This video was so helpful! I'm also vata, with pitta as secondary. I love a lot of the vegetables that are typically vata (kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, etc.) but I always cook them in lots of butter. I will try to steam my veggies more often though after watching this. Also, I had noticed that root chakra was often the most out of balance/deficient for me, while heart was excessive/unstable. Thank you for shedding more light on this!

Hi my dear friend! I woke up now after sleeping all night with this beautiful music in the background. But I'm still tired, I'm paying the price after a lot of physical effort cleaning up the flooded space and equipment after the storm. Lots of pain... but oh well. It's normal to feel that way since I'm not fully recovered yet. Despite the fatigue and pain, my sleep was good. My exercise to relax was looking at this boat on the lake and imagining myself lying on the boat, floating and looking at the moon...wow...so relaxing, I could feel the gentle swells of the lake making the boat gently rock, and so, little by little I fell asleep. I woke up well, despite being a little nauseous. It could have been because of the swing of the boat...lol I'm kidding It was because of the pain medication I took, which is very strong But the experience of falling asleep feeling like I was inside the boat and having the music as the frame of the process was amazing! My dear friend Kim, your music really has a special ingredient called love, because I can feel like you like what you do. This is really special! May your night be an excellent rest so that you can enjoy the weekend and be inspired more and more and bring songs that color the imagination. Have a good rest dear Kim. Kisses of light

Thank you so much for this great video! I'm also a Vata (+Pitta). I'm always cold even in summer haha. I recently started meditating each morning, and I found that my hands were naturally going towards the root chakra but I thought I had to have them open up on my knees (which was a bit uncomfortable sometimes, I now understand why, I'm really in need of grounding at the moment). So thank you for your reassurance in this, and for your great advice.

Thank you so much for this video, it makes so much sense to me: why I am happy sticking with the same yoga routine I have done since teenage years, why I have a devotion to Saint Brighid, why I hate scratchy jumpers, why I love my soft heated blanket, why I just want everything to calm down and be gentle. Etc. Wonderfully explained, thank you!! 🙏

Thank you very much for this free and easily accessible information Madam. I am a Vata type person and I can say that all the information you provided here is very accurate. Very Helpful and informative. I must say I have been doing it all wrong. Im glad I found your video and I will be trying these methods. I can also attest to the veracity of all this information as I have done research after research on these matters and nothing comes close to a good explanation as this one. My friends and I think I am this super health freak because I eat so clean by consuming tons of green smoothies and uncooked raw veggies and other "so called health foods" which they are BUT we MUST understand that what is healthy for one person may not be for another due to their body types. This is very important given our messed up health care industry in the West to determine what works for your body. Thank you dearly again and please continue bringing us light.

Namaste Emily. We hope you are doing well. Yes, sometimes it can take a good bit of work to get the doshas back in balance. Vata in particular tends to go out of balance easily. But with sincere effort and mindful observation of how things are benefiting or affecting you, it becomes much easier.

Makes sense - I always cook my greens in stews. Eating a cabbage stew right now w black eyed peas, in the broth is coconut amino acid braggs, and sesame oil, garlic and onion powder, pepper and salt.

so helpful, thanks so much! I suffer from so much body and muscle pain so I started taking milk and ghee just before bed and it has helped me so much. I also avoided milk for no reason but I guess it helps lubricate my joints along with the ghee. Also learnt not to have too much broccoli and cauliflower. In addition I started using mustard oil to coat my inner nostrils and navel.
