yes its nice to see that there are some very smart people that are not fooled by twisted lies that are presented to the goverments by JW lawyers . I really hate the way they never tell the full story and the trauma imposed upon those that are disfellowshipped. There are too many factors involved with how serious Jehovahs Organation went off the rails difellowshipping people. Its ridicilious. Disfellowshipping could be used in extreme cases where individuals disassociate themselves WILLINGLY or they are trying to spread a false teaching that is contrary to the teaching or Anti- Christ views . Often difellowshipping is imposed upon people and often unwarranted . In realiity they dont need to disfellowship anyone just let Jehovah deal with the issure. And im sure Jehovahs can understand the matters much better then these clown elders that really dont no much .

      @hannah9371 Рік тому +18

To be fair, it wasn't technically a disassociation letter because I've already been df'd. I know, it's complicated, but I'll explain. I had been df'd for seven years, but my dad (who was a witness) died last year in April. So of course, I wanted to be reinstated and become the best JW I could be in order to see him again. So I requested reinstatement. What a mistake. No contact, mere scraps of help and "spiritual food" from the elders and 20 months of just waiting. I flipped my life upside down. I separated from my partner because we weren't married and living together. You name it, I did everything I could to be worthy of reinstatement in these three men's eyes. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about now, but at the time, I was willing to go through whatever I could. But I started to see things and hear things about my beloved organization, so I thought, what can it hurt. First it was hearing about the ARC trial. I was SHOCKED. Then that opened the floodgates and I learned much MUCH more about what I was trying to desperately get back into. So, that began my waking up process and I began asking questions to my elders. Whoops, another mistake. Instead of praising my efforts to know the "truth", they only asked me why I was asking these questions and if they were apostate. So, that was that. I had fully woken up and told them my desire to not be considered for reinstatement anymore and the ugly truth about the truth.

First, I don't care if the Biblical scriptures support your beliefs and practices in regard to religiously based shunning or not, Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, nothing you say could ever convince me that that concept is okay. Second, why is a supposedly secular government like Norway giving taxpayer dollars to religious groups or religious institutions of any kind? Does Norway have a State religion that receives government support? Aren't the largest denominations of Christianity in Norway, Evangelical Lutheranism or Eastern Orthodox Christianity--and if so, do these denominations receive financial support from the government--or am I confusing Norway with Finland? Three, even if the Norwegian government permanently removes the Witnesses' tax-exempt status within the country that will in no way impede on the JWs' right to practice their religion--including engaging in the practice of shunning former members of the JW denomination.
Four, the possible removal of the Witnesses' status as a tax-exempt religious institution has nothing to do with the issue of religious freedom. And it should be fair to mention that governments actually can prevent people from engaging in certain religious practices that may cause legitimate harm to others, but are individualized Jehovah's Witnesses in Norway going to be penalized for practicing shunning? No, nor should they be. As sympathetic as I am to the Witnesses who endured persecution under the reign of the Third Reich, what exactly does that have to do with the Norwegian government possibly removing the Watchtower Society's tax-exempt status in the country? I'd really like to see governments hold the Watchtower Society to account for their lax policies regarding child sexual abuse within the denomination. That's an issue they really need to be held accountable for.

Freedom to shun others is in itself a personal freedom, just like refusing to hang out with someone because of their politics. So, they filed the appeal to argue that perspective, it is a human right. Also, ultimately each believer has free will to decide whether to believe in the biblical interpretation or not, and just leave.

The elders did not swear at all and did not order gifts in Ukraine (like other members of the Assembly) for themselves, but they avoided discussions with Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany, because they accused Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany of apostasy, since believers from Germany never avoided preaching, they were never refugees (like an elder in Oslo, etc.), the Germans did not swear like prominent members of the Assembly, the Germans did not order gifts for the Germans from Ukrainians in Ukraine, the Germans did not promise to beat (beat) the citizens of Ukraine living in Norway (citizens of Ukraine from Crimea complained about Jehovah's Witnesses from Voronezh. Believers "refugees" did not share a fishing rod with Crimeans and promised to beat them), the Germans did not order wine for LGBT representatives to celebrate their birthday, the Germans did not allow themselves to be massaged in the nude naked Norwegians, the Germans did not have 2 citizenships - Russian and Ukrainian (with the provision of Jehovah's Witnesses from Voronezh and a third - a residence permit for refugee from the Russian Federation in Norway. Although it is well known that no one persecutes Jehovah's Witnesses in Ukraine. It is well known that the payment of the state fee does not lead to the loss of the Ukrainian passport, no matter how much you would like it. It is well known that the application for withdrawal from Ukrainian citizenship does not lead to the loss of Ukrainian citizenship), the Germans did not prevent Ukrainians from studying the Bible (interestingly, open gays (Note: dozens of media outlets about Russian gays admitted to the Oslo Assembly) in the Russian Assembly were also happy with them did not interfere with participation in the Assembly) and the elder even personally instructed them to prevent Ukrainians from studying the Bible with the Russian Assembly of Oslo and much more .... Of course, those who denounced Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany as apostasy came from the capital of fake Jehovah's Witnesses - Voronezh)) ) One such refugee - "Jehovah's Witness" was split by the Norwegian Assembly itself in Stavanger, and she urgently thought of moving further from there to the expanses of Norway .....zzz

@AGoddess Three elders in the Russian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oslo were replaced a year ago. Russian-speaking does not mean Russian (Russian-speaking may be from Latin America, Georgia, etc., as it was in Oslo). Of course, those who denounced Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany as apostasy came from the capital of fake Jehovah's Witnesses - Voronezh)) ) One such refugee - "Jehovah's Witness" was split by the Norwegian Assembly itself in Stavanger, and she urgently thought of moving further from there to the expanses of Norway .....

      Theo cheese,
That is how the Witnesses are taught to view things. While it is true that the historical Jesus suffered a terrible fate, and while the New Testament authors claimed that Jesus told his followers that they would be persecuted, most modern Christians in the West, I would argue, don't have a clue as to what it is like to be persecuted for their religion. Often times, it tends to be fundamentalist Christians who are engaging in persecution towards other people that they look down on. The early Christians were certainly persecuted in horrific ways, though many martyrdom stories were made up. Once Christianity became the State religion in the Roman Empire, their attitudes towards heretics and apostates weren't much different than that of the pagans. The early Christians weren't very violent when it came to religious disagreement or really any other issue, but there were exceptions to the rule, of course. Hypatia of Alexandria, though not murdered for her religious beliefs (whatever they may have been, who knows?), was brutally killed because she was good friends with the city's Christian prefect by a group of fanatical Christian monks who thought that the bishop of the city should have been the local ruler, and these monks assumed that she automatically supported her prefect friend's right to rule. Most Christians, along with pagans, were outraged by Hypatia's murder and mourned her loss.
That point is, being a Christian or being religious isn't necessarily going to stop one from being cruel, violent, bigoted or hateful towards others. It depends on how one wishes to go about their religion.

I personally don't feel the slightest bit of sympathy for the governing body. They had so many opportunities to change their policies so they were less inhumane and abusive. As they realized some were not practical to impose on the newer generations. Also the fact they covered up so much CSA incriminates them further and makes it harder for me to feel an ounce of pity for them. I also feel bad for the JW's who aren't in the governing body that they took money from making them think it was about making more texts and movies and dramas for the org when really it was going into making sure they faced no legal consequences for child abuse and CSA.
Also the org tried to pick a malicious fight with the norwegian government when norway suggested considering pulling funding. That's just poking the shark tank at that point. And making it really hard to see the governing body as the victims here. It's almost like they're trying to make it worse for themselves on purpose. Goes to show what a massive persecution complex like theirs can do to a person's self preservation instincts I guess!

They use such words as singled out and attacked. Which isn’t true. They have to apply every year and they didn’t get approved. They are not the only religions that didn’t get approved either. There were at least 4 or 5 others. Not One word about those religions… and honestly why would the true religion need this money? It’s only 1 million and change, you can’t tell me that isn’t water under the bridge money for the jw’s.

    The Branch
    Ezekiel 1:10)
"As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a MAN, and the face of a LION, on the
right side: and they four had the face of an OX on the left side; they four also had the face of an EAGLE."
The Prophet Ezekiel saw this strange vision by the River Chebar in the land of the Chaldeans while
in captivity. He noticed this vision from a whirlwind out of the north.
    The Four Faces:
    1) Man
    2) Lion
    3) Ox
    4) Eagle
The Man represents 'Son of Man'; The Lion represents 'King', The Ox represents
'Servant'; and The Eagle represents 'Lord of The Air'.
The Prophet Zechariah is told about a Branch being a Servant, and a Branch being a Man...
    Zechariah 3:8)
"Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are
men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth MY SERVANT THE BRANCH."
    Zechariah 6:12)
"And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold THE MAN whose name is
THE BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:"
The Prophet Isaiah is told about a Branch of The Lord....
    Isaiah 4:2)
"In that day shall THE BRANCH OF THE LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit
of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel."
The Prophet Jeremiah is told about a Branch being a King...
    Jeremiah 23:5)
"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a RIGHTEOUS BRANCH, and
a KING shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth."
These three prophets were told about Branches related to:
    1) Man
    2) Lion
    3) Servant
    4) King
    __________________________________________________________________________________
The Four Gospels of The Lord Jesus also represent him as...
    1) King - Matthew
    2) Servant - Mark
    3) Son of Man - Luke
    4) Son of God - John
Each Gospel represents all of the following, but the above mentioned start off with representations...
When Matthew presents genealogy, he presents it via the Royal Line. When Luke presents the
Gospel, he presents it through the Adam (son of Man) line. When Mark presents The Lord in
his Gospel, he presents him as the Servant; and when John presents the Lord Jesus, he does it
    as The Son of God.
    Acts 13:38,39)
"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you
    the forgiveness of sins:
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not
be justified by the law of Moses."
Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ; and thou shalt be saved!

Was the sign of Cain a Lion. Cain worshipped Jehovah God. He offered sacrifices to him. So did Jehovah forgive him by marking his land with the Lion. The Mark of Cain.
Genesis 4:13 At this Cain said to Jehovah: “The punishment for my error is too great to bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land,* and I will be hidden from your face; and I will become a wanderer and a fugitive on the earth, and anyone who finds me will certainly kill me.” 15 So Jehovah said to him: “For that reason, anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times.”
So Jehovah established a sign for Cain in order that no one finding him would strike him. 16 Then Cain went away from before Jehovah and took up residence in the land of Exile, to the east of Eʹden.
Genesis 4:24 If 7 times Cain is to be avenged,
      Then Laʹmech 77 times.”
Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came and said to him: “Lord, how many times is my brother to sin against me and am I to forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him: “I say to you, not up to seven times, but up to 77 times.23 “That is why the Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.

Acts 7:10... God gave him favor before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. God also gave Joseph unusual wisdom, so that Pharaoh appointed him ruler over all of Egypt and put him in charge of everything he owned.
The Great Pyramid has 8 sides. The 8 sides represent the 8 kingdoms of the world. Jesus is the corner stone. The last kingdom to rule forever.
There is actually ten sides counting top and bottom. First Empire was Nimrod. Who represents Babylon the Great, the Empire of false religion. The bottom of the pyramid is a side. All eight Kingdoms of Revelation ride with the harlot, Babylon the Great.
The Great Pyramid having no top corner stone and
the top being flat is the Harlot. Jesus is the cornerstone the builders rejected. The Nations would rather follow the Harlot than Jesus. Revelation 17:9 “This calls for a mind that has wisdom: The seven heads mean seven mountains, where the woman sits on top. 10 And there are seven kings: Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet arrived; but when he does arrive, he must remain a short while. 11 And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also an eighth king, but it springs from the seven, and it goes off into destruction.
Matthew 21:42 Jesus said to them: “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone that the builders rejected, this has become the chief cornerstone. This has come from Jehovah, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? 43 This is why I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits.
What does the Sphinx really represent. Because Jesus is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
Isaiah 19:19 In that day there will be an altar to Jehovah in the middle of the land of Egypt and a pillar to Jehovah at its boundary. 20 It will be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry out to Jehovah because of the oppressors, and he will send them a savior, a grand one, who will save them.
Revelation 5:5 But one of the elders said to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
