Stefan decided to propose to his boyfriend Simon. He is a former ballet dancer. Simon had no idea that he is already considering marriage. It isn't even legal in Germany yet. Stefan wanted to pop the question but didn't know how to. He wanted to do it the most thoughtful unique way. Because Simon is a former ballet dancer, he loves classical music and dance.
He was told they would meet up with their friend Lisa to have an early dinner.
What he DIDN'T KNOW is that Stefan hired us, SimplyYes, to help him arrange the surprise marriage proposal. We have been planning for months without him knowing anything. Family and friends were involved. They came together on the afternoon of the 20th of may.
They were hidden at a cafe at the "Opernplatz". It's in the centre of the beautiful historic district, the heart of Frankfurt.
Family and friends hide, ready to move to surprised Simon. With heart shaped balloons and the letters of MARRY ME.
Simon was told they meet a friend for an early dinner. Never would he have thought of a surprise marriage proposal.
But how would we explain all the cameras and the huge speakers? Simon didn't realize half of the hidden cameras. He didn't see any of the family and friends. When Simon and Stefan arrived at the time we planned, Stefan needed to leave for the restroom.
Lisa, who performed great, told Simon to sit with her and wait for Stefan to come back. There was a hip hop crew dancing and Lisa told him they do "something for UA-cam". So he didn't wonder about the speaker nor the cameras.
But then the hip hop music changed into classic tunes. And what happened next? Simon couldn't believe his eyes when he saw dancers of the national ballet. Family and friends arrived..and then he knew.
Watch his reaction!! It will bring a smile and tears to your eyes the same time.
That is far the best surprise marriage proposal ever! Even if gay marriage isn't legal in Germany yet! They proof that love doesn't know boundaries!
