Sir, we have taken all the sequences in one loop, assuming that sum of all sequence voltages in one phase is zero...But if there is a fault impedance, can we still operate on this assumption cause now the sum of voltages are not zero.....and Again Thanks a lot sir, for these excellent lectures...
Sir : Good Evening My Question : If we connect the Back-Up generator's neutral and External normal supply Distribution Transformer's neutral to the same earth pit solidly grounded what will be the implication? operation of generator will be only when mains supply fails and isolation between Gen. and the Normal supply will be by a manual changeover switch. Your teaching method reminds me of my best teachers. Thanks
Thank you for the comment. As per my understanding, there is no harm in connecting the two neutrals. Your question indicates that you are an industrial expert. I will be happy if you can elaborate some practical aspects of the above connection.

@@DrAfrozAlam Assalamo Alaiqum sir I am from Pakistan. sir here in Pakistan , in case of large load we do not connect transform and generator neutral together. we use common neutral only for small load. I donot know why is this?? as you say there is no issue to connect both together.
@Shoaib Maqsood, Wa Alaikum Assalam, When the two neutrals are connected, zero sequence current gets its path which flows during unbalanced loading. In distribution system, loads in three phases are generally not exactly balanced. However, in previous question, you may note that generator (backup generator) only operates when main supply fails and there is isolation between the two by manual changeover switch.

Before fault, Vr=Er as Er is EMF induced in R-phase i.e. Er is phase voltage (not line voltage). We have already defined it in the video lecture. See at time 3:28
Sir one more thing why are we considering that The prefault conditions to be no load because in most of the practical cases it is likely that the system will be loaded while fault occurs?

But in exam they included this opening of one or two conductors is also as an unsymmetrical fault... Kindly please clarify my doubt sir🙏🙏🙏🙏
No, positive sequence current will not flow through fault impedance as algebraic sum of the three positive sequence currents (IR1, IY1 and IB1) is zero.

can you please guide
Sir could you please explain my doubt

It is an assumption to simplify calculation without affecting it's accuracy at large.

sir i have one Doubt . Can L-G Fault occur in DC Supply?
Yes, such fault is known as DC ground fault.

Sir fault impedance ma positive sequence current bhi to flow karega..As fault current is the sum of all three
So why this impedance is only in zero sequence network
No, positive sequence current will not flow through fault impedance as algebraic sum of the three positive sequence currents (IR1, IY1 and IB1) is zero.
@@DrAfrozAlam but sir IF is equal to IR0 +IR1+IR2 .This mean IR1 is flow in this part
@@amansanatani6393 Yes, IF = IR =IR1+IR2+IR0 = 3IR0 as IR1=IR2=IR0
@Aman Sanatani IR1 will not flow through fault impedance, it is basically IR0 which is equal to IR1 (in case of L-G Fault).
What is Ir,Ir1 and Ir2
ua-cam.com/video/mSDOfgt7qfI/v-deo.html
But if zn=0 then xn must be 0 ????
Of course as Zn = Rn + j Xn
