  • Multiple potential 2024 NBA Draft prospects matchup up on Wednesday, with the G League Ignite taking on the Perth Wildcats of the NBL.
G League Ignite players Ron Holland, Matas Buzelis, Izan Almansa, Tyler Smith and Perth Wildcats Alexandre Sarr and Ben Henshall all saw action in the exhibition, with many raising their stock in the process.
The Ignite coasted to a 124-105 win on the night, spreading the wealth deep into the roster.
Sarr and Holland were the big winners on the night stock-wise, outing themselves as two of the best talents on the floor with ease.
Sarr - a 7-foot-1 forward with a mobile, wing-style game - impressed with his strong interior presence on both ends of the court. He looked like far-and-away the best player on the court at times, posting 17 points, seven rebounds, six blocks and one steal and assist apiece in total.
With more performances like Wednesday’s, he’ll easily insert himself as one of the top players in the class.
Nearly every prospect, save for Almansa, got off to a slow start, with everyone else coming around as the game wore on.
Holland was one who got off to a slower start, but eventually exploded in the second quarter via his athleticism, showcasing strong shot-creation too.
By the end of the night, Holland had wowed in a variety of areas, posting a game-high 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting, adding five rebounds, three steals and one block and assist apiece.

I know Ben Henshall wasn't one of the "featured" players most people are watching this game for.... but Henshall #10 for the Perth Wildcats is a legit NBA prospect too.
He plays for the Centre of Excellence/ NBA Global Academy Australia.... which is the team Josh Giddey, Dyson Daniels, Tyrese Proctor, Andrew Bogut, Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles, Aaron Baynes, and Dante Exum all started their careers in.
He's a 6'6" point guard who's only 19 years old, and he just finished leading the entire NBA Academy Games in Atlanta, averaging 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists.
He's athletic, a good passer, plays above the rim, he's quick, an excellent shooter, and a good perimeter defender too.
Don't be surprised when you see Ben Henshall get drafted by an NBA team in the next one or two years.

Usher, Sarr and Cotton should be in the NBA

I don’t think they are good enough to play meaningful minutes yet. Sarr is way too raw. He has the athleticism and could be a great rim runner. He lacks strength, the ability to box out, the ability to make the right reads as a big, and perimeter defense.
Cotton needs to show more scoring ability off ball. He’s a good shooter but he needs something else to add to his shooting. His defensive positioning is a little off.
Usher also needs to work on his defense. Having active hands would increase the chances of getting deflections. I would like to see some playmaking from him. He makes the right passes, but needs to show he can create for others.
