This is the best podcast you guys have put out for a young fabricator. Genuinely some of the best advice and can't thank you guys and Adam enough.
What an insightful, wise, thoughtful, skilled young man. Awesome interview. So glad you put him on the interview list.
Awesome so far. Only halfway through but can't wait to hear the balance.
Best interview yet. I watch all the car related podcasts, ie the guys who work on the cars. Loved that he had his own questions. Adam is my favorite IG person to follow. His workmanship is top notch and he has answered a handful of my questions I've asked. I'm 18yrs into working on cars. I do high end paint and bodywork and have about 9 years of metalwork under my belt. I aspire to get my metal skills on Adam's level. Say it takes 10,000 hrs to master a skill. I think this is true for body and paint. What I do now is just muscle memory. Metalwork however, I think that's a lifetime skillset. 10yrs, 20yrs, 30yrs, you can continuously learn to be better with metal shaping. There are so many different paths to get to the same result and each path takes years of mastering. Look at Lazze who leans towards the english wheel and then look at Tinman, Cornfield Customs who use the power hammer. Both can get to the same end product but different skillsets. And body and paint work is just that, body and paint work. Every metalworking job is different and has it's own challenges.
Unmatched talent, Adam's not bad either!
When it comes to fabricators, Adam is the best of the best. I've had the privilege of spending hours watching and talking with him while he's doing metal fabrication and upholstery work. My suggestion is for nobody to ever do that, because you'll never be happy with your own work ever again...
4 hrs? This better be good.
