    I have one of these and I'm a carpenter. I cut a hole in the bottom of the main tool slot to turn it into a hammer holder, works great 👍

    I love my MP1! I bought it because of one of your earlier videos.
    It really is handy having a small assortment of tools right there when working on something. It's so much easier to grab a tool out of a pouch versus fishing around in your back pocket blindly.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance

      Very true… it also saves that screwdriver putting a big mark in a hardwood floor. Ask me how I know 😂

    The MP1 is a great piece of kit. I snagged a big magnet from
    holstery and keep it on the belt clip. I keep mine setup mostly for electrical/low voltage wiring and its nice to be able to stick it to whatever unit im working on.

    These pouches have a nice pocket set up I have bought 2 in the past 3 years because the belt loop setup is the weak link to these pouches they tear after about a years use.

    Long before the days of Veto in the UK, I used to have a belt mounted tool pouch for front line maintenance work, but now I need a lot more tools with me for the work, so I find these pouches too limiting for me. Nice to see others are making use of them though.

    FYI -- the TP1L and TP2L are the leather, USA-Made tool pouches - hence the higher price tag and lower production volume.
    ...they're also making the new Drill Holster and Tool Roll domestically - which is nice.

    I was also a facilities manager for a large complex. I’ve been thinking really hard on starting my own business like you. Is that your only job at the moment…. Morgan’s Maintenance

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Рік тому +3

      Yes it is. It’s been going well so far but I already did a little side work before I went 100% so I had several contacts always wanting me to do more work than I had time. Because of that I have been busy most days and have yet to hand out a business card.
      I have mostly been doing bigger jobs… which is bigger money, but I want to build to mostly service type work. It’s just what I like doing, and it’s a little easier logistically and by yourself. That will just take time to grow one customer at a time.
      It is a little weird not having to “be somewhere” until a set time. But it’s super nice that when I’m done… I go home.

    • @espressomatic
      @espressomatic Рік тому +4

      @@MORGANSMaintenance I'm in the same situation. Typically doing larger renos, prefer smaller jobs as better bang for time. And despite living in a very populated area where you can't buy a house for less than $1 million, people are cheap as hell.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Рік тому

      @@espressomatic yeah I haven’t picked up many service customers in the last several months because I have been weeding out the cheap people…
      The service customers I want are the ones who call me and say “I want you to do it” . If I get a handful of those every year I will be in good shape.
      There is no money in going to look at a job that will take an hour, give them a price, then drive back to do the work a week later… unless you charge out the whazoo.
