This song won the vote for next song we do on Behind The Barz With ScriptWork. Get ready!!!
Black Thought's wordplay, cadence shifts, schemes are fuckin crazy. It ain't fair that he is FINALLY getting his props.
In too deep, I will, those kinda nights! ☝
Looking forward for it ,its a fine time for hip hop!
Can’t wait! Can’t wait to see the scarf &/or tie choices 🙋🏼♀️
No doubt can't wait for yins to do this on behind the bars 🔥🔥🔥
The MGK scheme: Eminem's saying MGK is his son who was born just after a 3 month pregnancy. That is a premature birth. Meaning MGK most likely has some deformities as a result of this premature birth. In other words, MGK might be a product of the game, with Em playing a large part in it, but is not a well formed MC.
George Ponle exactly my takeaways from this bar!
Yep
Thats a bar
He got some extra chromosomes
My understanding is he's saying that when he married 'the game' he didn't notice her belly because she was only three months pregnant. He's calling MGK an illegitimate kid.
BEHIND THE BARZ! These youngins need to appreciate the genius of Black Thought and QTip...legends for a reason. Em paying homage and respect to the OGs

Black Thought vs Eminem in a rap battle 🔥
@@anonymouswombat9709 Now THAT would break my sanity AND the internet. 🔥🔥🤪
Jan T ...you get it..congrats. Remember Black Thought said he's the "god in flesh".
Anonymous Wombat ...Teacher Vs the Terrorist. The Black Thought Vs The White Hope. 😃
I love how people will go out of their way to shit on Eminem and call him a "guest" or a "culture vulture" but yet, he gets nothing but love and praise from all the greats in the game! 💯 we all know what it is tho! #FACTS
All because the mf is white smh that shit is whack! & if he was solely successful because his skin color then why in the 22 years of him bein out has there not been not even one white boy to reach even a quarter of his success?
Answer: because niggas ain't fucking with the goofy white boys or pop style or dope but just not lyrical enough white rappers...mac miller dope (RIP) but he wasn't lyrically inclined on a Goat level.. Yelawolf ( who I hope isn't a racist like Royce has been implying cuz i love yela man!) But he's lyrical but it doesn't connect like EM.. List goes on.. Idc what anyone.. I'm black & im from bedstuy.. Big & Hov my favorite rappers ..9x out of 10 I'm prolly in a mood for Jay as opposed to Em...BUT! If we talking talent, skill, & pure lyrical ability...Smh nobody is touching Em.. only mf's I can think of is Royce obviously & Pun..sometimes crooked i.
I love you all to death and you all are the best since I've been watching and my name is Shannon and I always thumbs up you have a good day
@Manny Perez
Well spoken my friend...
I think it’s all about stylistic when it comes to Eminem..
He might not be your cup of tea but he is highly respected in this hip hop game as 1 of the goats..
I have no issues with him being the goat as arguments can be made as why he should be.
He checks all the boxes...
Also, people need too see it from this aspect that Eminem, being white, really busted his ass off and overcame a lot of odds to be where he is now with all the greats in the game. It’s no easy feat that a white boy has the same status as em in the game and among the OGs.
Fuckin right
Crazy how Eminem can still spit like this at 47. To me he sounds like he’s getting better as he gets older lol
By now and at this stage of his life, these words are like tetris to him. Age ain't nothing but a number.
Redman did too
Oh he's become what I knew he could be. And he ain't done! Not even close
He is better!!!
@👁 "music was better in my day but no one younger than me can like it or I'll bitch and moan"
Its official. You guys are the best reactors. Breaking bars down and knowledge of the old school.
Thank you kindly
adel ahmed them and theres a guy named the third ernest honestly he catchs bars
with scary ass singing at the start of some reactions. no one is gonna go back. #thirdernest
Third earnest is up there as well. All are good. All these cats that break down the bars are doing hip hop a great service. Otherwise the talent that some of these artists have such as em wouldn't be fully appreciated.
Sooo Em really made it official. ❤
" All my dogs is at the reservoir" - (Reservoir Dogs) BARS! ps: Em shouting in the back "keep going" at 11:21
Bars!
That shouting was everything!! 💯
He did a bunch of movie references in that scheme.
Reservoir Dogs
Long kiss goodnight
Edge of Darkness
Heat
Quentin Tarantino in this Bitch 🔥🔥🔥
"The ominous 'Indominus Rex'" is a reference to Jurassic World as well. He went HARD on the movie references.
Royces last bar “Im just laying down like caulk in tile”. I just did the tile in my bathroom. I felt that. 😆
Lol..dope
Love when black thought was going crazy Eminem ad-lib was "KEEP GOING!" but yea he a culture vulture lol... haters gonna hate
I can tell em just let black thought keep going
As an old head this was my favorite track and I loved all the tracks. Them paying homage to so many using a Busta sample and throwing so much love to those before them is amazing. Keep killing it fellas! Definitely need a behind the bar to this.
Bet!
And that J Dilla drumbeat homage!!!
Yup! Couldn't agree more. People always say they want the Old Em. I've personally enjoyed his evolution more. He's always paid homage to the forefathers, and now he's putting them on the track.
Em went all out on this record.
The High hopes cus if he’s not, black thought will out rap him lol
Because if you got royce and black thought on a song you gotta go hard or you will be left in the dust
@@vincent_8817 definitely.
@@vincent_8817 I'm late but.. it's Em you're talking about. 😎
black thought bodied eminem on this song.
It never gets old seeing Lem move out the way when you hit the screen bub! Love this shit
Gotta Duck for cover
😂😂😂
Royce's opening bar is being missed and its insanely fire, and he ain't paying homage he firing SHOTS. This will be a long explanation because this bar takes a knowledge of specific things hip hop game to really catch(y'all probably got it on another listen being the real hip heads you are). Royce's opening line "Bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum, hon, I got the old pa-rum-pum-pum-pum" is a direct quote from das efx's song "they want efx" his next two lines are "A punk'll jump up to get him a beat down
At least sound, I sound like these clowns, like he sound" the first line is a reference to lord jamars group brand nubian and they're track of the same name. The second line is a reference to eminem's song "fall" on Kamikaze where Em calls Lord Jamar a clown. So he's clearly firing shots. Here's where it gets wild. When das efx first came out they're style which they dubbed "sewage" was unlike anything else, quickly became copied by a lot of artists and was then common. He's essentially saying Lord jamar is a copy and sounds like doo doo water, I sound like a clown like he sound. Telling LJ you sound like a clown you a dime a dozen rapper. Another meaning is that once Puba left the group lord jamar turned to try being a producer. " a punk'll jump up to get him a beat down" calling LJ a punk and saying you couldn't cut it as a rapper with the group carrying you and tried to start making beats. Also ties into "at least sound." Beats and sound=production. Their was so much packed into that it blew my mind.
Waw
Knox Hill caught it bro, but good explanation!!
Royce is lyrically insane, just like Em and Black Thought.
This is one of my fave songs of MTMB , alongside I Will and Marsh!
I got a notification for this video so I had to excuse my self from the dinner table BECAUSE THIS IS MY FAV SONG OFF THE ALBUM!!! AND YOU ARE MY FAV REACTORS!!!!!!

One of my fav songs on the album. Wish Tip had an actual verse but Black was so good. I wanna be alive to see Eminem have a song with Treach tho
Me toooooo! We were waiting on Tips verse!
The hook was flames tho..one of the best rap voices of all time
I want Em and Redman
@@baslanhalaw9404 They have a song together called "Off The Wall" unless you are saying you want present Em and Red together which would be dope just as the past 2! 👌🏼🔥💯

"I'm In a Slick Rick eye patch, I got it from Hex". Hex Murda is like the Kingpin of Detroit Hip Hop. One of the most well known people in Detroit, and one of the coolest people you'll ever meet in your life.
Eminem's "Marsh" and "No Regrets" with Don Toliver!! these two are amazing tracks!!!!
Black Thought murdered this
@@mattkinsman272 ok guy. I've been following The Roots since their first album because I was old enough too. All I said was he murdered the verse Mr. Edge.
He went crazy

This is a great track. We can tell when you guys are really feeling the music and it makes the reaction that much better! 🔥🔥🔥💯
Crazy most don't have it on the top 5 of personal choice off the album
This song reminds what rap was before. Back in the time of NWA, Dre, Tupac, mob deep. Etc. Nice. Thanks for the breakdown
Yes!!!! Most anticipated reaction for me!
This track is FieYah....... old school, true hip hop... SICK
"makin plaques outta they head, like dead venison." My favorite bar. Venison is Dear meat, and when you kill a Buck you hang it on the wall like a plaque.
Much respect to @IAMLEMCOLLINS because as much as he was falling asleep or was dozing off he was still catching those bars mad respect
#sleepnation 😂
Slaughterhouse is a sickness get me, Black Thought’s the “... I'm a miracle, I'm still super lyrical live from the Terrordome, loud like a megaphone...” Super Lyrical was a song with Big Pun🙏🏽 This track is an homage to some of hip hops greatest and deserves a #behindthebarz breakdown
I've been waiting for you all to do this reaction. No one knows hip hop history like you two.
Y'all re just amazing
I feed off your fire energy and I have a smile on my face the whole vid
Thank you. Em gives it to us, we give it to y’all and y’all give it right back. #HugLife
Black Thought is the one of the very few people who could take that W on a em track from Eminem.. what a monster... #Goat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🐐
Everyone was on point on this track
💯
Nobody has taken a W from EM on his track... and this remains after this album too
No.
Just because he was closer than most people going on the same track as Em doesn't mean he actually took a W. They were both doing their thing - you can hear Em saying 'keep going' in the background of Black thought's verse. 🔥
Been waiting for this! One of my favorites on the album!
Whomp here it is!
Once again you both nailed it. Thanks for the reaction and catching all those bars. I missed so many of them. This song was 🔥! I loved Royce flow.
Q tip give this track the extra surprise I was not ready for. Eminem did it again.
"Papers a hand grenade soon as I pull the PEN out" damn that's a bar.
No one needs to feel they have to defend Eminem,he slaughtered all those that came at him.
Old school rap, hip hop culture homage. So many legends /titans in 1 song... My Lord.... Amazing
They missed the JFK on MLK on the front lawn in the cross fire.
Crosses on fire in MLK's front lawn. KKK
Crossfire is also one of the most well known JFK books about his assaination. It was later turned into a movie as well

Big ups to you for your appreciation for quality music. All the guys on this song are legendary. Royce, Black, Tip, and Marshall are elite. They're in a league of legends like the game. They all bodied this beat. Big ups to Denaun for producing the beat. The Brand Nubian reference in Royce's verse is ILL. Brand Nubian came out with a song Called Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down like 30 years ago. The group of Sadat X, Grand Puba, and Jamar is legendary. This whole song is lit. Royce, Thought from the Legendary Roots Crew, and Marshall murked this joint. Q-Tip from Tribe Called Quest got busy too. I've been bumping the music of every spitter on this song for many years. R.I.P. Phife Dawg from Tribe Quest. Denaun produced this beat. He got busy too. Black and Royce are top 15 of all time. Em is top 5 of all time. Tip is in my top 30 or 40 of all time. When you can, check out Wishin Part 2 by Royce ft Black Thought and Guerrilla Monsoon Rap by Talib Kweli, Black Thought, Kanye West, and Pharoahe Monch. That Long Kiss Goodnight song by Biggie reference is fire too. The God in the flesh part is a Nation of Gods reference. The original man of the planet is God. The original man of the planet and father of all humanity is fully melanated. J Dilla is producer. Dilla is one of the best producers of all time. He produced stuff for cats like Elzhi, who's from Michigan too. Elzhi is one of the best rappers of all time too. What if Elzhi was on this song too? Thutmose The Third was an Egyptian Pharaoh. When Black Thought said he's the Honorable Minister, he referred to Minister Farrakhan, if I'm not mistaken. Black Thought spat the second verse and Tip sang the hook. Em's shoutouts to all the melanated rap predecessors and groups that emerged before Em are incredible. Lamont Coleman and James Todd are two of the greatest rappers of all time. Erick P Making Dollars is a legendary group. N***** Wit Attitude is legendary. ODB from Wu is legendary. Big ups to Rakim God Allah & Eric B. Big ups to Run DMC group from the 80s. Big ups to Kool G Rap. He and Rakim are top 2 of all time. Shout out to Ice T , Eazy E, and Dr Dre. R.I.P. Big L, Biggie, Eazy, ODB, and the rest of the artists who passed away. The Ice Cube song and Protect Ya Neck by Wu song references are heat. Some of the names Em shouted out are people I never listened to. I'm surprised he didn't shout out Outkast, Twista, Common, Masta Ace, DOOM, Kurupt, Ras Kass, Guru, and Mobb. Eminem always shows reverence for the melanated predecessors who influenced him. Slick Rick the UK-born rapper is one of the legends as well.Super Lyrical is a song by Pun ft Thought. Big Pun is top 10 of all time. Black is one of the illest ever. Both of these cats are super lyrical. Rest In Power Christopher Rios. Super Lyrical is a song on Big Pun's Capital Punishment album that came out in 1998.
Lem don’t punch the glass enough 👊🏽💥 I be waiting on him to FIGHT BACK!
Wait until you do Marsh people be sleeping on it.. Its low-key bars 🔥🔥🔥
Black thought raised the bar. Eminem came in and stretched it out like the octamom 🐐
I love this one it’s my favorite track from the cd well this one and “I will”
Hands down the best. 100%
This song is amazing! That said, you HAVE TO BE VERY EDUCATED to be able to break down Black Thought's part of the song, he DESERVES every bit of respect you can give him.
