I really enjoyed them :) didn’t realise they are on the down low but if you’re up in Elgin I’m sure there will be people around that know them. They were running so dry and well the day I rode them! No probs :)
Yeah I hadn’t appreciated the private land situation as had seen a few other videos etc even from people who were local. Have kept the overall title but removed the references of where exactly to find them. If you know locals and can ride with them that’s a good way to do it 👍
Newbie me, took my newbie wife up the masts today, but she had work and couldn't risk the proper trails and proper accident, so we wimped out. Looks like lots of fun once we get our skills up though!
Ah it is quite a tough place when new to it. Some bits mellower than others but a lot of features on the way down the trails. Definitely, trails will be there waiting :)
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB Yeah was out biking myself the other day and there was actually forest road dust near the trails I was visiting, not often you see that in Scotland! 😂
Thanks! They were good, especially in the dry - running nice and fast! Haha I need to go back there are try and get some of the smaller ones. Some of the big ones are crazy!
They’re not the easiest if you don’t know the place. All secret and I found out later after I’d filmed theres a private agreement for the land with the locals so that’s why. If you know someone they may be able to show you around or give some pointers :)
they are supposed to be secret ish so youtubers dont tell people but if put into google maps craig dunain duck pond and park up there then just head up the hill towards the mast most of the trails start right at the top near the mast
Laura Jane MTB it's all good. I've ridden up there once and cracked my helmet next to that slab. More skills to work on before I go near it again. I think there's a £10 annual fee to cover insurance and keep the landowner sweet and keep the trails in such good condition maybe once my confidence is up... I've seen some lads on the big gap lìne up there. Looking forward to seeing your attempts 👍
Ahh ok that’s a tricky one working with the landowner. Ouch! Sounds a sore crash!! There are some serious jumps there - would love to see someone doing them and try follow in on the smaller ones I had my eye on. Hopefully I’ll get back soon 😊
Hi someone messaged me this morning to let me know about the private land so i edited the video an hour later to remove any description of where they are so that it’s just riding. If there’s anything still there let me know which part of the vid and I’ll take a look again thanks
This is where I’m from and I’ve never even ridden here. Guess what I’ll be doing next time I visit 😁. Looked like fun and plenty to chose from.
Yeah there’s a good variety! Lots of good trails dotted around the highlands in general. Always enjoy the riding!
Ooooh only an hour from Elgin. Think I’ll have to do some exploring. Cheers Laura.

Another great vid Laura. I may be up here in October if there aren't more restrictions by then 🤙
Thanks! Let’s hope. It’s a great place, especially for jumps!

Laura, great VLOG cracking trails wherever they are🤔👍😂😂
Thanks! Didn't realise they were a bit secret oops! They were riding great in the dry!
That first trail is so lovely..
Tasty Click By Fah it’s a good one! Lots of small features to carry the speed over - my kind of feel good trail!
Good to see some excellent trails been ridden really well, thanks for sharing! 😁🤙
Ebike Xplorer MTB thanks! They were running well the day I rode them. Not often trails in Scotland are dry 😂. It’s a pleasure :)

Looking to hit this place are the trails easy enough to find??

Good stuff, I need to ride that.
Cheers, yeah good trails!
Great saying Inverness but where in Inverness are these trails?

nice 👍 👌
Thanks!
Look awesome! But those gap jumps? 😱 No. Just no... 😂
They are crazy aren’t they?! 😂 some massive ones!
You're not meant to say where they are! 🙈😂
😬😬😬 may have been a bit too descriptive! Altho I guess people will need to know where they’re going as the duck pond could be anywhere 😊

Wouldn't worry too much, I'm local and didn't know precisely where to go.

Gonna edit or delete this video please.. these are private trails on private land and you've just disclosed the location to everyone , cheers

just adjusted the description too - realised there was still a bit of text in there about the location that I'd missed editing this morning
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB perfect Laura thank you 🙏
