I agree. Faith is not a blind, don't know, yet believe it anyway. Faith to me is a very real knowing. It's coming to understand that I belong to a system, a plan, a purpose, a Universe, a God, bigger than myself. I am a part of a whole. Faith is knowing what is and what needs to be transcends my desires and serves the whole, not just me.
It's such a pity, I feel like you are neglecting your you tube channel.... We were always glued to the channel, especially on Sundays.... Now there is hardly any new content, and we've seen the old content 10 times over...its a pity, we have always enjoyed Andy's teachings very much. All of the best.
Hey there! We add our sermons weekly on Mondays to the playlists LATEST FULL SERVICES. On Sundays we livestream at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. here on UA-cam as well.
that is an extremely good question, one that I believe God wants us all to ask...you might be surprised by the answers though. As Andy suggested, God doesn't answer every prayer, if He did, we would all be in a lot of trouble. But to be godly, to walk in mercy to be humble and with a broken spirit and a contrite heart, this is how we must come to the Lord to request grace in our time of need. Enter into His Courts with praise, bow before Him, and He will show you things to come. Remember that as you seek God, with your whole heart, that He is God and the rewarder of those that seek Him. For many, they did not see the promises of God in their time, and many saw the promises fulfilled, but not necessarily in the ways they had supposed. We can say that for Moses, it took 40 years for him to be molded by God in the wilderness, in a solitary way, but when God called him, Moses argued even then. But when Moses submitted to God and obeyed and went to do the thing he was born for, things didn't work out the way he thought they would...not by a long shot. But he became who God wanted him to be and do the things God wanted him to do, even unto death. But he also received the promise of Jesus, and believed God for Him. Lynn (Linda): meaning "flexible, soft, mild". It also coincides with the Spanish and Portuguese word linda meaning "beautiful"
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
After,, listening to this explication or FAITH I feel so embarrassed and humiliation that I turned my back on Jesus and walked away angry and it’s been more than ten years since I chose to do that.
Does Andy believe that Jesus stripes paid for healing? His messages are well articulated. It would be great to see this large ministry doing healing ministry.
It is really none of my business as I don"t go to North Point and I realize my comment sounded rude. I like Andy Stanley. I like his kindness towards women and children. Very few pastors are this way. It is just that there are so many poor and middle class people that are believers. I don't understand why a pastor should be so rich for telling about God and Christ. It might be a mistake that is made but I believe it causes a blindness and apathy towards the poor. Being rich for a pastor of Christ does not seem scriptural. And there must be so many pastors at that church. I think most pastors should work a job and then teach on Sunday. I was just a little disappointed in him taking such a large salary but it is none of my business. I like him. I think he is smart and I like that he read the bible while he was young. This being rich is discussed in Amos and other places in the bible. I think a pastor should be paid a decent salary of course but the rich have always been rich and will always be rich. Thank you @@NorthPointAtlanta
Andy Stanley seems like a kind and earnest person, but this assertion-about unanswered prayers-that "you just wanted 'the gods' to do your bidding" misses the point and is condescending. For myself, and I think many others, it's not that we asked for something, got a "no", and then threw a temper tantrum, as implied; we got no answer. Zip. Nothing ever on the other end of the telephone line. We tried many Christian traditions, many spiritual practices, hundreds of hours earnestly seeking, and nothing. A simple "no", or a "not yet, and here's why" would be one thing. It'd be an answer, an acknowledgement that something or someone, in some form, was at least "out there". This experience has not been the cause of why I'm at where I'm at, but it's contributed. I think Christian believers would do well to sit with this for awhile. If you're going to reply, please first hear my comment as an honest and heartfelt reflection on this video, and I ask you not to pile on with "aha, here's where you went wrong / here's why you had the wrong god", etc.
Thanks for sharing your experience Nathan. Is it possible that "no answer" could be interpreted as "not yet" in your situation? Would love to understand what you were looking for specifically.
I suppose hypothetically it's possible; that is roughly what I believed for 30 or so years. For me, though, the lack of any type of spiritual connection-communication, response to prayer, spiritual meaningfulness, "blessed assurance", anything at all-really came into focus for me when I became a parent. To engender trust, you show up for your kids over and over. They know your voice. You meet their needs in clear ways. You wouldn't mess with their tiny heads by neglecting them until they came to interpret your absence to mean "not yet". You would never expect them to develop faith from your silence. The parent I am to my kids is utterly different from the God I have never experienced. Eventually, I felt I had no choice but to give up hoping for something that was evidently not forthcoming, to stop blaming myself, etc.
Nathan Eanes I think you may find an answer to your question in the Lord’s Prayer. It is not about what you ask for, or even an answer but a resignation to Gods will weather we understand or not. Prayer is how we get to know ourselves and our weakness in the context of an infinite creator that knows our prayers before we pray. Prayer is not a dialogue, it is submission to God’s plan despite the fact that we don’t know it. But with the confidence that even the most despicable evil or cruel tragedy will be used for good in the end
I'm with you on this one. I'm also struggling to come to grips on how to connect the dots... And you know the best part... I've been a pastor for 21 years. I'm struggling with a life threatening disease. Dr's gave up hope, and all Christians keep on telling me is have faith! Have faith, while my family is falling apart. Have faith, while we're being financially ruined. Have faith, while my health is deteriorating. Have faith, without as much as a whisper from God. Have faith... Oh I know the Biblical answers, the Scriptural references. But I would give anything, ANYTHING to just hear Him. To NOT be reminded of "the Bible says" or "it is written in..." He's supposed to be my Father, yet He feels a lot like a Father who's never around when needed. Well after 21 years I'm slowly but surely losing my "faith." So yes I'm with you on this one.
He opens up with basically asking himself why he still eats pork and makes unhealthy habits. God has laid out his plan about pork. Yet he can see what is written on the page. Hahahaha so true! We are not supposed to eat pork according to gods law.
People who are not in covenant with god word are experiencing bad things and now we use that as a confusing thing. OMG! The stupidly to listen to this version of Christianity.
@@NorthPointAtlanta Helpful! I doubt it to be helpful. Sure I would educate any Pastor at North Point that is being mislead. I think Andy is way off is his rocker as do many Pastor's in the mega church circles. I am not here to convince you to believe in the real truth about our bible. I think I am pointing out the ignorance of this theology from reality. Seems as thou dispensationalism and the Greek version/translation of bible is what is preached. So wrong and misleading.
M J I’m interested in why you would think Andy is off his rocker? I’m not a part of North Point but it sure seems like Andy is a straight from the Bible type of a preacher. Or is it just that all Christians are crazy? Just wondering where your stance is?
So sorry for your loss. Charles Stanley was a kind man. Enjoyed listening to his teaching and life long devotion to the Word of God
I feel like this perfectly explains “My grace is sufficient for you” 2 Cor 12:9
Another great lesson by brother Stanley. Thank you! I needed it!

Faith is the assurance of things hoped and prayed for but not seen..
Yes ... yes it is.
This was such a blessing to me, I finally understand faith which I had lost many years ago. Thank you 🙏

Faith is exactly what the scripture says. The meaning of the scripture is the scripture n we are to be faithful disciples.
How do I know what God’s promise is for my life? I know what I want but is it his promise to me?
His promise to all is “those who believe and are baptized will be saved.” Mark 16:16

I don't understand pastors becoming rich and richer off of people who have modest incomes. $200,000.00 a year. Something off here.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Angela.
