Brother and Sister. Not really unique to me. Penny was Missy in a way, the one thing Sheldon was missing in his friend group a woman and empathy. It was how he was raised & it eventually rounded him out to be a slightly better person.
Why do you think women=empathy? Besides common labeling, they are often way more calculated and logic than mens. Like someone said: dating women is shopping, dating men in at job interview (take it with a pinch of salt ;) )

But you hang out with them anyway and you learn to share your favorite stuff and laugh at dvmb shii 😂
You know I realized the other day that the reason Penny is so close to Sheldon and why their friendship is arguably the best relationship is because unlike the other guys, Sheldon is the only one who only wanted to be her friend. Raj, Howard and even leonard all only pursued friendships with her because they thought it would be their best chance at getting something more, which is why none of their relationships with Penny blossomed the way hers and Sheldon's did, who treated her exactly as he would anyone else and only wanted to be a friend.
Or its the same reason why women especialy popular actresses feel safe around Gay people in real life.. (not sounding offensive but just sharing what I learnt).. So that equation is found among Penny-Sheldon.
I mean...it helps that Sheldon is practically asexual...and that the actor is homosexual. That said, I don't much care one way or the other.
