- Join me in creating my new home puja mandir! Keeping a Hindu altar at home has always been important to me. When I lived in Philly I had a lot of space and had a nice table. Once I moved to NYC the space is smaller so I had been using a shelf. Over the years I wanted a home mandir that looks like a proper Hindu shrine with decorations and doors! Now I finally have one. This home altar is not finished yet but this is definitely a huge step forward in creating a sacred space that is also efficient for storing my puja supplies.

The new one is nice and many people have this type of mandir which they can cover... But personally I like the the earlier one... Personally I like it to be open ....

Every hindu home has a pooja room. I am talking about Kerala. But Hinduism is not to be confined to such idol, dualistic, mithical things. It is in essence
ADVAITHA, and ADVAITHA alone.
The ten ancient Upanishads tell nothing
else, but Advaitha, which is the core of
SANATHANA DHARMA.
Read the story of Svethakethu and also the chapter of Sathyakama in Chhandogya upanishad.
HINDUISM IS ALL ADVAITHA.
