  • Grading the road with TRIMBLE EARTHWORKS GPS
    In this video I am grading the road with help of my Trimble earthworks gps system.
    after I'm done with grading the road workers can start laying the bricks on the road.
    With this Trimble earthworks gps system there is no more need for an road worker with an laser.
    Hope u enjoyed my video.

    Hey there buddy I have been an opp for about 15years but yet to use this system. How easily did you become used to it and i take it the screen is in good eye line so that you can half keep an eye on what the bucket is doing and what the screen is telling you what the level is?

      @@BobBerkhout1 can you upload a map of the site then and work off it like a drawing? or is it just fancy laser level 😂

      @@Luke-kt2wl its very well rounded, u can work of a desing(map) and u can make a simple map yourself, also u can measure in point of what u have made so u can find it back later or make a 3d drawing of where what is.

    Make it easier every say 8 foot take it down to right level on the timble then slew left and right! Now You have your perfect level you can do the rest by eye so you dont have to keep looking at timble! Would act like level pads

    Hi,
    For gps grading like you’re doing, the right height depend on the bucket position right? If you have your bucket on the blade you will have a different information about the good height as if you have your bucket in the flat position right ? Thanks, good work :)

      hi ludo, no its doesn't matter, if your grading on the blade or back of the bucket makes no differences, the gps system automatically calculates the portion of the bucket

    Why is the centre measurement so different? Isn’t that the middle of your bucket?

    • @BobBerkhout1
      @BobBerkhout1  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Dominic, the centre measurenent is called NAP.
      its a height or measurement that always stay the same thru out the country.
      Everybody uses this height to build off!

    so with gps will it not let you to deep ? like manually

    • @BobBerkhout1
      @BobBerkhout1  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Eggy, its still manually, the gps system replaces the road worker with a laser,

    Where are the barriers protecting the public from the works??!!!! Jeez, that would never be allowed here in Scotland. Nice equipment though!

      no need for them here in holland, we only use lightweight fences. glad I don't live in Scotland then. to much of a hassle for me
