Hi Nancy- my name is also Nancy and I had total reversal shoulder replacement 5/17. I began PT and knitting after two weeks and PT is really difficult and painful but the knitting has restored my sanity. I’ve had my sling 7 weeks because of infection😢 so I’m hoping to lose it on Wednesday after seeing the Doctor. Hang in there-
    You are not alone!

I live in Australia and found on the net Junction Fibre Mill, White River Junction, Vermont. They have a regular podcast. And make the most amazing dyed and natural coloured yarn from local sheep. Agree with your recommendations. I can't understand why people are so fearful of Ravelry and using it. Its such a great tool. It has expanded knowledge and opened up the whole world to see what new styles, creations exist. Nancy rest up and dont overdo things. Im bad for not documenting my body measurements. Trying to pin down hubby to help measure where I thought he would willingly be "handy"😉

      Thanks for watching.

An addition measurement that is helpful is, bust front from underarm to underarm, bust back from the same place. this should add up to full bust measurement. But it makes a difference if you are knitting a garment with set in sleeves.

I hope you continue to heal. You are a brave soul, but if the surgery really makes it better cheers on you. My husband needs a shoulder replacement. I have not made up my mind its the best option but its not my body. He had both knees done as partial replacements and he did them three weeks apart and is doing great. He’s ready to do his shoulder now. I wonder if you wouldn’t mind letting me know if you’d do it over again or not? Thanks so much. Be well.
    😊 Trudy

Yes, absolutely. Getting better every day. But really depends on how intolerable it is before. Mine wasn't functional.
      Good luck with the decision.

You look amazing despite surgery that I’ve heard is a bear. Good luck with your continued recovery! Re Ravelry - another great aspect - most knitting books one purchases will give you a code to put the patterns in your Ravelry library. As I use Knit Companion this is great. Also when there are updates to any pattern purchased you’ll be notified. I’m always suspicious of free patterns unless it’s an established designer - to add to your advice re designs with no projects.

Do you have a link to the document you shared at minute 12 on Taking Measurements? I’ve never thought to do that and keep them in one place, such a time saver and great idea! Love your videos and glad to hear you are on the mend, Nancy.

There are many sources online. The one I found was ysolda.com/blogs/journal/choosing-a-size
But there are others as well as many UA-cam videos.
      Have fun.

I love the pairing of the Issuer 2 in Wine and the Spin Cycle (can't remember the name of the colorway) however I would really like to use it foe the Drawing Sweater, as a substitute for the Natura Ulyse. Would that work?

The Isager Alpaca 2 may be too thin (it's a fingering weight). Always get gauge of course!

Hi, Nancy. Just found your site. A multi-color sweater/cable sweater was held up by Robin. What's the name of the pattern? Beautiful.
