This is super helpful, would love to see a video covering the steps to change a normal wedding to a micro one/downsizing because of the pandemic, swear I can't find a full list online anywhere, lots of videos discussing it as an option and briefly covering downsizing but none fully breaking down what to keep, what to cancel, what to do after the ceremony, how to still make it feel special etc and I'm so stressed I'll forget about something 😬
This is hard because it depends on the regulations where you are and what is permitted. If everything was allowed to go ahead as normal, but with smaller numbers, there is no change except for quantity of everything as I mentioned in this video. ❤️😘
We are having a micro wedding because our son is autistic and doesnt deal well with lots of people but hes our junior best man (he will be 11 when we marry) Im not super confident and the thought of walking down the aisle in front of loads of people makes me ill and not want to get married! However my partner has a large family so we needed to comprimise we are having our micro wedding at a lovely venue with 26 people including bride and groom then the evening reception will be held at our local social club where we feel more comfortable and relaxed and theres space for our son to have a quiet space to be away from all the people and we can invite all the family and friends have the dj kareoke and a lovely big buffet The biggest problem i had with this initially was lots of venues would allow this but only mon-thurs and i wanted to get married 9th june as it was my Nannas birthday who is no longer with us! However we reworked it and found an independent venue who can offer us an alternative to the main wedding space we even have our own private balcony & terrace as well as outside space getting married indoors as we live in the north east we seldom see dry warm days 😂 so you can do half and half if your prepared to comprimise and think outside the box 😀 Your videos are really focusing me Lauren its needed 😀
Almost everyone in my family had roughly 50 guests at their weddings, my cousin had the biggest wedding out of the lot with 55 people, and I plan to do the same when my day comes. Huge 200 guest weddings always looked so magical to me until I realised I don't even know or like 20 people nevermind 200😄
Just found you recently and love your videos.. I want a micro wedding and my fiance wants an all singing all dancing wedding! I want intimate he wants over the top! You'd think it would be the other way round haha x
I really want a micro wedding- thank you for this!!! Would love it to be intimate with everyone I actually know. N amazing budget wise- wouldn’t want to go into debt over ONE DAY lol
We are doing a micro wedding by choice. We just wanted to celebrate with those closest to us. It is hard to pick and chose who to invite thou when it comes to friends and some of his family that lives 10 hours away. However, I have been able to save $!
I was supposed to get married last august but postponed to august this year. I’m in Toronto and we’re also in a full blown lockdown, I’m planning a micro wedding as a plan B so I can finally get married this year and host a huge party next year at my original venue 🥳 I was really looking forward to dancing and partying with my friends but reality is that likely won’t happen this year either lol
im planning a wedding for September 2022 and not even sure if i should do micro or the full shebangs. 🤔 too many uncertainties. planning to do it in Muskoka :)
Micro weddings all the way :) no point inviting alot of people for the sake of it. At a time like this you will discover the people who are truly there for you. 《《♡》》
So where are you sitting? Micro or the full shabang? xx
Going Micro :D
I like the idea of having a micro!

Sounds like a great plan to me! Best of both worlds and means you can continue your life story and not be on pause ❤️

@@beaannemariepaet1569 let’s hope by September next year this virus is gone 😂 I’d do the whole damn thing 🤩
I was told by a venue, that they had a minimum request for 100 persons. I need one for 50 hehe.

Scaling down the guest list is the issue 😅
