I filmed it with a Canon 7D, Nikon 50mm1.2
I can't help myself, i keep coming back to this brilliant recording..

10 years ago! Hello from 2021. Would have killed to see Future Islands in a small, intimate venue. Saw them this week and they absolutely sleighed.
Great band. Just came into my life. And at the right time. I can't get enough of them. Sam sings the words of how I feel in majority of their songs. What a rollercoaster ride. Lol. I'm obsessed with him getting.

I saw them in munich a few days a go. A small concert, maybe 100 people. I think this was one of the best live concert I have ever seen. Everybody stood there and was totally flashed by the energy of the lead singer, Sam. Fuck, are they good!

Thank you for posting that.. I had been looking for a live recording for this song. While Long Flight may be the best video they have online (if you haven't seen it, please do), this one is a close second. It is an overall better, more complex and poetic song. The incredible thing is that they are able to almost exactly do the song as if it were on the album.. surely a testament to how hard they work. I wish I was there for this show to see it so intimately. It's funny to see him "put himself in that place" prior to starting a song.

Yeah, nice observation, I wanted to do an experimental hybrid, live/music video, and since their recorded music has such a live sounding quality to it, I thought it worked out well. They also use a drum track when they perform live, so it was relatively easy to match up.
The sound seems to be the sound of the studio recording, mixed with the sound of the concert at the beginning and end.
But really amazing video to this great great song!!
