Yeah, here in southeast Kentucky we are making ready for a storm. Lots of rain ending with ice/snow/who knows. I built a new hay feeder yesterday that takes up less room, holds more hay, and (hopefully) waists less hay. Hung a new tarp over the the goat barn door, cleaned their heated bucket, and loaded up the hay feeder. Generator was good from the last storm, but probably should top off the gas tank. Already have things on hand that are easy warm up meals, and have been bringing wood in and putting on the porch. Yup, we're ready for whatever happens.
Im in central texas and went to grocery ystdy not really knowing about the winter weather because we are right on the edge of it and usually when cold air moves in it pushes out clouds and we never ger both cold and precip, except for last year. Anyways, it was crazy busy, ive never seen it so crazy busy! So i hope you can find what you are goung for and a parking spot!
Glad to see that you are prepared with plenty of food and fuel! Yes, cast iron skillets are wonderful to have around!
I love my cast iron it’s the main thing I use.

If I lived more north I would want a wood stove that I could cook on.
