You can tell her life was never the same after the tragic death of her young son in 2020. I was looking back at her old social media posts and she completely stopped posting and said something like she has ‘nothing to share anymore’ after he died. The only posts she made are when the Elvis film came out late last year. I can’t imagine that pain. I am just happy she was able to see the Elvis film before she passed.
Most people in show biz are quite lonely and depressed but put on a happy face for the world

My mother 1 month before she passed away, asked me if I was bringing my daughter to NYC for Christmas. I said no, it was expensive, then she yelled at me, saying no. She has to come here this Christmas! I made it happen. 4 days after my daughter left for Texas, my mom died. It was the hardest thing in my life to make that phone call to my daughter.
I tell this story, because I feel my mom knew she was going to pass away.
I'm so sorry I know it's not the same but my grandmother and my grandfather both held on until I came to visit them after years away and Houston because it was expensive for me to fly back. As soon as I flew back to you sooner I was told they passed it was surreal

The poor girl. She went through so much recently. The loss of her beloved son, the creepy ex-husband #4 with their ongoing custody battle. She has openly discussed her depression since her boy's suicide. I believe she died from a broken heart. What an awful, sad time for her girls, her mother, her half brother, her ex-Danny. It's clear the lady is under the influence of drugs. Parents, sons, daughters etc. die everyday - nobody has been promised an extra minute, hour, day, week etc etc. Some grieve longer than others but falling over the hilltop with opiods is not the answer.

She suffered for years with chronic spine pain. Her mom and Riley filled in for her when she couldn't deal with it. My heart goes out to her and her family..she is singing with angels now
Severe back pain just like her dad. Elvis was in a great deal of pain with his back in the last few years. Larry Gellar said Elvis had suffered two back injuries both of which caused severe pain.
Not to mention his agonizing digestion issues (excruciating according to Charlie Hodge) that he was hospitalized for at least three times, and something Elvis shared with only a very small few special people in his life (about his pain and physical ailments)--- and according to Charlie the digestive disease was hereditary but doctors also say it was caused by years and years of sleeping pill addiction because of lifelong insomnia---and always the need to increase the dosage after building up a tolerance over the years. It essentially shuts down the digestive system over time. Not to mention, when dosage is that high, one essentially needs some kind of upper to just wake the body up. They also lead to high blood pressure and heart issues. Elvis had all of the above; severe and very painful glaucoma too--according to Charlie. RIP Lisa Marie. Life was painful for her to say the least...but I do believe that she experienced joy and even peace in her last months.
I remember hearing stuff that Lisa Marie Presley was a witness to Elvis death when she was a child. This really killed her in same way her grief on her son's death got her. But in Lisa Marie's case she's dragged into the shadows of Elvis and the pressures of keeping Elvis alive really got her.

This is heartbreaking - she looks like she was in so much pain. Broken Heart Syndrome is a real thing - people in profound grief can suffer real heart effects. My heart goes out to her family who now have this double tragedy.

Broken heart from losing her son. In her own words, "You never get over it, you never move on." I lost my 22 yr old 2 days before she lost her son. I developed an irregular heartbeat after my daughter died, and have to see a Cardiologist now. The death of a child is the most traumatic you will ever experience. Pray you never do. I wanted to die. In sure she did too, although she held on for as long as she could. Grief kills.

I totally agree... You have to bury your children before you know how to cope... No One knows the struggle we go through we go through day after day...I know how you feel, I have been in your shoes, Not with one, but 2 grandsons from a house fire , from an electric blanket that I was raising , shared a room together in Nov 5th 2002... A daughter in 2017 from a drug overdose, My husband of 35 years from a stroke in 2003,, The stroke doctors said my husband died of a broken heart that caused the stroke... I often wonder about my grandsons that was 18 and 7 years old what they would look like today 1/15/23...

I absolutely agree with you. But remember Elvis grew up dirt poor. Poverty brings all the issues associated with that as well. I think the best thing in life is to not be poor and not be too wealthy.

She really appeared unwell. I had a 90% blockage, what they call the widow maker. I really did not feel well and was unsteady and light headed. I was not on drugs in any way shape or form. I thank God I was fortunate enough the doctors found it before it was too late. God grant peace and love to her family ❤️❤️
I just had the same thing - but had a heart attack on Dec 19th. I’m lucky I got to the cath lab in time for them to help me. Please take care of yourself.

I am 34 and I had a heart attack the first week of december.i had to get a stent put in because I had a 90% blockage and a blood clot removed

You are right. My thought is she died from a broken heart. Losing a child is the worse pain, but losing one to suicide has to compound that pain 10 times.

She has been struggling ever since her son's suicide and as a mother of 4 I couldn't begin to comprehend the pain of losing a child especially to suicide... It was also clear after Elvis's autopsy they said his heart was enlarged albeit from yrs of drug addiction and yrs of opioid abuse causes the digestive system to slow and backup until eventually shutting everything down. Sadly ppl hop on social media and immediately start with the assumption that drugs must have lead to her death when in fact NO ONE KNOWS anything until an autopsy is done and honestly at the Golden Globe's she looked pale and winded and I myself am suffering and battling severe anemia due to internal stomach bleeding from a previous surgery where I had abused Goody Powders (which is basically crushed aspirin) for yrs eventually eating a hole in my stomach and colon and having to have a clamp to seal my colon and I've been having issues related to the clamp slipping and causing internal bleeding so I've been in ICU five X's this yr and each time needing blood transfusions and surgery to stop the stomach bleeding.. To me she just looked liked she possibly may have been dealing with anemia which would explain her looking pale and being outta breath walking up those stairs to be interviewed and grabbing onto Jerry Shilling for support while standing so it's just sad that ppl automatically assume the worst and for all we know she could've been sick from anemia or possibly heart disease she didn't even know she had..

She lived with her Dad at Graceland full-time several months out of the year, until his death. They were extremely close right up to the end. She was even at Graceland when he died. Losing a father at 9, and then losing a son is more than most could endure in life! She carried on for her remaining children I believe. I believe that Austin gave her joy in these last months--she was so grateful for his incredible performance that honored her father in such a beautiful way. They had a loving close bond because of it. I believe she had a peaceful heart in her last months. Seeing her and Austin laughing together was so beautiful and heartwarming, because many said she hadn't really smiled since her son died.
Lisa Marie said that her son Benjamin resembled her father so much,not only by his looks, but by the way he talked and acted,so when she had Benjamin, I guess it was like she had a bit of her father back. But when Benjamin died I think it was extremely painful for Lisa Marie because not only did her son die, but her son was also the only person that both resembled her beloved father as well as he had her fathers genes.

Opioid abuse is terribly hard on your heart. She may have sustained some damage over years of drug abuse. Very sad news. RIP.
There is also a pattern of premature heart failure in the family. Elvis died at 42 and her grandmother died from cardiac arrhythmia at 46.
That's not to discount past drug use playing a role, just nothing that family history shows a clear pattern.

I agree. I read somewhere that she was 6 times in a rehab. She had massive problems with cocaine. You hardly see an older drug addict, most did young. I know cases where people were drug addicts and they died because of heart attacks around the same age as Lisa Marie.

The reason I'm commenting on this is I have serious heart issues. I have had them since 1999. My heart symptoms were not chest pain, shortness of breath or any of the normal symptoms. It was just a plain old upset stomach. I thought I had a stomach virus. My nephew who was an EMT at the time said my heart wasn't beating right so they took me to the hospital and the rest is history. TMZ reported on Thursday that Lisa Marie Presley was dealing with stomach pain the day of the Golden Globe Award show. Of course, I don't know if that was a coincidence or not but please be aware that sometimes women do not have your typical heart symptoms. In my case it was just an upset stomach. I am so sad that she has passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. 🙏

She wasn't well because she was probably high or drunk. Why do some of you think you're breaking down what happened because some people saw that she didn't look well shortly before she died? Usually people don't look too well before they die for a number of reasons. Either because they are sick or their life is spiraling out of control.

Why in the world would you say that you believe she KNEW she was actually dying? Nobody in her orbit so to speak seems to have been prepared for this. Even said to myself, "oh, wow I wonder what's the matter with Lisa, she doesn't look good." Then to find out she died on Thursday it really is sad. She was quite young. Watched the Elvis movie tonight and it successfully honors her dad. Glad she got to see it before she passed. RIP beautiful Lisa Marie. 🌹

I don't think that she ever recovered from the loss of her son. I've listened to many interviews and she seemed an amazingly modest,well adjusted and 'normal' person given her extraordinary background.

As the biggest Michael Jackson fan, I was literally quoting Lisa Marie last week on one of his videos. I was quoting the way she talked about Michael in her 2010 Oprah interview. She talked about how she had this “intoxication” during the highs of their relationship and how she had never felt that high in her life than being with him. She also talked about how Michael fell into the trap of opioids and how she wished she could’ve saved him. Here we are now and it appears she has passed away the same way living only 4 years longer than he did. My heart is broken. I have chills everywhere.

She obviously looked like she didn’t feel well but that doesn’t mean to me she was on drugs. Having had cancer in past years you do what is necessary regardless of what is before you. She had to be there at the Golden Globe Awards despite how she was feeling. That’s hard & very sad. She stayed true to her father’s legacy right to the very end of her life. I find that very admirable!! I’m also very sad for her. I can’t begin to imagine the emotional pain she endured when her son passed. I think that alone is enough to send you into a bad place emotionally. I think in this situation EVERYONE should show more compassion & not try to drag her name & situation through the mud. She seemed very candid in past interviews & that is rare in her status. I admired her for that. Please let’s be respectful to her. My heart is very sad for the situation she was in & to her family. I’ve never been star struck but her death has impacted me. I truly hope she was surrounded by unconditional love in her past few days. She definitely deserved that. Rest peacefully Lisa Marie! 💝
Cardiac Arrest is caused by a severe blockage.. Until her mother releases the information to the public.. people will speculate drugs. ..idle gossip. Second her mother may never reveal the cause of death. Third women over 40 -60 are susceptible to Cardio issues.. Smoking cigarettes, eating Meat Cheese Fried foods..can damage valves. ... regardless her passing is heartbreaking. 😢🌹🌹🌹🙏

I still wonder if she might have been self-medicating. I hope that an autopsy will reveal the truth. Clearly you can see something was wrong at The Golden Globes. Whatever happened and for whatever reason Just from what her half brother said alone the family didn't seem to have been prepared for this. Regardless, the bottom line is 3 children do not have a mother and Priscilla now knows what her daughter was going through because she's burying her. I'm concerned about all of them because anyone who loses 3 immediate family members in 3 years is enduring a lot.

I don’t know why nobody will say this out loud. But I can’t take it anymore. I love Lisa Marie but she was high as a kite and more than likely died of an overdose. Overdose causes cardiac arrest so that’s not a lie.

Could be the culmination of the stress at the loss of Benjamin to suicide. How does one recover from that? I have no children, not even a dog, & as a human, I understand pain, I cannot imagine how a parent deals with the trauma of such a tragedy. Losing a dog I know can be difficult, much more a child you carried in your gut, birthed into the world & loved. My heart goes out to this family…😢 I am so glad I have Jesus who I lean on in times of distress…🇨🇦

The pain is indescribable. I am Lisa Marie’s age and I, too, lost my son. He was only 18 yrs old. I wanted to die so I could be with him again. My heart was shattered into a million pieces. I’m surprised I am still standing. It’s only been a year and a half since my son passed away and it feels like yesterday. Time does NOT heal. You just learn to live with that deep pain in your heart and pray you can get through each day without breaking down (crying). You mourn your own loss as a Mother. Plus, your mourn the loss of your child. What they missed out on. What they never got to see and do. Then your mourn for their sibling(s) that were left behind and don’t have a brother anymore. It never goes away…💔

My aunt had the exact same energy level and needed help to stand up firmly. Luckily my aunt called 9-11 to pick her up. Most her arteries were blocked and thanks to modern medicine, she survived a quadruple heart surgery. I took heed and checked my heart turned out I had a leaky valve which can be reversed by eating clean and exercise. Please check your heart. THX
Katherine, a leaky heart valve can not be reversed by "eating clean and exercise" and, depending on the particular valve, most of them can be ignored. But the only way, as of today, to fix it is by surgery. Don't believe the quacks that lie about it otherwise.

Sorry to not mind my business, but I think you should get a second opinion as well. Obviously we are missing a lot of that conversation but If a valve leaks, it's a functional or 'mechanical' issue within the valve or the tissues supporting it. You might have very mild regurgitation with no symptoms, in which case your doctor was trying to say "fine for now but be careful with your health". Keeping your blood pressure relatively normal is important so the leak doesn't get worse. But overall diet and exercise will not "reverse" valve dysfunction, especially if you're already young with somewhat normal weight and blood pressure.
Lisa Marie has suffered several health scares over the years and had bravely opened up in a book detailing her addiction and the dangers of opioids. She has long experienced back pain that was exasperated following the birth of her twin daughters. At the time, a doctor prescribed her opioids for the pain but that appears to be what motivated her recent struggles. As a result, she was in and out of treatment approx. five times. Lisa Marie is quoted as saying," It only took a short-term prescription of opioids in the hospital for me to feel the need to keep taking them."
Sadly, she then lost her son to suicide in 2020. Lisa Marie She definitely did not appear to be herself The evening of the Golden Globes she did appear unwell and though a guess, her cardiac arrest may have been motivated by a possible opioid overdose. Currently, the U.S. opioid epidemic and related opioid use disorder are significant causes of cardiac arrest and death among adults ages 25 to 64.
It’s obvious that the loss of her son has taken a toll on her and now her life. It broke her heart to the point it could no longer beat. We will miss her. Now she is with her daddy and her son.❤RIP

Jerry Schilling wasn't just a "friend," he was and is one of the original Memphis Mafia, and I believe he was the youngest member of said group. He is one of the last surviving members if not the last one. He is now 80 years old. He has written books about his time with Elvis.

Weak hearts seem to run in her family. Remember, her dad died at 42....but most people don't realize that her grandmother (Elvis's mom) died at 46 of heart problems as well. Drug abuse and the stress of losing a son to suicide was probably very hard on her heart. RIP.

Broken Heart Syndrome is a real thing. Often it can have a cumulative effect. I imagine that she had a heart attack some time before she suffered a cardiac arrest. I'm very saddened by all of this. Argo, a DJ on the Sirius/XM station Elvis Radio could barely keep it together while reading the Presley Family statement. Then I got choked up when they played the duet with Lisa Marie and Elvis singing "Never Walk Alone". I just pray she's reunited with her Dad and son as well as her daughters, mother Priscilla and yes, Austin Butler and Jerry Schilling.
Lisa maries paternal grandma died of caridiac arrest some say cardiomyopathy - hereditary - all lisas grandmas brothers died young of same thing then elvis and now lisa - these heart conditions need to be taken seriously in ALL families by medics. Very sad such a likeable, lovely talented girl who had a lot to deal with been elvis preselys daughter and to lose her lovely boy too young just all so tragic.
So does the shot that we are being forced to take.. it hurts people who are already compromised with heart issues.. I saw an Instagram post where she didn’t want the shot terrified.. but she couldn’t go anywhere or be with friends without it.. this is the real tragedy.. 🥲🥲🥲
