I love that guy man..
Him, Christopher Lloyd and Rick Moranis were my favorite actors as a child.
The man can act. Watch Very Bad Things. His performace was brilliant.
Oh shit I forgot about very bad things that movie kicks so much ass
@@WIld-cHILd-1273 haha, it sure did!
"Harry, I've reached the top!!" "Will ya shut up Marve!" I couldn't imagine any other actors being the wet sticky bandits we were blessed with. These two dudes were legendary throughout every scene in both Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
Now that I look back and think about it, Bushwacked is what the 90's really felt like. Camping, wild adventures, talking trash and having a comeback instead of crying, getting hurt and laughing it off, figuring out solutions instead of shaking in place thinking a miracle will happen. Loved that movie and Stern was perfect for the main character, just his look alone is sketchy but loveable. Had no idea he voiced adult Kevin in Wonder years, makes the movie Little Monsters more interesting and that both Savage brothers were also in it.
Seem humble…glad he still around!!
The dynamic movement in his sculptures is fantastic, I had no idea he could do that.
Bushwhacked has always been my favorite movie from his catalog, although, there’s a lot I haven’t seen.
Thanks for your research. I’ve added a few of his movies to my watch list!
only ever seen bushwacked an home alones with stern sucks he never did many movies sadly
Bro i just rediscovered bushwached like 8 years ago I've watched it maybe 100 times snice what a classic
I think it's probably reasonable to call Daniel Stern an underrated actor. Impressive career working with some of the best people in the industry, and most people will probably only know him as the Home Alone guy. I loved the Wonder Years for many years and had no idea it was him in that! Mindblowing.
He's so Hilarious!!
Bushwhacked was underrated af
it really was daniel stern is really good in them kind of roles
He had the greatest scream. Lol
was on rosie o donnel as a kid and he was one of the guests. sweetest man ever. we were on there to tell jokes we made up and he told me mine was the funniest joke out of them all (he said that to all of us i was too young to notice that though)
Not true about about Home Alone, he turned the role down as he wanted the same money as Joe. Some other guy got cast in the role but he pulled out last minute and then they offered Daniel the role again with the same money so he accepted.
Thank goodness he stuck with this one imagine what homealone would have been without him
@@bsfishing7073I'd rather not imagine that. Lol.
Dan roebuck was the dude
A Stupa:
My Mind:
SHTUP... SHTUPA.. IT LOOKS LIKE DONG
The good old days when you can drop out of highschool and still live the American dream 😢
man I remember watching breaking away as a kid, maybe 6, on television. I can still remember almost everything about it but havent seen it since then and didn't know what it was called until I watch this at almost 40 years old. That's how good it must be and I gotta watch it again
I didnnt even know that Daniel Stern is so actively involved in movies.
All time favorite Blue Thunder and both City Slicker films
Legend
Marv was very funny🤣🤣🤣
One of his best movies was Diner
Blue thunder. See him super young.
Thanks for your research on Daniel Stern! 📝🤓 I had no idea that his (mainstream) acting career spanned decades before Home Alone or how heavily he was involved in iconic voiceovers for tv shows like The Wonder Years. I always saw him as the guy who got his breakout role as Marv then slowly fell off cause he was typecasted, but his trajectory at such a young age, long before the 90's is impressive! Hopefully he was smart with his funds.
Aparently he was
he is worth over 20 million so yea
Apart from who he support in the political world he is a true genuine guy and I will always be heartbroken that we never got a new homealone movie
Bushwacked was one of my favorite movies 😂😂
I remember him from The Wonder Years.
"Harry! I'm coming in!"
Said that mostly when they were locked up 😆
Besides the two Home Alones, i love his work in Blue Thunder n C.H.U.D.
He looks like Robert Englund now that he's older.
Awesome video no true
I absolutely loved him and home alone I had no idea he was so talented and starred in so many movies before home alone. Yeah I never known of who he was and God man can do sculptures very talented sounds like a really super nice guy I mean married for 40 years never got divorced kids he's all around good guy I like him it's something about his acting style I like I always loved him in home alone.
Through me off a little when they mentioned my home town of Camarillo, haha
He was perfect in home alone wish he did more movies loved him as the voice over in wonder years if you haven't seen coupe de ville do yourself a favour it's an absolute classic he's been in some of the best movies ever made I put him up there with Jim cazale and Al Pacino he's highly underrated I reckon he deserves a lifetime achievement award he should be a household name an American treasure I still remember him in bushwhacked childhood favourite thanks for the movies and memories Daniel stern!
His name means star and I think he is amazing being a moon
Daniel is pretty insane. I wouldn’t put too much stock in what he says.
He made a feature in the hilarious show "Love" on Netflix
He turned into the sticky bandit in home alone 2. Question answered.
Whatttt Daniel Stern with new House
Hes been singing for brooks and dunn
stern in for all mankind as eli Hobson a lee iacocca type character
Looked like Michael cerra when he was younger
He appears to have been so well known for besides “Marv Merchants “ with “Joe Pesci “ in “home alone and home alone 2”, like “little monsters “ and “city slickers “ and “bushwhacked “ he was a lot younger back in the day and his salary got him so much when he was younger, and then “net worth of $20,000,000.00” and another home in Maryland and having made a net worth of that much, he could actually do so much with both Malibu California and Maryland homes.
eyyyyyyy JAFO ! Hope your doing good :)
was city slickers 2 mentioned? I don't remember seeing it in there.
Movie maestro huh? You mean the "movie maestro" who married his daughter? But I always say, "there's a thin line between genius and madman". And Home Alone is my all time favorite Christmas movie.
Fun fact the only movie I was ever aware of one thing that he ever done was home alone honestly I didn't know the guy did anything else other than that
He also did home alone 2.
Fun fact: tRump lost the election
And you just don't hear anything about all these great things he did and you only just wonder why he didn't get the accolades he close to deserved
he ended up in the latest series of For all Mankind.
The $8,000 Daniel got for his first film role in 1980 is about $31,000 now.
These seems ai generated
Nobody has mentioned his role in Cabin Boy
Unfortunately the Wet Bandits are retired
Eaten in “C.H.U.D.” and Voice of “The Wonder Years” and voice of “Dilbert”
His choice but legendary Stern gives up Malibu for Maryland?.
He still one of my favs "bad guys" ever , i mean , im afraid to watch more about him cos im afraid to change te view of my childhood merories , it happened before with other actresses like Sarah Michelle Gellar, hard to explain but i guess the best way to say it is more like: im afraid to change the picture i have in my mind of that person that when i was a kid really gave me a good time laughing with family or friends! hes still one of the not many i really didnt watch more after home alone! i know its a bit a silly , but as a spiritual person i am, in days like todays ,hard time ,money crisis all over the globe(not sure about that but in many places we have bad and corrupted politicians and its people like us paying because of them...sorry for the quick off topic). i rather live with my childhood memories because it feels like memories its the core of life, or the core of energy that we take from...something that we need!!
BUT....after all....i WANTED to thank you for opening my eyes with this one!!! seriouly thanks man, u truly unlocked me a lot !!
Happy new year to you and to every reader or watcher ;)
He works for NASA now
Well, didn't the *Marv* character end up in prison after home alone 2 in new york? That answers the question..
my god I thought he dropped off the face of the earth after home alone 2..
Didn't Kevin hit him with a frying pan and iron in home alone.
Uhm, he was already a star in the 80's... Home Alone wasn't his first big movie you know...
Can you please do how Kate Winslet lives??
.... I legit had no idea. I really only knew him from hoe alone and bushwhacked.
No one in this video has a head. Who edited this? Helen keller?
I only watched Home Alone OG dilogy and remember Daniel Stern from that. And that's it, I didn't watched anything else of his work. And after watching this video I can say that I did a right thing because, for me only his role as Marv in Home Alone is great. Everything else, again in my opinion, is too boring or too simple. And when it comes to watching movies, I prefer more action movies or power fantasy movies. Thus why I don't want to watch his other work. Because it's too simple and for the most part are too realistic, and in my opinion any kind of entertainment is escapeism. It should allow you to escape from rough real world in to some kind of fantasy world to relax and had fun, and original Home Alone movies does just that. But like I said, anything else of his work is just too realistic and thus why I don't want to watch it and I don't like it by just looking at footage from it. Thus at the end Daniel Stern will always remain as Marv from Home Alone movies for me.
But what about his co-star is Joe Pesci still alive.
You could have typed less into Google asking “is Joe Pesci still alive?”
was my bosses wife remade a year later with Michael j fox and named the secret od my success?
Pro Palestine viewers when the word Jewish was mentioned 🤬
90% of this is unrelated video clips dude...why not do a podcast this sucks as a video.
God I hate this movie!! Way to much of it!!! OVERLOAD, OVERLOAD, OVERLOAD!!!!!
