The tree guy is a professional BadAss!
It was incredible to see the big tree fall down! And at the same time a bit sad… 😔
COOLEST TREE SURGEON!! Yay NICK🐝Ontario Canada
@@beverley1539 And love how he talks Ottawa Canada here
What a highly skilled professional tree man he is! Very impressive, indeed! 👏👏👏
The transformation of the Chateau in the last year is breathe taking!
It certainly is! It’s so rewarding to see!
So cool... this business model. And so natural with Stephanie and Co. A novel method of progress! Wow.
We are all watching history in the making. For God's sake somebody record it on paper.
Nothing like this has EVER been attempted before! I am ecstatic to say the least. I just hope I can keep up with this stuff.
There are no comprehensive books on this kind of business acumen yet! :0/ I guess everything is still being sorted out... god, I hope the business guys don't miss this or somehow make sense of it later on like they did with other models.
Maybe someone can write a book or something :0/ Its worrying and exciting at the same time!
The tree surgeon and his son are rock stars !
My goodness that chandelier and the lounge chair bathed in the evening sun was breathtaking! Imagine what it is going to look like when the room is finished!
Cat is such an amazing singer, what a lovely voice, wow
Wish that segment was longer
@Carol Alex What is the name of the song?
It's called Beauty lives in me.
@@sheilaghk6350 Thanks Shelagh, but I looked up Beauty Lives in Me by Johannes Bornlöf feat. Jennifer Holm. It didn't sound like that. Do you know who sings it?
@@sylviemacfarland8503 Sylvie it's the one on UA-cam with the black and white butterfly when you search for Beauty lives in me.
The setting sun threw golden rays,
a gentle breeze caressed the face.
The sound of laughter stayed behind,
rejoicing in some antique find.
The fragrance of a meal cooked well,
the cracking of a tree that fell.
These memories linger and enchant,
for they spell out Chateau Lalande.
Wow poetry!
That's beautiful! ❤
I love that❣️
That is so lovely🌈😊
Perfectly lovely
I think Cat is missing her calling of doing standup comedy. She really has what it takes and I am sure some many people watching this know that.
Imagine having beautiful Kirstie appear from the garden with lovely, fresh vegetables every afternoon! What a wonderful treat!!
So true ✨Kirstie is adorable🥰
Marie! Ha ha!! “Absolutely horrifying!” That would have been my response as well! Love her! 💖
It’s good to see Selmar… miss his presence in your videos!
A good drinking game would be every time Phillip says “Right?!” Or Stephanie “absolutely stunning”
I’m with Phillip-making the right knife for the right cheese easy to see is brilliant
Fabulous to see all the joy, fun and happy friends at the chateau. Cat is a breath of fresh air. Philip and Cat have a super sense of humour, loved the chunky herbs with cheeseboard and a the knives plunged into the cheese was epic 👌 Too much perfection can ruin a spontaneous moment.
I adore Philip's desk and I think it's unisex🤗! All so exciting to see such stunning furniture arrive and the Morano chandelier is superb. My gosh, what cooks you all are, you could convert an out building into a restaurant. I do hope you see the post regarding the flower beds ruining your chateau foundation. X
The complete Cheese platter scene, from beginning to the end death by cheese, the build up and everything in between.
Brought me back to the golden age of BBC comedy from "are you being served" to Monty phyton and from French&Saunders to Bottom, absolutley fabulous!
With The absolute elegant well timed drop of "Ornamental Leaves" 5:06 by Kat. She deserves a BAFTA for best real life comic relief action ever. Had me crying from laughter so loud the neighbour thought i was chocking.
Wow I love the bench . That tree went down so exactly . That tree surgeon is a pro for sure . So nice to see everyone so cheery . Dan is doing amazing work and Kirsty.
Stephanie literally has inspired me so much since I have been watching from the beginning really. If it wasn’t for her I would t have started a small garden or got back into sewing. She just inspired me to just go for it and see if I can’t do it myself. If I fail, then I have learned a way not to do it. Much love from sunny Florida,USA💜
That was a beautiful ending with Thor and Siv on the ledge, leaping down and walking together. I hope her eggs will hatch and nothing will disturb them.
Or was it Jillian? I thought Siv was on her nest.
So many opinions about the cheese board and yet no one suggested that the fig jam should have been put into one of Stephanie's beautiful porcelain bowls:). It is great to hear Kat's voice again, she has a wonderful sense of humor.
I love the bickering over the cheeseboard!
I thought Philip’s stabbed cheeseboard was very exciting - and clear about which knife goes with which cheese! Also loved how Kat decorated it with herbs, plop plop go the bunches as Marie shows her the delicate placement of each individual leaf.🤣🤣🤣 Too funny!
Je suis très heureux de voir nos amis Anglais apprécier la France et ses beaux châteaux , j'espère que vous passerez des moments intenses de joie et de bonheur dans notre doux pays , je vous aime aussi , un ami de France !
Seeing the Dutch person bring in the accurate cheese knives makes me very proud….🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
This 30:58 is what paradise must look like
Request: an entire video of just scenes around the chateau. That ending scene with the peacocks is magic. Would give you a little opportunity to rest, too!
The flower chandelier is my favorite thing in the chateau ! It's stunningly exquisite ! ❤
Cat is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen! She has a great sense of humor and brights up every room. She seems like such a delightful person to be around. I wish to be just as cool as her, when I grow up.
I want to be just like her, when I get younger....
She’s a star!
@@serenashaw-q3y 😂
Wow, Cat has such a wonderful voice! I couldn't believe that wasn't a cd playing; can you please capture more of Cat singing like this, with the guitar etc...wow what a nice evening on the veranda. Lots of great parts to this video, thank you!
Oh my goodness gracious!!
You are living the life!!😍🧚🏻♂️🏰✨
As a Swede I can confirm that pepparkakor and blue cheese is a thing! A glorious thing!
Incroyable! What more can be said of the Murano glass chandelier. I have to say that when Stephanie and Philip were discussing the placement of it in the loo, I cried out loudly, "No, no, no. It deserves a far grander place of honor" and, as always, you ended choosing the perfect spot. Well done. As for Nati's regal bedroom furnishings, who could help but feel like a prince or a princess sleeping in a room with Napoleon III. (I mean the furniture, of course.)
Love the peacocks and beautiful music at the end!👍❤️
Everything is always so beautiful and fun, I feel like all of you are living in some come to life romantic comedy. You and your cast of characters are an absolute Joy to watch!
What a beautiful Vlog! Thank you so much Stephanie, even though you had so much going on, you still managed to enchant us once again! ❤️
This is most likely the start of the great friendship that has blossomed between Stephanie and Vivienne. So nice....!
This vlog was so down to earth and real. Even with the exquisite antiques. The Chateau is really coming together. Family and friends all around.
You are right about UA-cam and lockdown I too hardly new it existed. Then suddenly having so much time on my hands and with the dross on tv, with lockdown I discovered I could live in Positano, sail around the world and Escape to a Chateau. Thank you and well done.
Nick the tree surgeon is worth his weight in gold. Amazing work! This vlog was just delightful from beginning to end. Full of humour and touching moments. Simply wonderful 💕
He looks like a modern day rock star pirate
@@sallystites2946 Yes! He does x
What a joyful and colourful place ,spreading happiness and beauty, to all us watchers...making their lives worth living.Thsnks from the core of my heart Stephine
The most animated lovely video. Wow what a malhoosive tree & the Master of Tree's himself being quite a wee and nimble Manny. Awesome finds, adore the chandelier magnifique.
The new chandelier in your dressing room looks like an indoor garden party all by itself, wow, so cheerful!

There is something so natural and uncontrived about your videos. It is so refreshing to see this type of content online. 🙌
I have so very much missed Kat!
She just slays me. Lol.
I just blimmin love that chandelier.... Just perfect for that room
So many beautifully, stunning moments in this video, it's almost overwhelming. It's inspired me, as a senior, to continue to fix up my humble room in a shared house.
Cat, I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have you back; you're so down to earth, real, easy, unfussy, and hilarious! Nice to have a normal human in the Lalande mix, lol.
(Shout out to my peeps Dan and Kirsti too ❤)
I agree. She is so natural on camera and down to earth.
The antiques are all beautiful (as always!) but that tree felling really deserved to be included in the vlog's title! That was truly impressive!
It is so good to see the chateau thriving again with your guests and all your helpers .I think the chandelier is the most beautiful I have ever seen x x
The chandelier brings new life to the wallpaper. It makes a lovely story in Stephanie's office a specially with the Philip part of the room.
Gingerbread, fig marmalade and aged cheese is such a treat. A midwinter classic.
If you haven't tried it, do so. Might sound weird at first, but it all goes really well together.
That combination sounds magical, like feasting with the winter king himself.
NOW! There is a bonifide lumberjack! Marvelous!
Excellent watering system for the garden ❤ That is one huge tree! Dan needs a garden tea room so he doesn't trade muddy boots into the house and gardening is hot work, it's good to have somewhere nearby to rest and cool off.
The chandelier and tapestry chairs are absolutely gorgeous!! Love them! Would love to see Selmar's new camp site! Kudo's to the tree guy! Well done!
Kudos. Not kudo’s 😁
Omg what a beauty 😍❤️ it looks like a gorgeous Murano chandelier ❤️❤️❤️😘
I can’t wait to watch it 🎉🤗🥰
It is a murano for sure.
Murano, I meant.
Its so exciting seeing how this chateau has come on and i love all the inhabitants and how they really welcome the guests. Love it!!! ❤️
You guys are an ABSOLUTE hoot !!! Love you all.
I love the creaking of the floors! I truly love rewatching past vlogs. Especially seeing the sunshine and everyone on the terrace. Philip, I forgot you cut your hair. I just love Vivienne. Your vlogs are little treasures. Thank you! P.S. I can’t wait to see Stephen’s tiles of your fathers work up in the kitchen. Missing the old fire stove too! And, Dan the gardener (châtelaine) and Kat and Kirsty!!
In Colorado we get mildew on roses if sprinklers are used. Don't know about your area. Thanks for Sharing life at LaLande 💜💙💜
Stephanie, that chandelier is out of this world. It’s one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen!! It fits perfectly in that room. Goes well with the wallpaper too. Will you be using the same pattern for the renovation?
I absolutely love the froggy chorus. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👌
The vignette at the end, of the Peacocks playing in the setting sunlight, is beautiful. Thank you for capturing that moment in the way you did.
What a spectacular vlog Stephanie and you are being rightly rewarded with the number of new subscribers. It seems like just yesterday you were at 100k and already you are at almost 140k well done!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for all your hard work and the artistry you put into your vlogs. I think your father is looking down on you and is so proud of your art in making beautiful vlogs and is saying well done daughter.Love To All!!!💖💞💖
Very enjoyable vlog. Would love to hear Cat do some singing on the vlog. She has a gorgeous voice.
Lalande is magical!
Stephanie the lime render on the base of the walls and turret at the front of Lalande are being ruined by the flower bed. You are introducing a source of constant moisture to that area and you need to do the opposite (keep the area dry) to protect the structure integrity of the walls. The lime render has already fallen off in many areas, but you can see clearly in this video that the render is very very damp. This will not only ruin ur wall structure if you don't remedy this urgently, but all interior walls will be damaged and your will end up redecorating. The correct way to fix this is to get rid of the flower beds and install a French drain with perforated plastic pipe all along the base of the wall and have the drain end up well away from the house. The wall render will need to be taken off and let the walls dry out for a few months before re-rendering them. Usually a solid wall dries at about 2 inches per month. Now is the ideal time of year to do this as you have the summer weather helping to dry the walls. Never inject the walls with damp proof chemicals and never use cement anywhere - only use lime mortar & plaster, along with a breathable paint and the walls will dry out on their own.
I hope Nati or Stephanie sees this. You seem so knowledgeable. Is there a way to email them as this seems so urgent.
Does anyone have Nati's email for this news. Patrons please move structure issues up the list of projects. I know drainage was done in back and the terrace is being worked on.
Warned about this earlier as it was being planned, but to no avail.
I hope you emailed this comment directly to the Chateau as its very important and I hope after all this time you have accomplished this notification. Thank you!
How is the chateau shopping going for Steve and Sarah? 🤠❤️
I was wondering that too. Nothing gets said and they don’t seem to go out anywhere, or at least don’t say if they have.
@@AvaT42 That is an odd expectation. The channel is not about them.
With the restrictions I am not sure how easy it would be. Maybe we'll hear more as things ease up?
@@AvaT42 cant really know from two half hour videos a week 😂
Steve may be working on the 300 plus designs that Stephanie's father left to be scanned into a computer and made into tiles.
This was just an beautiful video! I loved @30:59 the song is so lovely...of course Thor & Siv a really beautiful ending to the video! Really glad Cat is back...she is truly a warm lovely person! Thank you so much for a wonderful video! Take care of yourselves, stay safe! Much love Kathy x
I love the beautiful Moreno chandelier you have in your room! It’s fit for a princess! What a great find.
I was sitting on the wall at the end............in spirit. With the receding sun shining on my face. Thank you my dear I soooooooooooo needed that today.
I love all the updates but this one was exceptional. Truly magical. Thank you Stephanie for sharing with the world. Linda from Wisconsin USA
I LOVE THE VERY ENDING WITH THAT SONG AND THE SUN GOING DOWN. BEATIFUL EDITING
Oh my Marano Glass Chandelier is beautiful!!!
I only started watching youtube back in 2019.. when i got very sick.. and had to stay at home for 5 days...i think that was like back in nov 2019.. before the virus went crazy.. but yeah.. it only started getting like a daily habit only last year...life saver.. really. Thank you..i love watching your vlogs on french living...in a dreamy home
That huge tree, cut into a chair and then treated and varnished and glazed will be gorgeous and plant trees around it will be awesome.
Jumping back in to the channel with the last lalande video I ever watched - two years later!! I can’t believe how time has flow by and how much I’ve miss this group of lovely people. I’m getting caught up as fast as I can. Much love from Maine - Chloe.
Oof, so much gorgeous light in this episode. And of course all the gorgeous people too.
🌸🌸🌸
Chateau Love nice to have you visiting !
Fab footage of the tree feeling. Lovely to see Selmar again, I've missed him.
What marvelous pieces! That Murano chandelier looks like it always hung there, the petit point bergère, all pf it fits in perfectly with your color scheme and style!
Marvelous video, so much beauty and creativity going on! The evening light, the song of birds ans frogs, and mr Peacock showing off his glorious feathers is all breathtaking….
Oh and that log bench, what a great idea! Who doesn’t love a magical place like that for a woodland pause and snack?
So nice to comemorate such an old tree that needed to be felled.
He IS something else your brilliant tree man!
Those beautiful stairs from an old chapel would be marvelous in a library, in an outhouse or barn converted to a social space or should you build a tiny treehouse in the woods with a view for birdwatching and meditation near the lake.
This was a delight to watch, must have been quite arduous in the heat!
Love from Stockholm ❤️
What a beautiful summer day vlog! Makes me wish I was there and the views are amazing! I am so happy that Kat has made it back to Lalande.
Cat is my favorite, I love her spirit & personality
La Lande is alive with the sounds of music, buzz saws, peacocks, nature and lovely people. The Murano chandelier has found a perfect home and the new seating set too. I sure hope Matt can sort out the water system after all that work. Nice to see Selmar and hear he has happily relocated his camper van closer to nature and away from the Reno construction. Thank you Stephanie🙏🏻❤️
I had the most laugh in this episode. Thank you Stephanie. It’s been wonderful watching today. God bless all the happy Lalanders always.
So many treasures in this video! The chandeliers, the desk, the chairs! I feel replete with so much beauty. What a life you lead surrounded by so much beauty, history and best of all, by friends and laughter. I wish I could teleport myself for even a day at the Chateau and I swear it would hold me over for at least a decade.
'My halo!' Flapping of wings. OMG! So funny!
I was feeling a little down, but I now have a smile on my face …..THANK YOU❣️
That chandelier is so whimsical. Love it! Thank you so much for sharing.
Wonderful video, love the beautiful chandelier, and the view out the bedroom window is absolutely gorgeous it could almost be a painting. Thor and the pea hen are so pretty. Love the trunk bench, thank God is was felled before it came down on the church. Have a great weekend. Lovely seeing Selmar and Cat more too. Your meals are delish looking. 😘🥰
What a enchanting and varied vlog! Something for everyone. Thank you for including us.🥰
Loved this episode. Was like going back in time to Stephanie’s original vlog style.
What a gorgeous vlog! So much happening, the tree felling, the gorgeous seat made from the tree, beautiful food made by Cat-&also Cats presence it's so good to have her back! So much going on in the garden as well as the hanging of the exquisite murano glass chandelier, as well as meeting all your lovely guests. It seems the chateau has come alive again!🦚🌺🌻🌲🐌🦉🐿🦔
