The trick of driving throgh fords involves knowing how highyour air intake is mounted. Holidayed on the broads many years ago, had a wonderful wek in which we motored from Wroxham down to Breydon water and Yarmouth, then back up the Yare to Norwich, turned round and went back! Great fun, last week of the season and almost empty! Another greatVideo guys, keep yer feet dry!! Phil
We do try to avoid going through floods even though the air intake and axle breathers are high on the Land Rover, although that ford can be fun if the water is low. The broads are a great place to visit and you would have gone along that stretch of river which was the Yare and about 3 miles out of Norwich. We have been on the broads when the river is flooded and it is really hard to work out where the banks are. Take care

We've been having heavy rains and snows in Connecticut too. I built on a hillside so that it pretty much drains in a day but, our rivers are at flood stage. Several houses up the road have flooded yards and basements. I remember flooded roads in 1968 where guys were floating over the flooded areas in their VW beetles, which float. Stay dry guys. Up until the first part of this week, we haven’t had snow. We have snow now. We have made up for lost time. I plowed snow all day yesterday and it is 2:30 pm here today and I just finished and came in the house
Water is a necessity for life but too much of it in one spot in a short period of time can do a lot of damage very quickly. Hope the flooding recedes soon so that people can begin rebuilding their lives. Stay safe and well.
In Victorian times it was decided to build drains in the UK as a combined system which means that it is not just rainwater in some of the floads which is horrible for the people who's houses were flooded. With the changes in the climate we are seeing more floods. Take care

Yes, the water has started to go doen now and we have not had rain for a few days now. The area where we live has broads rather than canals, these are man-made waterways created by digging for peat. Take care

We do have freezing weather this week but it is not often that the water freezes. Many farmers put a crop in the field in September/october for harvest in the summer and I am sure they will have a lot of damage. Take care

we haven't had any excessive rains here for quite a while but I know some folks have been washed off low water bridges and some even drown, are you allowed to fish at that river where the boats were ? I looked at your sisters channel, I had no idea there were so many different animals in your area.
Yes, you can fish in the river if you buy a license. We have lots of different animals but none that can kill you which is good. The waters are going down now so I hope we do not get any more rain for a while. Take care
the only animals that are harmful here in Missouri is mostly copper head snakes or timber rattlers,, they say there are some mountain lions around but I have never seen one there are supposed to be some black bears but again , I haven't seen any. @@GardenTractorBoy
