I used engine-multi threading off for a few weeks now, town fps are terrible but instances generally are mostly fine for me unless a ton of mobs are on screen, for now i'd rather deal with less fps than frequent crashs at least while im still doing campaign. didn't notice a difference with Vulcan still got the same crashes weirdly.
I am on windows 11, unfortunately had hte 24h2 update and can't uninstall since its been too long. I've tried about 15 diferent supposed fixes since day one. I'd take crashing at this point but my big issues is the game literally freezes my machine up. This causes me to power cycle the machine which is just too annoying to keep wanting to play.
I lowered textures to Med , closed any overlays and unless trading keep your browser closed. I haven't crashed in a few days since doing it . Also if you notice a process called WMI using excessive resources , close game and restart the process for WIn 10 not sure if Win 11 still uses that process.
it's not your computer it is server side latency. When loaded into a map if I'm getting more than 22ms (your ping may vary) I select respawn at checkpoint and do that repeatedly until I get on a "server" that is 22 ms and then the map works perfect and it stays at 22ms. You can't tell me this is any issue with my computer if it magically works fine sometimes and sometimes it's f'ed up, but it's all around latency.
So after I uploaded this video I did get a crash when booting up the game while I had obs running which has never happened before. Which I dont think would be a server issue?
I had quite a lot of crashes on campaing... for some reason my PC heats up while playing this on medium... but high it works fine. No idea why it did that... but it dropped me to desktop before i "figured" it out. I am assuming its the heat, why it heats up.. NO idea. PC is quite good condition and no problems with other games of this generation. ITS this EA stuff.
Just an FYI, crashes are an AMD issue from what I have experienced and gathered. I have both an intel and an AMD setup. Zero crashes on my intel and multiple crashes on my AMD. Same is true with a few friends.
Can't confirm that. I experienced numerous crashes on my intel machine. I had to install BES to limit the CPU-Usage of POE2 to 95% instead of 100%. Switching to Vulkan has also helped. With those 2 combined my PC wouldn't freeze up completely anymore. It's just the random restart during a loading screen that is left now, but that is a kinda rare thing, so I am happy with that.
I would crash every time I played, but after changing to Vulkan from DirectX 12, I haven't crashed since. Been about 3 weeks now without a crash.
I hear that a lot. For me it doesn't change anything (ryzen 7700x, rtx 4080).
landed on your video after yet another crash while loading a map. Thank you
@@Eche_8 Glad to help

@@wondermog4524 I feel that, its so annoying I hope GGG optimizes the graphics better.

@@JOHNDOE-ls5cv Good to know for anyone on Win10
would be nice if mouse movement were same fps as gameplay ( mose sometimes stutters and feels like 30 fps or less, whewre as the game is at 144)
@@c3n5i Oh thats interesting to keep in mind thx for that input

Super weird. I'm hearing all kinds of different things.
