Also, I *immediately* knew this was post-Soviet, not even by the "post-collapse" animation style seen in early 2000's (tied to the downfall of Soviet animation; CDI Zelda and Mario were created by such castaway animators, and it is comparable), but by one specific gag. You see, when Bear imagines his future in prison as a "flamboyant gay" trope, he becomes a rooster. Or a "petukh" in Russian. "Petukh" in prison slang means exactly that - a man participating in soap-dropping-without-any-soap throughout his entire sentence. EDIT: the producer, as shown in the credits, is googlable. It is Yuri Volodarskii (spelling may differ), born in Odessa, Ukrainian SSR. From 1984 to 1996 he produced the comic group "Maski" (The Masks), which were EXTREMELY popular in both Russia and Ukraine. The fact that he is from Odessa explains so many nods to Jewish stuff - as Odessa has a prominent and vibrant Jewish community immortalized in post-Soviet folklore and anecdotes.

The foot coming down was from godzilla 1984. There was a short before the movie starts where godzilla steps on Bambi 😂
The zilla foot was a call back to that and this animated one was a call back to that 😅
God now I know where I know the bull dog announcer's voice. They where a supplemental VA in The English Dub of Wakfu
This is funnier if you're a Slav
So basically, the Fox is a journalist type, and might have something going on with Bear on the side. She has somehow learned of the scheme to frame Bear, and helps him out basically.
The whole "Biters are Jewish" seems to be an Odessa in-joke because historically the city had a gigantic Jewish population. Had the movie came out in 2003 I'd think it's a Roman Abramovich reference.
So many barely disguised fetishes, lmao. That burger thing for instance, must be at the very least a feeding/force feeding fetish.
Have you ever seen the American Rabbit film from 1986? It's a weird film where a rabbit discovers he can turn into a superhero and fly by running fast, it also has a wizard show up to explain his power to him and send him on a journey to the big city.
This cartoon remind me "Kangoos", a French cartoon show about kangaroos playing basketball in a human world.
I support that insane godzilla tangent. That's amazing.
I know I have seen this when I was a kid renting the vhs from a rental store called Hastings at one point but my mind has repressed it but after seeing the fox lady I now know when it went wrong (also the Disney Robin hood)
This is the most furry thing I've ever seen.
