I don’t think I’ve ever been as invested in a single player doing well as I am for Simon this weekend. Really want him to get that podium finish to qualify-esp after what went down last weekend. Cmon Simon 🍺 🍺
And the band/basket! I couldn't help it but I laughed so hard at his frustration after his birdie putt on 16. Probably because I related to his round so much just getting the par after a birdie band hit.
Simon and Calvin are two players that should be mic’d up for every single round they play. Their self deprecating talk to themselves is the most entertaining thing disc golf has to offer, can’t get enough of it.
@@kingdavey90 yeah, Ben talks down on himself and gets mad at himself but it’s not in the same way. Simon and Calvin make it funny, Ben just seems mad.
He's 4th in fairway hits in the PDGA and for how far he throws, that is impressive. He needs to bring his putting up a notch(ranked 38th) and he should win some tournaments.
Ugh. That was a tough watch. This day in age, you'd think there'd be a way to improve slick teepads besides putting down a towel. So many par 3's and short 4's that getting off the tee well is critical.
Definitely true--especially now that we see some of these bigger names getting PAID, it would just be crazy if someone tore up their knee or something. It always surprises me how so many of these pros wear Vans, regular sneakers etc vs. some other type of shoe/boot.
Funny contrast between this and gatekeeper media round. The other group had good flow and all shot good rounds whereas this group was mainly struggling
Cool invention proposal: put a little TV at each tee box on the blind holes with live video of action near the green. Would be super helpful to see the reactions off trees, rocks, and roots.
Yeah he was throwing an ESP reaper and a TI undertaker. They must’ve confused the discs. I think he’s throwing the reaper instead of the raptor rn. He said there’s no fairway in discrafts line up that’s stable enough for him.

I don’t want to hurt Jomezpro (it’s not their fault) by not watching, but I also really don’t want to watch and support this kind of disc golf-where players’ health are being put at risk. Not sure if I’ll watch further rounds or skip 😔😢
It would be so easy and cheap to make those tee pads more grippy. I bet if you just etched the concrete with some acid or painted over them with deck paint that's had the sand in it for grip.
One thing that would help the commentary is noting when different players played and when the hot scores came in. Was it because of a late rain vs. early dry conditions? Did things clear up later? Are some dealing with the terrible teapad conditions better than others? How? Etc?
Them tee pads look like they are covered in Crisco with an oil spil! For being the end of the line where everyone is there to do battle you would think they would of come up with a solution or had them replaced this season!

It was certainly entertaining commentary. Suddenly these pros are human!? Who would have guessed
