Lightly spray "Static Guard" spray on the glass to prevent the sticking. It works! This is such a beautiful and creative idea! I would have loved this as a child! I grew up in an area with no snow and always fantasized about what it would be like. I now live in an area that gets plenty of snow and am over it, lol. I just think this is such a genius idea! You're so clever and I never get tired of your ideas.

3 simple words; You are talented.
So creative!! This would be such a fun holiday family project when the kids say "I'm bored". The kids could even draw a winter scene for the background. Making memories.....
I am a card maker and when I want to use embossing powder, I rub my card with what is called an "anti static" bag which helps the powder to not stick to places where I don't want it. The bag is just a little cotton bag filled with corn starch. Maybe that would help if you rubbed the glass with that. Dryer sheets have a bit of stickiness about them so that may be why they didn't help a bunch. Hope that helps! I love your videos and this project is just awesome!

That was absolutely adorable! Reminds me of my battery operated snow lanterns I have that are lighted and the snow (glitter) falls continually. They make me SO happy! But yours looks even more cozy. I LOVE IT!

I love a beautiful heavy snow that makes the world quiet…Love walking in it ! I get a little disappointed when the Weather Channel calls for snow and it doesn’t come ! LOL!!

Your project takes me back to when I was 7 & my grandma gave me a small snow globe that had a tree inside & lit like a nightlight. To stop the static, you can remove the styrofoam balls into a bowl or box & spray them with static guard. Let dry. spray a 2nd time & let dry completely. That should work.

That’s beautiful lace. A friend had her daughters room painted and the painter painted the room using lace as a stencil, it was so beautiful.And speaking of beautiful your snow box turned out to be beautiful (in spite of the fact that I’m not a fan of snow at all).

Mary I love the snow globe and your short videos! Could you take out the styrofoam snow and rub it with dryer sheets in a bowl or shake it in a bag with the dryer sheets to try to cut the static? Just an idea...I think there are antistatic sprays as well.

Mary, I wanted to thank you for the winter container garden idea that you created on your deck. I was so inspired that I went to 4 different garden centers and found some really nice plants, some greatly discounted, and set to work making a beautiful winter scene. It is lovely to sit inside in a comfortable chair and see nice evergreen shrubs that I will later plant in the spring.
