Nice Video. Not quite up to a DJI yet. I started out with a cheap Syma Drone. Just got a Holystone HS700 about a month ago. How I came across this video was looking for places to fly my drone on LI. Someone mentioned Tanner Park and I searched videos of it. Was wondering if I would have any problems flying there being if is now after Labor Day and off season. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed it. Tanner Park is a great place to fly your drone. There may be a couple of others there so just be careful of the other drones. You do not need to be a town resident to enter the park after Labor Day. Good luck and have fun.
Amazing video ... Very familiar with the area since I have a boat and fish throughout the great South bay. Can't believe you were able to go As far as you did ... I wouldn't have fingernails left if I was trying that. Which drone were you using? Thanks for sharing ... Loved it! Rick
This video was shot on a DJI Phantom 3S flying a Litchi flight plan. The original flight plan had the aircraft circling Gilgo marina before heading back but the drone cancelled the plan early and came home. Thanks for watching.
I just don't have faith yet to go that far with mine. Thats an awesome video.. BTW, is this the 3? I thought i read that on the 4, you can no longer see the blade by the camera?
Yes, this is the P3. There was a strong headwind on the way across. The props got into the video because of the pitch needed to maintain the speed. If you watched the trip back across the bay you will see that the props are not in the video because of the tailwind.
+Long Island Aerial yeah, I figured that was the case, specially towards the end of the flight . Mine does that too. I was just curious if it was the 4 or not because I had read that no matter the pitch , the props aren't visible. I wondered if it was true. To me, I'll save the extra money, and look at props every now and again 😏

Thank you for your response regarding
Tanner Park. We will be going to check it out soon.
I really should get a drone again and film more of Tanner Park and the surrounding Islands...

Thanks for sharing. Question: do you have any antenna/long range mods on your P3? That's about 2.52 miles out.
This was a Litchi flight plan. I did not have any mods installed.
It's seems that you quit the flight plan at least the one published on the Litchi hub, around mid course. Any reasons? Thanks for sharing.
The flight plan did get interrupted but I didn't stop it. I'm not sure what happened to cause the aircraft to cut the pattern short.
