Aloha. I don't think you have to. I've grown my seedlings in direct sun and planted them in direct sun. But I think that until you're ready to plant them out, partial shade is okay. If you mean do you have to plant them in their permanent home in direct sun, I think there are a lot of different conditions to consider. I think plants are adaptable and partial shade would be okay permanently for such a hardy plant.
Hello. I saved some seeds and tried growing them after about a year. Their viability was much reduced from fresh seeds. I think the worst you can do it just try them out.
@@RichesToRoots I have put the seeds in soil two weeks ago , on the web I found that it takes approximately 3 weeks to start growing, I ll wait for next week and let you know!
My mother named me Carissa because she saw it in a plant book. I'm interested in growing the plant but I live in central Florida. Will it be too wet here for that kind of plant?
It is avery nice ground cover, I like the growth habit. And beeing edible is surplus. :))
Very cool.
Super video. I’m now officially pumped up for Natal plums. I hope to see an update sometime.
Awesome. Thanks. I will. Just about to put them in the ground.
I grew some natal plums three months ago, they grow very slow.
Are u going to do an update??
Coincidentally I was looking at them yesterday and was thinking about that. Yes, I will. Mine have grown slowly too.
@@RichesToRoots Did you post an update? I don't see anything. Eager to see what it looks like!
Hi, I have a question, I grow some seeds, now I have the plants, Do I have to put them to direct sun all day?

@@RichesToRoots Ok, thank you for the response
Somehow, I missed this video. How are they doing now....?
They're great. Every single one survived. But they're pretty slow growing. I'll put them in a follow up video sometime soon.
@@RichesToRoots Fantastic..waiting on that follow up. Happy growing.
I have a question, how much time do I have to keep the seeds before planting it? My seeds are dry now

@@RichesToRoots thank you so much for the quick answer, I ll try to plant them now
I'd love know if they turn out.

That's so nice. I think it should do fine. I'd just plant it in very well drained soil.
@@RichesToRoots thank you
What was your potting mix for the seeds?
Aloha. It was just a general all purpose potting soil.
