Thanks so much. We used to have a coffee table that had a wood burned illustration of 3 horses, but it was worn down and I did a color resin pour on it. The kids were bummed we lost the horsey table. So, now we have a different one.

This is AMAZING, I love it! So much that I am dying to create a kitchen countertop with the same concept. Question: how does the acrylic hold up in terms of cleaning, wiping, etc.? I have not worked with acrylic at all, have admired it for a while but a bit intimidated... but this is so cool, you've inspired me to give it a go! I just wonder how it holds up over time. Any advice on that?
OMG 😱! This is stunning. That is definitely, one helluva come back, Clara. I am sooo in love with this piece. Stunning, does not begin to express just how beautiful your finished table is. Can you please tell me what UTC is and why it is used as a Topcoat? Thank you 🙏 ♥️💐💐
Thanks so much. UTC yes is a topcoat. Resin will stay in a soft state for about a month before becoming completely cured. When you apply a UTC you can put the item into use a day afterwards with no trouble. Think of it as applying armor to your piece. It ads a tough and scratch level of protection to your piece. SCC Epoxy has a scratch resistance already built into it, but like anything it too can get scratched. (Way better than an epoxy that doesn't have it) With the UTC it helps around high use areas like countertops and tables. It will be applied. WAY worth it.

Clara, I am a new sub after finding you with help of RK3 and Keith at KCDC Designs. What a great project! Wowza, this is amazing. I love your creativity. I have been casting excess resin in jewelry molds but I am not a jewelry artist so it still is not reusable. I love your idea of casting them into small pieces that I can actually use. Do you have an Amazon affiliate link for the mold?
Thanks for all the nice comments. I have several molds that might help. Here are my affiliate links. Tiny squares amzn.to/3k95hrV Flat Round amzn.to/3VX4zuY Round amzn.to/3Xosg0s These are inexpensive molds. Do not torch, as they will kill the integrity of the mold and tear up when you release your resin. Tip, use tape to get rid of the tiny bits left behind.

Did you have to brace the table in any way from the weight of pouring on top of the mosaics? It looks amazing!
