I ain't that familiar with the story in Women Talking, but the way it was told by Sarah Polley is very engaging and wonderful so it leaves you felling hopeful towards a brighter future at the end, and if I remember correctly, this is the finest adaptation I've seen on the silver screen since The big short , I guess she's the best contender in this category...wish it's hers .
That one does have to win All quiet on the western front, since like the old 1930 version that adapts the book by Erich Maria Remarque, it takes liberties but as an adaptation it deserves an Oscar
Sarah Polley please!!!! She deserves this.
I think Living should win this. I was hoping that Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris would be nominated for this
Same. Living is very beautifully written.
I would love for Top Gun Maverick to win this and then Best Picture
It's only everything everywhere all at once
@@AnandKumar-qe6ut Everything Everywhere All At Once is original bro
This, please.
@@alejandromangieri1495 agree to disagree
I think it is between Women Talking and All Quiet on The Western Front
All quiet on the western front
It didn‘t adapt the book one to one, it added things that were not in the original and it came to the right conclusions about what the book was trying to do
And it‘s just a really good movie also, so there is that 😊
I think Women Talking is the favorite to win for the best adapted screenplay!🤔
I still can’t believe the man who once wrote “My face is my warrant” is an Oscar nominee now!
Lol who?
@@radiantlight2361 Ehren Kruger for Top Gun, he wrote the terrible Bad Transformers 4 🤦🏽♂️ Actor Titus Welliver said that to Mark Wahlberg 🙄
Such a stupid line but it was said so convincingly by Titus Welliver in Transformers 4. It's a Michael Bay movie what do you expect?
@@OscarMPG1 A Michael Bay movie that was in my Top 5 worst movies of 2014. I fucking hated it.
Hard 50/50 between Knives Out and Top Gun
We are all addicted to stories & cinema shows, keep up & enjoy spreading good vibes, fans are always here to backup you guys
I’d give it Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
I haven’t seen all the nominees and I would also have nominated The Batman, but overall I think that was my favourite screenplay of the year. I also would given it a nomination for Best Film Editing.
My ranking:
1. "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery"
2. "Women Talking"
3. "Living"
4. "All Quiet on the Western Front"
5. "Top Gun: Maverick"
Cool ranking. It’s hard for me to say how I would rank. Great lineup
TOP GUN won the real award ..
The BEST reviewed, most beloved movie of the year & the box office
Haven’t seen Women Talking or Living but my list ordering is pretty much the same with my pick going to Glass Onion
I hope that "Living" will win the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. It's looking like a strong contender.
All quiet on the western front
Living would be deserving, but I think it's going to All Quiet or Women Talking
Why would you want an Oscar when you already have a Nobel Prize?
personal preference would be:
1. all quiet
2. women talking
3. living
4. glass onion
5. top gun
Very excited for show night THIS SUNDAY!!!!
1. All Quiet on the Western Front
2. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Why does Top Gun count as an adaptes screenplay? Was there a book or something?
It’s a sequel. For an example: Toy Story 3 was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay and it said it was based on the Toy Story films
Sequels are counted as adapted since the characters are taken from an earlier film
I’d rather given the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplays to Top Gun: Maverick. Hands down! I’m glad they brought back Val Kilmer as Iceman in this even though it’s sad that he had throat cancer (just like Val in real-life even though he did beat it though, and is doing fine now)
I hope Sarah Polley wins for Women Talking.
All Quiet on the Western Front should win. Living comes 2nd close
It's shame that RRR isn't nominated man😔
Wouldn't it be considered Original?
What's it adapted from?
@@AngelofMusic04 Don't worry, the point is to mention RRR as much as they can in every video.
@@currykingwurst6393 it's original story based on two real life characters
Teşekkürler
Congratulations OSCAR
Top Gun: Maverick ✈️ 💙 🩵 🛩
All Quiet on the Western Front 👍👍👍
I paused the video at several points just to see what the scripts looked like, and the Top Gun one had the script for Western Front, I'm assuming by accident.
Top Gun Maverick should win best adapted screenplay
Women Talking should win! Claire Foy was robbed for an Oscars nomination.
If Top Gun only wins two categories on Sunday, I want it to win this and Best Picture. Please, please give this movie the recognition it deserves.
Don't worry, I guess that the Oscar for Sound and another one for at least one special achievement are pretty much locked. And this to me personally would be more important than any BP award. This category doesn't mean a thing nowadays. You may easily swap it out with "Best Moralistic Lecture". No one needs it.
@@rafearcher7882 Well, my reasoning for wanting Top Gun to win for screenplay is I think it's such a wonderful nod to the original film, and how tastefully done it was created. I feel to like the writers and the people who come up w these films, aren't appreciated enough, but that's just my own personal view. Also in regards to BP, I think this movie, Tom, and all the actors involved deserve the recognition.
@@MeganWoodard1984 I feel the same way about the movie. Everyone I talked to and who wasn't a complete d*ck thought it was the reason why people go to the theaters. But still I stan my realist and objective point of view and unfortunately have to say BP is not gonna happen. Just look at the award season so far. They almost excluded it everywhere else except for the tech categories. Still: If Oscars wanna stay relevant for the majority of movie-goers, they need to give this film at least some recognition.
@@rafearcher7882 :) Fair enough.
It will win Sound and possibly Editing, it has no chance in Best Picture though.
I was so disapointed 😕 when The Whale was not mention in this category, as a matter of fact, Top Gun should not be here.
lets take a moment and realize that the guy who wrote 3 transformers films got nominated
Give TOP GUN all the awards ..
A win for the audience
lmao nice joke bro
@@uncle7215 you should go outside more often
@@scottbarkley496 and you should go to the cinema more often if you think Top Gun even holds a candle to All Quiet on the Western Front
@@uncle7215 except All Quiet wasn't even released in cinemas ..
but keep talking outta your ass
It had limited screenings. I saw it twice in cinemas…
