As someone else who purchased this unit to move up from Nespresso, I would say this video is bang on; unit is easy to use, it dials itself in. just sipping those first shots gave me a sense of what James Hoffman was talks about with coffee, and left me glad I didn't have to do it by myself. I understand it is slow, but I have been able to grind and tamp my coffee, put milk in the jug (I switched to whole milk.) push 2 buttons in sequence and walk away and prep breakfast until it beeps it is done. I also like watching the extraction, who knows maybe one day I will swap out for a Breville Barista Touch, but at 1/3 the price and other UA-cam videos claiming the guts of the machine / build quality is similar I doubt I am switching soon. If you are thinking of Nespresso, buy this instead, you can use whole beans and know what is really in your coffee. I have a lot of Nespresso pods left still, but all my milk foam is made on the Ninja. got to say, it is tough to force myself to use those last Nespresso pods though.
not sure, I purchased one of these to upgrade from Nespresso, which it certainly is and as described in the video. there are lots of ways to do unexpected different things with the machine. If you give me a basic guide or reference, I can try something and get back to you. I have had Cuban coffee when visiting Florida on business, I recall liking it, as I recall it was strong and sweet. but maybe I just added a lot of sugar, maybe my memory is hazy. Nespresso has a Miami which is barely reminiscent of what I recall Cuban coffee to be, so we can leave that alone.
@@ErinLawrenceTV I don’t have people to share it with, but I would use the espresso quad basket and make a quad shot, having prepared a small glass with 3 spoons of sugar. Stir the sugar with a small amount of first extract, and the slowly mix the two. I can’t take that much caffeine so I haven’t made it yet.
Interesting definition of "automatic" - Manual tamping, moving the handle, pouring the milk ... The "automatic" bit seems limited to grinding and milk froth.
@whya2ndaccount Exactly! I don't have time to fuss with all that in the morning and that is why I love my superautomatic...press a few buttons and off I go!
Automatic usually refers to the espresso shot. Manual machines you manually control the time the waster is drawn and automatic machine does it for you. I’ve never heard of automatic refer to the grinding and tamping
We've had ours 3 days, it's confusing but after a little practice you can handle it. Does make exceptional espresso. They should make a tudor video though! And watch as much on You Tube as you can. Thanks for you own tudor piece, best I've seen so far! Answered a few questions I had! Thx
World best automatic espresso machine? absolutely not, better candidate for best value. Beautiful machine that seems to do everything 6/10 which is a steal, it's amazing how much it can do and how userfriendly it is.

I agree, it's hard to beat the convenience and the quality for the price!
100% agree with all you said. I've had mine for a week and have thoroughly enjoyed all drinks thus far.
Glad to hear that!
Great review. Thank you!

Please link us to those cool espresso shot cups thanks
Those are nice aren’t they? From Nespresso: www.nespresso.com/ca/en/order/accessories/vertuo/origin-accessories-collection-espresso
Great review. Definitely deserve more views. $700 CAD sounds like a lot up front, but think of the money saved in the long run.
Much appreciated, thank you!
Hello, can u make cuban coffee with it?

Not sure. How do you make it?

The European version does have a hot water spout. Hopefully they'll add it to the North American version at some point.
Yes!

Haha, good point!
It’s technically a semi-automatic.
