This is very interesting to me. I have seen mma fighters train with boxers to work on hands, angles, footwork, etc but never a boxer train at a mma gym to prepare for a boxing match.

everytime i see usman spar its been against lower weight class opponents, I feel like he should change that up for sure. His main training partner is Michael Johnson whos a featherweight

I’m against hard sparring and all but I have never seen this light of sparring in a gym before especially considering all these guys are active high level pros. I feel like at some point if you turn down the intensity too much you just end up making it too unrealistic to be useful.

I was surprised, I knew he came from a kickboxing background but I thought he was doing boxing only now. I think he should try to fight in the ufc, he'd probably have more success and make more money

Yea but then again he would have to lose some weight. In the ufc you gotta be under 265 and in boxing he comes in over 280, he should probably lose weight either way though it'll only make him better

I respect how he's a well rounded fighter, fought some good guys in kickboxing and now beating some good guys in boxing. I don't think he'll ever become great on Wilder or Joshua level in boxing though. He has a better chance against Stipe or Ngannou in the ufc if he could learn some grappling.

If you never been an athlete and I am not sure you have, but I will tell you this. Practice should be way harder than the fight. So to have tough days or even equal days, that prepares you for a war...
