- Hey guys, glad to invite again my friend Pierre Cussac on the accordion. He brings this time a cool waltz composed by one of the godfathers of the musette, mister Jo Privat. I didn't manage to find the year of composition, so if you have the info, please share it in the comments. I guess i'll post twice a week for a few weeks, using the tuesday post as a solo guitar video, and the friday for videos with guests.
I'm playing a 1938 D'Angelico Style A (guitar strung with Ernie Ball nickel roundwound strings gauge 12, pick Dunlop Gator 0.71mm) and Pierre is playing a Jupiter accordeon, with Gavrilin blades. The sound is recorded with both a Neumann TLM 103 and a Bluebird microphone in the room.

I may be considering recording a physical album with these acoustic standards as some of you have asked for it, but as printing cds is being a bigger quest year after year, please drop me a message if you think it's a good idea or if you'd like to preorder one or give suggestions etc.

Great sound, guys! I love the accordion. This brings back fond memories of living in Europe (Germany) in the 90s. I played a couple of concerts in a big band with the Dutch accordionist, Mat Mathews (1924-2009). He, too, played a button accordion like your friend, Pierre is playing. I'm also a big fan of Art Van Damme (with Johnny Smith!). It's really nice to hear you with your friend, Pierre Cussac - and a beautiful D'Angelico. Thanks for posting, Romain.
