I was at this show, standing about 20’ from her. It was the first time I heard her, hooked since. Kingfish was there that day, and he was awesome as well.
Wow I Love this young Ladies rendition of another time less classic! Ally, I hope you never lose that approach, style & stag presence you perform at present!
She could have opened for either Vaughn Brother, no problem. This young lady absolutely kills it. The list of great female led bands this past decade is very impressive and she is high on that list. Rock On into the future! 🎸
@@josephdillehay3130 I saw Jimmie Vaughn open for Eric Clapton on his mid 90s blues tour, both guitarists were on fire that might. The Blues is still worth listening to, for sure.
Ready to roll all the way from the UK! Out to Denmark Nov 14th show at godset kolding Denmark ! Going to be special catching ally live for the very first time jumping and pumping!
The best thing about you my dear is l don't have to wonder if l here muisic if it you l know it's you everytime that's the true mark of greatness in muisic your fan guitar man Dave
That's some beasty guitar playing! Maybe it's because she's from Texas, but Ally kills the vocals on this SRV favorite, too! Can't believe I've never heard of her and her band before. See that she's only 22, but she released her first album when just 14, and her and her band both had already won blues awards when she was just 15 and 16 years old! Unbelievable. Don't know if it was the mix or the recording, but the drums kind of drowned out the bass and guitar (although not her vocal). Thought it would have sounded even better had that guitar been cranked, adding just a little more tone and distortion. She's definitely got the chops! I like her energy and vibe, too. Always loved SRV, and was lucky to have lived in Texas for some years when he was just first making a name for himself. Shortly after, moved back home up north, where very few knew yet who he was, since his music wasn't getting airplay. So I got to turn on my brothers and friends to his music, which they greatly appreciated (and still do). In fact, was with two brothers and some friends for his last two shows at Alpine Valley, where he sadly died in that helicopter crash while leaving after the second show. Didn't find out until the next morning, and it was quite the shock. Still have the ticket stubs I kept as mementos, but they're a poor substitute for Stevie. Anyway, thanks much for posting, and I got to get me some more Ally, whose music is right up my alley!
The mix was quite horrible. It was hard to sit there and listen to the performance. The bass was very overpowering and distorted coming through the large speakers in front of the stage and I had to put the audio through an equalizer to try and balance it all.
@@1AnitrasDance ~ Thanks, that explains it! Saw the huge speaker cabinet for the bass, but nothing comparable on Ally's side for the guitar. Have been to small music venues like that before, where the bass is a bit overpowering, even though the band is quite good. It can get the crowd moving, which I suppose is why it's done, but prefer a bit more balance, personally.
ally,is in my SPIRIT,one young guitargirl, with talents, music and vocals, for going up AGAIN,the road is very very long, i hope ally is in good direction now, the futur prouved, my opinon. thanks ,sorry from my bad english pictures. jackyfan 👍france.
I like Ally but she needs to switch back to Strats. I get why she's playing the Gibsons (Sponsored), but earlier versions seem to have better "tone" with the strats.
A Strat would obviously be a great choice for music that was recorded and created on one,..Like this song. But a Gibson P90, much like the scatter-wound low output PAF Gibson Humbuckers, are a tone monster !! I'm sure that you are aware of all that but I felt like it had to be said.

Guitar based rock music is memorable for the prominant guitar sound. It is the lead instrument in Rock.
