Sheik is a solid fragrance. Been wearing it for almost 4 months now. I have been asked what fragrance I am wearing and received compliments on how nice I smell every time I am wearing it. It's the most complimented in all of my fragrances.
I actually never put 1 and 1 together to see that similarity between Eros For Women and Fakhar. Interesting thought...

Great video Ash! I usually get that funky smell from the first few sprays with Middle Eastern perfumes too but pleased that you didn’t give up and sprayed it again. I don’t have Al Shuyukh but I have Fakhar and whenever I wear it I get at least one person telling me I smell great😎Going to look for the other one now before prices go up from all your followers trying to get their hands on it too😜😂

Ive never doubted Ash'S integrity other than when I watch the faqhar reviews again again again and think HOWWWWWW NOOOOOO it stinks to death of fly spray. So confused

@@jade-robertboltman99 i know, I think I must have got a bad batch because it seems way too strong. I know that seems crazy to say becausewhy not spray less. But its like 1 spray makes me embarrassed to go in a pub because everyone in the place can smell me hard. I've seen little old ladies grasping for oxygen masks, and german officers calling head office to find out whether the gas chambers have reopened without their knowledge. Its mad. But I guess it must just be my bottle, cos again and again i see everyone loving it :/. Ash must be right. I concede.
I also experienced the same when trying Rasasi Daarej in decant. When I first smelled it I really hated it, I thought it was the worst, considering how cheap those middle eastern clones, and I promised I wouldn't ever wear it anymore. Then I stored for about 3 weeks while I was trying other perfumes, until I was somehow intrigued to try it again, then it smelled different from my first try, it's awesome to me.

Al Shayukh Final Edition has fallen under the radar. So, I'm getting it.
I own sheikh al shuyukh limited edition. It opens with a beautiful orange/mandarin and it is so beautiful throughout. Way better then coolwater or aventus for 12 pound. Come on ? One of my best out of approx 20 perfumes.

Have both from almost a year. Fakhar is fresher and mix between Y EDT and EDP. Final Edition is more leaning EDP, even deeper. Great for cold weather. But it is my nose only. Personally I prefer Fakhar.

Decades ago a friend from the men's fragrances counter at Eatons told me to NEVER use a frag until you had fully flushed the frag thru the tube abd sprayer to clear any manufacturing chemicals that might still be in the component parts. 10 sprays thru before it goes on the skin. I have to admit I've noticed a difference with some.

@@valeriyglenfoli3758 The manufactured parts are cleaned with solvents at production as well as shipping and just movement thru a manufacturing environment can and usually does introduce debris. Even a small amount of a solvent, rodent control poison, dust, dirt or whatever you can imagine but there will usually be a small amount in any bottle thus clearing the tube and sprayer just makes sense.
Ash, have you tried Lattafa Oudain? Please review that one
In Europe the Lattafa's got slightly more expensive. At one point you could get Fakhar, Bade al Oud and such for like 15 bucks here in Romania now they are about 25-30. Others like the Opulent line / Ejaazi / Sheikh Shuyuk or Qaaed were as low as 10 bucks now they are in the 18-20 range.

I think the very recent price increases are perhaps to do with steeply rising inflation. It's hitting products across the board here in europe certainly.

Have Fakhar and enjoying it for what it is, can't find sheikh al shuyukh locally so I'm out of luck on that front. There's another contender though, apparently Armaf's Odyssey Mega is a clone of YSL Y too. Probably another round of comparisons for you to do down the line🤣

I do have the Sheikh Final Edition and is beautiful. I can confirm that is not as youthful as you would expect from a Y clone, but man it works even better without that strong bubblegummy vibe of the original one. To me it is a winner, and performs better than Fakhar Black, it is denser, with more projection.

@@mlinger18 i don't own Fakhar Black but I tried, so don't have a 1 to 1 comparison from which I could pin point things precisely. The opening in Sheikh is not the best one, but it is a matter of minutes before it fully developes
my bottle of Fahkar just came in last night and I kid you not, it smells sooooo close to ysl y edp. A close 95% for me scent wise but it’s definitely not as strong as y edp. I sprayed both y edp on one arm and fahkar on the other and longevity differences is only about 2-3 hrs for me before fahkar became a skin scent. Obv y edp projection is way stronger but for the price fahkar is holding up to its own. Definitely worth a try! Thanks Ash for recommending a cheap gem 💎

When it comes to quality how different it is ??
I have both the ysl y edp and fakhar black. To me they don't smell all that close maybe like 80% the same. Fakhar is sweeter, fruitier and is less woody and less musky. Sprayed both the y and fakhar on my mid forearm and was surprised that both held up. From 9:30am to like 12 midnight. Y was more noticeable but still fakhar held up. The dry down of fakhar was still sweeter but came close to the ysl in terms of woody and musk
Fakhar is a blind buy guys. From the first spray it was great. An all around easy grab scent. $19.95 LOL. Don't care about the clone part. It smells great.

I have both fragrances. I will start with saying I don't have Y EDP and have never had a full wearing with it. I only smelled it once when it was in a Y line lineup in Ulta. I smelled them all and Y EDP was the clear winner for me as it smelled the least bubble-gummy and the most rich & full bodied. It was love at first smell. Y EDP was also more than I felt like paying when there are clones out there that are close or in the same ballpark. I was excited when Fakhar finally came in the mail, and opened it immediately and was let down. Although it had been getting great reviews for a clone of Y EDP, it was not what I had smelled and fallen for. I actually never wore more than once because then rumors started swirling of another close clone by the name of Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition. I bought and waited. When it arrived, same process. Success! This is the final edition. This was the smell that I had smelled before. I liked it because it is rich and heavy and long lasting. I have worn it much more than Fakhar. Late summer and early fall so far. Ashton summed it up expertly. Final Edition would be more of an all around Y EDP clone for the older generation. I'm in the 30's and it is more my style. Fakhar almost has a synthetic sickening sweet smell to me now that I have smelled and own the Final Edition. I am extremely happy with the Final Edition and will probably look at getting another bottle soon to make sure I always have it. Also the top corner of my bottle came cracked with very sharp edges, so be careful. It was still sealed in the plastic and the box was not smashed in any way.

Cool hack: Bought the Sheikh Shuyukh … and as Ashton states … not a looker … and most of that is the cap. Looks awful and slips right off. However … the YSL Y EDP cap fits perfectly … looks awesome, and doesn’t slip right off. YSL Le Parfum cap works just as well. Game changer for the bottle presentation. And hey … it’s a Y inspiration … so my mind goes right to it without any confusion. And the Y cap feels great. More substantial and better quality. Problem solved. Trust me … perfect fit. Bottle looks 10 times cooler. More compact and way classier.
You are talking about an empty YSL Y bottle's cap, right ? Because I don't see the point of using the cap of the 3 times more expensive (and better quality) fragrance just to make the cheap fragrance/bottle looks better. Cap is important in the fragrance conservation.
mine was just silver cap without that black square on top.. doesn't seem to last that long or maybe im getting nose blind..I might need to let it macerate a little bit before judging it

It's the "LET'S BUY IT" for me.
I have all three and Fakhar Black is waaaaay more bubble gummy. I couldn't fuckn' stand it. Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition definitely smells waaaaay woodier, but I could stand it AND felt it was the closer scent to Y EDP of the two that it's now making me question Ash as a reviewer. Layering or mixing the two together will get you the closest to the actual YSL Y EDP. I did 3 parts of Final Edition to 2 parts of Fakhar and found it to be perfect for me. Tones down both the absurd amount of bubble-gum and the woods.
Thats strange for me I get the most bubblegum sweet from YSL Y edp and feel fakhar is closer to edt. I own two bottles of each

Fakhar smells like the edt it doesn't smell a jot like the edp. The final edition gets about 70% of the way to the edp. But not as close as one would like
I agree. I wore Fahkar and Y Edt on each each all day. The Fahkar is a little sweeter but they are dead on each other. The Sheik smells
totally different. Same DNA but it’s more bold and. it as fresh. It smells Y EDP ish(twist.). I feel like it’s missing what ever makes the Y seems fizzy and Pop.

By The Way ,, Fakhar Mean (Pride) And Pronounced As : Fakhr in Deep Arabic . And Lattafa Mean Kindness .
Okay, so as someone who owns all four (ysl y edp, fakhar black, maison Alhambra yeah!, and sheikh shuyukh) the best out of all the clones is hands down: yeah! Fakhar is not bad, a little sharper, has more of that detergent soapy smell. Shuyukh is okay, but there is this sweetness under everything that I can only describe as…”doughy”. Yeah! From maison Alhambra is the best, well rounded clone out of the ones I’ve got my nose on, and if I spray it directly onto my shirt I get 6-8 hrs performance
How long does Yeah project off your skin? Does it last as long as or longer than final edition? Finally someone I can trust

I guess Lataffa is more taking their own direction on the twist. I like that though, it means they’re introducing new ideas
Sometimes I wish we had insight into these clone houses creative decisions. Like is a group of perfumers each trying out their ideas, is there clear directives? “We need to clone XYZ!” Do Lataffa or Armaf have in-house perfumers or do they outsource like most houses? I’m just fascinated by that side of the business. And who comes up with the crazy flacons?
@@James7995 It’s probably lucrative and a type of inside business for mostly Middle Eastern countries 🤔 My single hope from this is that they eventually stumble across discontinued scents and accidentally clone something amazing! 🤜👍
Either that or bad clones. Why would you put your own twist on a clone? I have never bought into that line of thinking.
@D crofter Uh, my man, not everything that has a “hint” of a note or blend you know is a “clone”. As Ash explained in this video, he said this scent has little to NO similarity to Y EDP. When a site determines it’s a “twist” that’s just their opinion because they picked up on one similarity. I can make a video and say “Every scent that utilizes pineapple is a Aventus clone”. Would that be true? You need to understand, just because they created something that’s SIMILAR to another scent, doesn’t mean that’s what they aimed for. As for my comment, I want these guys to continue trying to create similar scents but branch off in their own way. Maybe EVENTUALLY they’ll stumble upon great expensive discontinued scents I love for a price I can actually afford.

YESS ! I got a decant of ysl edp intense sprayed that on one hand and sheikh al shuyukh on the other and was almost identical, lasted longer and was way stronger.
How old for the fakhar would you say
Strange I have the Final Edition version and my take on it is that it's an even sweeter more youthful version of YSL Y (which is hard to believe possible). The sweet bubblegum opening is even stronger than the original.
I wonder how much batch variation goes on as mine is the one with the silver cap and bought about a year ago.

That explains why some commented Fakhar smells like Invictus (as Najdia is supposed to be a clone of Invictus Aqua).

Hello amir I can guide you since I have tried all of the clones except Sheikh al Shuyukh:
Yeah! Maison Alhambra: 95% close, 7 hours on skin.
Yeah! Parfum Maison Alhambra: Closer to the Parfum, still 80% similar to EDP, 9 hours on skin.
Armaf Mega Odyssey: 90% close, 6 hours on skin.
Fakhar Black Lattafa: 85% close, 7 hours on skin.
I cannot comment on sheikh al Shuyukh.

yes in the sense that all clones tend to be on the sweeter side and sometimes they have the bubblegummy sweet opening like invictus or they all smell harsh on the opening. The originals never do

@@Franco19xT also I tried al wataniah qahir and it's a ysl y clone. it smells very very smooth and well blended. It's more of a variation or a twist but my wife loves ysl y and she immediately loved it. The atomizer on it also sprays like a mist instead of shooting out like a hose on some cheaper bottles.
