He looks OK but I wish they made it that when the enemies crowd him, his magnetic powers does a knock back effect causing them to get knock back a few feet.
Kyle's 3rd ability does knock enemies on their backs, I usually use it to get downed teammates out off sticky situations like being downed in a crowd. And even in high level content, burning a full mag bar before it expires is enough to kill many full HP ads. If you can manage his bar enough to have it when you need it, he can be really comfy from a survivability point. And his 4 with at least 75% bar absolutely melts mission bosses, and chuncks about 15% of boss health if you use it at a good point. I just completed an executioner run staying in his face and soaking up his shots. The only time my shield broke was when he hit me with his sword. And the barrier more than soaks up his shots and almost fully charges your bar to begin your damage rotation
Ok so I have spent about 8 hours on this game and oh boy. I have not felt excited about a looter shooter like this in a long time. Every second has been excellent and haven't touched the surface. So far I am all in. So much damn fun.
How did you get your game to look so crisp? I've been in the settings and I still have this subtle blur and grain. I've been in resolution setting and turn blur off and added dlss and I still can get the clear picture.
In the beta, I played 9 different descendants and upgraded all of them to level 40. Kyle is hands down the most useless descendant, in my opinion. It's very easy for his repulsion dash to miss, leaving you vulnerable -- not to mention, you only attack a single enemy, making it redundant to the sub-weapon like a shortsword. He should either have a larger shield, magnetically pull enemies towards his shield before smashing them, or make it a "running dash" where he smashes enemies out of the way. Then, using his magnetic bulwark means you don't get to do damage to enemies at all when using it, making it a very special use-case skill, particularly in solo. It's inferior to both of Ajax's shields. Then, one of his only useful skills, superconductivity thrusters rely on you using two skills that don't work very well or have very limited use. On top of all of that, his magnetism drains over time and his superconductivity thrusters take forever to cool down after using. Compare that to Bunny whose lightning emission recharges almost instantly and only requires you to walk to recharge. Ajax is a far, far better tank.
I didnt get long to give this a crack today but enjoyed what i did play. Felt a bit destiny 2'y with the homebase, groups of 3, rough gameplay, few of the mechanics etc but was good fun. Will give it another crack tomorrow.
@@joshuaharris2345 The issue I see with Kyle is his abilities overlap with Ajax. So it makes him come off as underwhelming in comparison. Where Ajax can guard his team to survive longer, increase their defense, CC, and buff their atk power. Kyle is kind of just doing the same but, not as good at it depending on the ability. Also Kyle literally got Atlas' punch ability from Warframe and that ability was never really great.

But he isnt ajax
Too bad it was EXTREMELY easy. Impossible to die, even when you stand still and soak in all damage. Makes you wonder if they made the beta purposely easy to cater to a wider audience. Got boring rather fast, just running around with overpowered weapons unable to die no matter what.
@@fred6907betas normally only the start of the game. Think warframe where it takes u multiple hours to complete the main story then mods and such matter and content gets harder. That's my take on this beta anyway

He is extremely weak compared to Ajax, his charge has a tendency of charge next to the target, unlike vanguard in mass effect this skill is not a target skill just a straight charge, his shield makes him unable to fight unlike Ajax, his shield is OK but if u use it you wont use it's ulti. His ulti is amazing on paper but as it flies up cannot use in non-open arenas, it has a big multiplier BUT even while flying he is vulnerable to attack and when he lands he needs like 3 seconds to get up while he is completely defenseless...
Gotta be smart with his kit, you can rotate his 2 and 3 for nearly unkillable status, you can also use his 3 to give invulnerability for his 4 since you only need 75% charge to do max dmg
His 2 is super buggy, but other than that (if you play him well) he's actually a really tanky character, I use him to face tank intercept bosses pretty easily
Game is allot more beautiful than you think. Playing it on my 3060 ti on ultra and for what it is the game is straight beautiful and runs damn near flawless. My friend on Xbox s/x also says it's beautiful

1 thing you forgot to mention, kyle has 0mp, which allows you to make the most out of modules that decrease max mp

Can he charge in any direction or only towards an enemy? This is important for me to determine whether I should choose him or not..

I feel like AJAX is the superior tank , has 1 shield 1 bubble that both can be empowered and u can shoot while being protected + a stun .
Kyle is pretty meh compared to Ajax. Ajax is just a better tank and supporter in general.
