Obviously turning the correct amount but know when you need to back up or get closer to them while your being meleed. If you back up too far and they back up as well, they get a free angle to your feet. For instance that clip with me and amuru, I got closer to her every time she meleed so she wouldn't have anywhere to hit me.
The suppressor sounds nice, that's the only benefit really since Monty isn't really a "quiet" character. Muzzle brake is adding a little better recoil to a recoilless pistol.
Your entire upper body is blocked, nothing is visible when you do so. Your legs are really exposed though, it's best to use this trick when you have a waist high object to cover your legs. If your quick you can bait an opponent aiming at your head to try to target your legs and then snap down your aim on them as shown.
Bro I also main shields but I have problems with melee. I drop shot most of the time but the moment I am too afraid if shield bashing now and I lose most of my melee fight cuz they guard break me. Any tips? When you shield bash now?
Try to time your melee early anticipating them coming within range by the time it executes. Also, make sure your aiming for their hands since they are the further part of their body to you allowing you to maximize your melee range.

So, a little bit of damage which is ussualy 3 shots anyway with a little bit more of fire rate. - The DMR deals 61 DMG, PMM of Fuze deals 61 DMG also but suffer damage drop off. But you almost never shot at someone so far away, and with the low recoil I land to the head most time I shot at that distance. Not even Fuze, Monty with Revolver deals 78 DMG, able to down people on rook armor in 2 shots. The DMR can´t do that. And has a slower ADS speed. - For me Drop Shot is more important on BlackBeard than any other shield operator, why pick him if I can use Monty or Blitz for better melee oportunities? - Rapel with black beard is okey, but suffer the same thing has Osa, if the enemy is close to the window is really difficult to use. Yeah the only thing good for me on blackbeard is: - Claymore (Is mostly for fun) - Frag (If the shield doesn´t bug out) - Entering to a window via rapel. - Entering to castle barricades. - DMG can destroy hatches, floors and walls. - The arms are way more covered than any other shield. The only thing that I consider REAL GOOD is that I always play with a 5 stack that plays around me in every round attack/defense with a shield. In my experience, the amount of distraction Blackbeard provides is way higher than any other shield, people are not afraid they just go for the melee or they aim at you waiting you to ADS also. If I spam Q, E , CTRL, ADS to the cealing or meleeing something near they absolutly forget that are more people playing the game and my friends had the most easiers of kills me playing Blackbeard than any other shield. @@ellie_figure-8942 Blackbeard is in a alright state as he currently is. Its not often that i would choose to bring him over blitz or monty. When i do its usually where you need to take a upper floor window to start a push, for example, taking admin over on top floor consulate. His biggest strength in my eyes is being able to rappel into a closed window with his gun up which catches a ton of people off guard, especially is you have a teammate with a camera in the room telling you where to look. I always bring dmr on him over the scar since the damage is enough to two shot 1 and 2 armors plus the ability to break hatches on your own is nice. Out of the 4 attacking shield ops, i would put him at 3. If he has another meter on his dash range and couldn't be meleed mid dash, he would be way better but i do notice he is very good at distracting compared to the others, just the presence of an AR adsing you at any moment.

For the P9 on monty, should you use suppressor or muzzle break?
There's literally like zero difference in recoil if you're on console, so choose whatever if your from there
