I've always loved the design of this car, they look perfect in silver. I especially love the interior with its quirky seats and the Star Trek-style dashboard. It was a fun drive. While these cars will likely explode in value over time, to me, they've always been worth more than they’re given credit for.
I first came across the Prelude in the early 2000s when my uncle bought a used one in Nigeria. I think it was a ’95 model, and we took it for a spin together. That thing was fast!
Prelude was my first own car! I had 3rd and 4th Prelude through 1987 to 1994. I love 3rd but 4th was so cool. Thank you for showing your beautiful Prelude.
I totally agree with your enthusiasm for the prelude because I love them. My first car was a navy blue 94 SI back in 2007 which i crashed it in 2012. Now i have 2 1996 SI (project of course) which hopefully one of them will be ready to hit the streets again. Awesomely clean Prelude!! I'm from Scotland and own a 95 silver 2.2L VTEC with just under 90k miles. My biology teacher at school had one when I was in his class and back then I vowed I would own one of these beauties one day. In 2021 I realised my dream and never looked back. Nice man. I fell into a 3rd gen as a teen and I traded in plus cash for a 92 S with high miles. Owned the car nearly 10 years. Did JDM H22A swap, paint, interior, everything.. had to sell in 2009. 2017 bought a 2000 Type SH. Now also have a 95 del Sol VTEC. OEM+ builds on both. Nice to know such clean ones are still out there.
My first car was a 1992 S. So you’ve had a 3rd, 4th, and 5th Gen. Maybe I’m odd but I don’t care about any other Gen. Don’t like the body styles of any other gen. It’s funny because it seems to be the general idea that if you have a Prelude, then you supposedly like all Preludes. It’s unique in that you thought the 3rd, 4th, and 5th all looked good enough to own, and yet, all 3 look completely different.
I had this same exact car back in 2008-2010. Loved it. My drivers seat was blown too and it had closer to 200,000 miles on it at the time. The rest of the interior was spotless. Sold it because my third kid was born and we needed a bigger car. I’d go back and sell my other car and keep the Prelude knowing what I know now.
Yes sir. My son, who I sold the car because of, pointed one out last night as a “cool old car” and rekindled all the memories of that car. We’re on the hunt now.
4 Months ago I was able to pick up my 1995 Prelude 4th gen SE for 1k from my neighbor who was gonna scrap it, It was in great condition but has had over 200k miles on it, working on saving enough money to rebuild my engine and was gonna swap the head for the H22 variant, mine isnt stock anymore and its gotten a professional paint job, your prelude is gorgeous, hope to see more content!
I had a 95 Special Edition in green pearl in college that I got for around 10k as the second owner. Great car and served me well through school as I put a ton of miles on it. This walk around brought back so many memories. Def miss it but I almost never see them for sale these days. Hell, my S2k I bought after selling my Prelude is now a collector, too. That one now stays garaged and barely driven much itself.
“She’s a beaut Clark!!!” My buddy got that model when it first came out as his first car too it was gorgeous looked cooler cause there were so few of them. Super fun to drive and handle. I remember the magnet mirror covers on visor and how cool the antenna sounded coming up when the radio was turned on. Awesome score 🫡 njoy. Surprised you have gone out looking for a Sterling or XR4Ti 😆
Incredible Prelude there! I frequent the yards and have only come across (1) SE which was green and was in really rough shape. Interesting tidbit about the red or grey painted wheel inlays - that is wild! That Conquest is sweet as well!
I’ve owned three preludes in my life(a 1992, a 1995, and a 1994), and my current one I have had for 8+ years(1994 with an H22 VTEC) and I love this car. The dashboard is just so unique and cool. The seats are comfortable. It’s fun to drive. I like the low, long hood, the shape of the headlights, and the back of the car. It seemed like the engineers took their time on this car. Hi Really nice car. I am in middle of restoring what used to be the cleanest 1992 Prelude in the country (15 years ago, when my dad bought it for himself), but has fallen on hard times along the way. It is 1992 Si USDM, Milano red pain, completely original exept for wheels. I am looking to buy some original wheels if I can find any haha. Do you have any 1992 sales brochures or something similar? I really want to see what wheels were originally on the car and what the options were in 1992. I heard somewhere that there were a lot less wheel options for the 1992 year compared to later years.
The 1992 only came with 2 wheel options. The S trim came with hubcaps, and the SI trim came with the fanblades 7-spoke wheels (15x6.5). I do believe I have a 1992 brochure. Let me take a look today.
What a gorgeous 4th gen. I have a 5th gen now but I’ve owned two 4th gens too. Wouldn’t mind picking up one of the rare teal 1993 VTEC 4th gens. I’ve seen the red wheels once in the wild. A red car had them.

I have the exact same year and color, 109k miles. Definitely not maintained well as its given me a lot of problems, but I'm trying to bring it back to life. This exact color is YR-505M Cashmere Silver Metallic. It was only offered on Preludes in 1995 for the Special Edition. When the Special Edition was offered, it came in 2 unique colors (green and cashmere).
It looks great, I hope you put some miles on that car cause 1,000 isn't enough! Also, I really like the floor of your garage, did you do that? Looks acid washed, right?
@@LudeQuest Thanks a lot! I might do that on my garage floor. I really like the pattern you ended up with, I have a basic blue, it's ok but it dies pretty quickly when doing major mechanical work.
That Prelude is incredibly stunning. My dad used to own a Milano Red 93 equipped with the not so known F22A2 when I was younger, unfortunately he sold it back in 2013 after owning it for 13 years due to parts availability. Whats the name of the paint color? I've only heard about it just being green and special but never the actual name!
Preludes came in S, SI, and VTEC during 1995, but they offered the SE (Special Edition) for one year. You could get it in Sherwood Green Pearl G78P or Cashmere Silver Metallic YR505M.
H23A1(160hp) versus H22A1(190hp). You say yikes over 30hp? It would still be slow as crap. My other car made 750whp, so not really needing the amazing VTEC. 😁
What a beauty!! I have a 2000 5th Gen, but always loved the 4th. That dash is the all time coolest! Save all the Preludes. Such a rarity now a days.

My favorite is the 5th gen, but the 4th gen is my second favorite. 😅

@@LudeQuest Thanks a lot! I might do that on my garage floor. I really like the pattern you ended up with, I have a basic blue, it's ok but it dies pretty quickly when doing major mechanical work.
whats the colour code?
YR-505M Cashmere Silver Metallic
Sucks i can't post a pic of mine here for you
That Prelude is incredibly stunning.
You could get it in Sherwood Green Pearl G78P or Cashmere Silver Metallic YR505M.
i have a 2018 honda civic and the window trim is dust already 😂🤦♂️
I broke my VTEC cherry with this year!
I have a 96vtec in blue green.
Azure Blue Green-Paint Code BG-34P. That color was only offered on VTEC cars with tan leather interior.
@@LudeQuest that's my car exactly. Nice to see another enthusiast for this specific generation.
😍😍
There is the pic of mine in the link below
Beautiful. It’s a shame they made it FWD
That's actually the beauty
Yikes........ no Vtec
H23A1(160hp) versus H22A1(190hp). You say yikes over 30hp? It would still be slow as crap. My other car made 750whp, so not really needing the amazing VTEC. 😁
@LudeQuest as you mentioned in the video, it's not about the power. It's about experiencing Vtec kick in on a DOHC series.
@@KJig5 Not sure VTEC in a DOHC even compares to 28lbs of boost at 5K RPM in a JZ.
@LudeQuest yea, you can boost. Yeah, you can build for 600+ hp mods.... I'm just talking about a clean NA stock application.
What a beauty! Do you have an Instagram?
No I don’t. Sorry.
