    I don't know who taught him how to do brakes but that ain't the right way you don't have to take the big bracket off unless you replace the rotor, just take the caliper off and take the slab pins out grease them up then put the brake pads back in put grease on the end of those then slide the caliper back over the top put the two screws back in the slide pin bolts and that's it now if you take it off the rotor but then you going to have to take off that big caliper bracket but you can just take the caliper off by itself without taking that big caliper bracket off the way he's doing it that's too much work thank you

    Good video thanks for the info! Thought it was kind of funny though that you used a spark plugs socket to get the bolt off 😂

      @@BuckeyeBallistics no problem. 😉👍
      After I got that tiny little star bolt out that sucker (the old rotor that I was beating on before this. LoL!) came right off. Ugh! Durr4me! LoL!
      That was smooth, thanks again. You helped me out a lot.
      Toddly ☘️
      P.s. - Those keepers were kind of a pain to get them to stay in place too. Js. 🤔😁 But eventually I got them and the pads aligned and in place.

      Don't feel bad, I missed it at first too and had to add it to the video.

      I see they have a 05-13 Lacrosse manual- everything should still be the same for your 2014...

    DO NOT PUSH THE OLD BREAK FLUID BACK INTO THE ABS MODULE OR ON A CAR THAT DOES NOT HAVE ABS BACK INTO THE MASTER CYLINDER.
    This will push the old break fluid that is acidic into an area that will destroy seals and cause you to have to replace expensive parts that you don't need to replace.
    It's best to open the bleeder screw and pump the old fluid out. Then refill the master cylinder reservoir back up.

    They are TTY bolts. Must use new bolts. Torque to 111ftvlbs, then using torque angle gauge turn bolt 45 degrees then another 15 degress. Do thisxin 2 steps, do not simpmy turn 60 degreed

    Can you do a video for the rear brakes and rotors?

  • @philmartinson2753
    @philmartinson2753 2 роки тому

    I clicked on this to find out how to take the rotor off, I wouldn't of clicked on this if it just said replace front brake pads. Check your title before you post it.

    Torque to yield means?????

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  3 роки тому

      It means the bolt stretches when it is torqued, and thus shouldn't be re-used because they change shape after 1 use.

    You don't even show the rotor removal don't quit your day job.

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  3 роки тому

      You either since you need a video to change brakes and then still complain there wasn't enough info... Oh and btw youtube is my day job, so I won't quit! 😁 That backfired on yah didn't it smart ass?
