I think this will be the most controversial comment-they say the devils lies in plain sight, is it true? I believe so as history will show, look at Diddy and the Mayor of New York coming across as saviors only a short time ago. Look at Trump, now caught with boxes of top secret information stored in a damn bathroom. So, how come Steve Weinberger and a few high caliber officials have their own shows? Sounds like a conflict of interest to me, especially when today's society looks strongly at social media following. Certain popular athletes visiting those shows will help their shows and what do the athletes get in return?
At this last NY Pro, I felt it was a visit to please the piper. So, is there politics in bodybuilding?
This comes across as some mafia types stuff, when the beneficaries are the shot callers.

Another interesting topic would be legs; I love art and bodybuilding is art. Now, let us start with a few athletes as examples; Hadi Chopan, Andrew Jacked etc : Don't you think this era of modern bodybuilding has atheletes with legs over powering their upper bodies? We are they being rewarded for it? In my opinion, Hadi is imbalanced

I hope I can bring some substantial questions and conversation; So, controlling your midsection between rounds-If you are distended like Nick but can look great with the abs controlled, should you be given the green light to win? This controlling mid section thing for me should not be allowed, in my opinion.

It is funny as I have left multiple questions for the next show because you guys reminded me of a few ideas that have been lurking in my mind; Here is another one, DO you think Bodybuilding has reached the point where we need to address the elephant in the room? The elephant in the room being size! I say so because every bodybuilding channel I refer to, you will always hear the same thing; "He needs to be 300lbs". What is this magic weight number of 300? It is ridiculous because all the top pros are now sleeping with sleep machines, Do we really need to be this heavy and big??? A good example is Quinton Eriya, he was freaking massive and soft in the off season, came into NY and ppl said he should move to classic division. I am not a believer of this bulking issue any more. A conversation on modern weight in bodybuilding and bulking will be great

Am I the only person who thought the NY Pro was run in a pretty poor way on several levels. The most glaring thing was leaving the house lights on for the finals? Can anyone make sense of that?

Biggest problem for Nick is that the top contenders for the O this year all have a better balance to their physiques overall.
They will all have to come in off a bit for Nick to take the title.
If they come in shape, I don't see Nick taking it but anything is possible, admittedly.

I agree with classic not posing too classic. Now, Bumstead's presentation in the last olympia can be considered classic, especially when compared to how the open pose today. However, CBum's posing still has masculinity to it and it absolutely suits bodybuilding as a whole not just classic. SOme competitors go down the route of classic posing that is sort of feminine, at least that is how I see it. Some bodybuilders need to be more assertive how they pose, as you mentioned, like Urs. Wesley has started to do better now that he poses like he owns the stage, I will completely cut off the Arnold routine if I were him because he has a more dominant physique than Arnold. Breon as well does have some funny poses that he should let go of.

Nick Walker cannot win the Arnold or Olympia ever again. He's already realised his full potential without being good enough to defeat the very best bodybuilders. He can still win the small shows but not the major competition.

I love hearing from the experts in the comments🤣🤣 First off it’s anyones show these days…there is no dominant figure like a Dorian, Ronnie, or Phil….the door is open to any one of the top guys on the circuit currently. I don’t think Hadi or Derek are dominant at this moment and either can win or leave the door open for someone in the top 6. Anyone saying Nick can’t win are way off base….If Nick was at his all time best he could have won last year because both Derek and Hadi were not perfect and Nick may have been the one to separate them….it’s just the way this sport works….in current times it will matter how you truly look on that day….Judges are not awarding anyone on names these days, and if you are off at the O you will not be rewarded….I think the Top 6 this year is in contention for that title and it will come down to who has that total package that day, and to the nay sayers….Nick will be in that mix 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can Nick win the Mr O? Derek has a very nice structure but a lot of new muscle. His back shots are nuts but I think Nick can hang. Hadi, in regards to conditioning, is on another level. He has that hard, grainy look that only comes from heavy weight and time BUT Nick is close. If Derek misses his peak and Hadi is off just a bit, Nick can win it but he has to be his all-time best and he has to control the mid-section better. I am a huge Nick fan and I would love to see him win. The answer is yes, he can do it but the top guys will need to miss their peak, in my opinion. On the flip side, Nick's mental strength and will to win are out there in another realm. I guess we will see. Team Nick all the way with a close second in Andrew Jacked (the dude is a freak).

Can Nick Walker Realistically Win The Mr. Olympia This Year? If he can work on his midsection and tone it down, In my opinion, he is the only deserving athlete.
    1. Hadi: Great detail and condition, Average in size.
    2. Derek: Great size and condition is Average.
    3. Samson: Great potential, Average in Size and condition.
    4. Andrew: Great potential, has a lot of size in the lower body compared to the upper body.
    5. Nick: Great in size, and condition. Issue: mid-section.
The height of the athletes plays a vital role, if you are between 5.10 to 6.1 you will have a very good symmetric physique. Like Phil Heath. But Hadi, Derek, and Nick have maxed out their weight and proportions, the only way for them is not to go up but to retain their quality mass and go down. But Samson and Andrew have a lot of room for improvement. This year will be interesting as a matter of fact, after Phill, there was not a dominating winner, the winners keep changing. How good it will be to have an athlete that dominates the competition for years. Fierce words were exchanged in the press meet and a wholesome experience to see the winner. I have seen the press conference right from Dorian Yates period, the discussions people about the judges, collecting the cheque. people need to what the press conference from Ronnie's time. Man, that was great. all the top athletes will be one step away from tearing each other apart. "Unless we stop playing the number game, meaning who is the heaviest" this will not change. Phil won most of his titles between 240-260. Ronnie won 1998 -2002 between 240 to 270. But now even the amateur pro should weigh more to win any competition. Athletes should be bigger but not heavier, the illusion of being big comes from a waist inside the shoulder width, not the other way around. Can we name a recent bodybuilder who won the major competition under 250 in the open division? not many. @Generation Iron, you have been in the fields for years, you know better than any of us. It would be great if you could let people think about better conditions with a decent weight range it will be great.
