Saw this last night and I have to say, this was one of the best pieces of theatre that I’ve ever seen. The cast were absolutely incredible, the set was beautiful and the music was top tier. The lie in April wasn’t what I thought it was going to be though. If you haven’t seen it, you really should! Just take a tissue!

Got to meet matpat and the cast after the show. Ended up seeing this show three times! With just two days left in london and I went to see this show both days! It just kept getting better! I'm from the states, and went in blind. I went to a few different shows on the west end, but this was the most powerful. DONT MISS YOU CHANCE TO SEE IT BEFORE IT ENDS!

Just to let u know as some one who already watched it. The boy does indeed sing and play piano. However it is nearly impossible to sing and play the violin as u need to hold it under your chin.
On stage with her is a wonderfull lady playing along side with her.
And just to let u know the musical is sooo great and this little performance doesn't do there singing justice.

Everyone killed it but i do wonder what the direction on Zheng Xi's falsetto line in Speed of Sound was. It was ok but that line isnt in the jp album and i think it sounds better without it. No shade to anyone involved, obviously, but just an observation

I haven’t seen the previous concert performances, so I don’t know if Zheng Xi did it there too or will continue it in the West End run. However, it’s not uncommon for singers to have a little fun with riffs during live performances. Dean John-Wilson (Ryota Watari) had incorporated riffs in his performances as L in the concert staging of Death Note: The Musical as well.

There is a Watari adlib in Japanese evening live show that isn't in on the album that I wish he did here but what he did with the Ultraman line was fine imo. I like the variations different productions do.
