The bass on this is incredible. Thanks for the reaction.
That album is meant to be listened to from beginning to end in its entirety.
Duly noted.
And over and over. Like all of them.
actually as a beatleman i would glean more light on certain highs and lows by playing everything on random but i get your meaning and never more accurate for abbey road and definitely the dark side of the moon.
@@gandalfshakur8235 Moody Blues, Steely Dan - tons of Album Bands actually. But something else: when youngest gen listen to the cherry-picked Beatles songs, I hear them complain, "Catchy, but too short" and yes... but that's why God invented albums, I think... "Listen to the whole side, then the next, then start all over again. " And this "too short" complaint was just as valid in 1963-64-65 as now - it's just that those audiences had albums, not a cherry-picked playlist that hops around with no continuity.
Keep falling down the Beatles rabbit hole
You will not be disappointed
Only the fabulous Beatles could make a fun, happy song about a meter maid! I love them. The greatest band of all. 🌺✌️
… or perhaps a cheeky, vengeful song about a meter maid … 😉😆👮🏻
You’re getting into The Beatles psychedelic era
It's those heavenly harmonies at the beginning that get me every time, aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh
the Beatles had the ability to create these little masterpieces and make it seem so effortless, which of course it isn't
So playful! It really does make a difference having headphones. I want to hear the whole album this way. Thanks!
I love your selections!
THEY ARE NOTHING BUT AMAZING! Watching a lot of your reactions to their songs tonight!!
Great reaction. Who doesn't like The Beatles?
I learned to read at 4 because of this album.
I was fascinated with the cover & my mom’s name is Lucy. I made my mom read the lyrics to me through the songs. It made it easy to learn to teach littles to read. ❤
Sgt Peppers was probably one of the most definitive albums of all time took the Beatles from the past and into a whole new future musically and cemented them in music as legends
Good song good reaction
The mental imagery in “Rita” is so hilarious. 😆🤘🏻
I love imagining that one or more of the lads must have had a really nasty run-in with an especially surly meter maid one day, and their lingering urge for revenge inspired this cheeky tune.
Good Tune.
As soon as I saw this, I knew you'd be loving it!
You don't have to listen to the entire album. You can listen to individual songs on the album. Lovely Rita is a great song. The sound of the instruments, and the vocal...excellent, and yes, you are correct, The Beatles do not have a bad song. Thank you for listening to The Beatles.
I liked that you react to Beatles songs that others don’t. This is one of my faves off of Sgt Pepper’s.
The Sergeant Pepper album [June 1967] changed everything about album covers as did the Revolver album before it. 1st album to have all the lyrics on the back cover, started a trend.
Hey plz find out about Rita.
Long ago The Life magazine told the world about her retirement and after that nothing.
Big Beatles kick!
Ge the first to react to Savoy Truffle from The Beatles (white album). That tune has quite it's own jive - unfortunately ignored by all other channels up to this point.
Deep cut!
This shows what the band could do in 3 minutes . Pop radio back then forced everybody to say what they had to say fast . Once in a blue moon the stations would feature a more extended track , but many of these were crudely edited down . If you invested in an album , you would be startled to hear sections that seemed unfamiliar ... the actual track .
😍
This was based on a real experience where Pauls car was indeed ticketed whilst parked outside Abbey Road studios.
I also thought that if one was a fan with crazy bread.. that this would be an epic back piece..a tattoo for the ages..just sayin baby girl.
The head bopping in the last 30 seconds gave me whiplash 🤯🥴
There has been speculation that the bit at the end is the two of them having sex and ends with a climax.
(I know, I know somebody will want to argue with that but I don't care, it was the speculation at the time it was released.)
I understand this song came about because paul mccartney parked his car and the wrong place close to the studio and a Meter maid gave him a ticket for doing that.
Can't wait till you do side 2 of Abbey Road
You should try "Oh Darling" from the Abbey Road album
👏👏👏👏
Just found it, sorry!
A “Concept Album”….very few recorded because, it takes musical Genius’ to write.
Listen from beginning to end.
She's leaving home, please
If I'm not mistaken, John Lennon wrote this about a London parking enforcement officer who was ticketing his car for illegal parking and who got Lennon's autograph, while Lennon got the ticket.
Paul McCartney not John Lennon
Always know who wrote a Lennon & McCARTNEY song,or the majority of it,by who sings lead. PAUL sings this.
Watch the TRAVIS cover of this song, very wonderful (they recordered in Abbey Road with the same microphone and thecnical sound of the Beatles).
You are beyond cool for listening to this song. I thought I was literally the only person who liked this song.
This is probably me 2nd or third favorite on the album .
