This was exactly the video I needed. I'm not making enough out of the balls in my forehand green zone. I've just been doing the punch volley which is pretty easy for my opponents to reset. I'll be working on moving to my non-dominant side to hit these forehand roll volleys.
Thanks for a great clinic/video/coaching of all things pickleball. Special thanks to Coach Kyle for helping me out with this high ball situation at the TM camp in Minne!!
Great stuff, guys! I had no forehand roll before the clinic last weekend, but now it’s a weapon like my backhand roll! Love that I can use it up high too. 👍 Anybody watching these, make your way to a Tyson McGuffin clinic. Great focused drills, and the teacher/pros give lots of individual advice as they watch your game. Kyle came up to me and gave me some advice on bringing my non-paddle hand over to the forehand side when hitting FH. I now notice him doing it in this video! It immediately improved my FH (which was no slouch, but not as much of a weapon as my BH). I watch every pickle vid and you just can’t get those individualized nuggets without a great coach. First thing Kyle spotted and it was worth the price right there. Though I brought home 3 or 4 nugs and just had a blast of a weekend!
Great stuff as always. How do you hit this particular shot at 6:49? The one that hit the tape and went over. Whenever I’m still moving forward and get this ball, the tendency is for it to go in the net. I’ve adjusted and just aimed higher over the net but not sure if it’s correct technique. I know the remedy is to move faster so I’m not faced with this shot, but…. Thanks!
Great video, my wife and I have been working on the roll volley from yellow and never thought to use it in the high green zone! We now have more tools in our tool box. Thank you Kyle and Tyson.
He uses a continental grip at the kitchen line. If he has a little more time on a slower high ball, he slightly adjusts his grip to an eastern grip on the forehand roll volley 👍
Pickleball is a waste of time. Easiest paddle sport ever and zero money involved.play tennis because even at 4.5 level I was able to make 30k last year for my hobbie.
@@davidrandall701 pickleball is an extremely low level reaction sport. I can invite a tennis player to a court that played 4.5 and in about a week he’ll be a 4.5 pickleball player. A 4.5 pickleball player most likely would never be a 4.5 tennis player. 4.5 is college level and requires much much more
@@Mobev1 thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. That's like saying you can go play ping pong professionally. Tennis players always come into pickleball with a hard groundstroke and cant dink for shit and get exposed. Id absolutely wax you and I was just an above avg tennis player with no college.

Well you’re definitely not the golden ticket now 😂. Enjoyed meeting you and having you in camp.
Excellent drill and game!
4:48 the dog was having time of his life lol
Great video showing punch vs attack. THANKS as always. How to see you guys in ID camp next summer.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed 👍

It’s definitely a weapon once you master it! Keep at it and thanks for watching 🙏🏻.
Thank you Tyson for sharing these videos. They have helped me improve my game tremendously!
You’re welcome brother! Keep grinding 👊
I love your videos and recommend them to all my students. Could you do a brief video on how to get the most out of your backspin/slice return?
Thanks Zachary! We can definitely add that to our video list 👍
I tend to adjust the heel of my hand to control the racquet face for a roll volley.
Yes. Adjusting the heel of your hand is an efficient way to change your grip 👍
What grip is coach Kyle using for 1) green shots and 2) yellow shots?
He uses a continental grip at the kitchen line. If he has a little more time on a slower high ball, he slightly adjusts his grip to an eastern grip on the forehand roll volley 👍
Another great video! Now make one on how to find a partner willing to work drills.
😂
your black lab needs some screen time!
🤣
What is the dog's name?
I should know with as much time as we spent filming but I can’t remember 😂
Kyle was letting you win points. 🤫🤫
He’s a nice guy 😂

I'm sure you converted a lot of players to tennis. Good job. Get a life
