If i were to explain kagurabachi i would say that even though the basic premise and the overarching plot might not seem unique or something new, kagura bachi manages to execute it splendidly and in a truly unique and exciting way. For me kagura bachi is "it's not what the story is but rather how it's presented and portrayed" type of feeling. But that doesn't mean that the plot is bad or even mediocre in any way, infact the plot is pretty good and actually rather gripping. Even though it might seem the basic shounen plot at 1st sight, the developments that happen after the 1st few chapters are totally unpredictable and have me constantly at the edge of my seat. So yeah all in all i would say that the art is great, the action is phenomenal, the execution is splendid and rather unique and the panelling is ffking peak(fr Hokazono has real talent in presenting what's happening in a easy to follow but thrilling way). All in all, Go read kagurabachi and become a bachi bro.
@Naniwa_Tiger Well, Demon Slayer certainly isn't as successful as it is because of its novelty, and the most significant complaint I've heard about it is Zenitsu being annoying, so I can't imagine it's poorly written from the generally audiences prospective, so can I ask why you would think that?
@scottallen4569 how you haven't heard any complaints about it is beyond me, but here's a couple reasons why I personally don't enjoy it. - more plot armour than the big 3 combined - bland and 2 dimensions characters that fit a generic trope - terrible power system - bad villains, majority are poorly written, and the good ones aren't utilised well - repetitive - predicable as hell - the main characters are ALL annoying, there's no connection or any synergy between them. I could go on but it's a waste of time, there's plenty of other people who can tell you the same and probably more.
@Naniwa_Tiger Hm. I see. Tanjiro does have a fair amount of plot armor, though I wouldn't say it's significantly higher than Naruto. I don't personally take issue with the depth of the characters, save for Zenitsu, but I can also admit they are simple in terms of personality. I quite like the power system. I'm a fan of low fantasy power systems that place great emphasis on mundane skills as part of their use, and the Breathing Styles fit the mold exceptionally. I just wish the styles were better explored. Villains... I think Muzan, Rui, and Akaza are competently written, the other Moons... meh. They serve their purpose but are just sort of generically villainous. As for the repetition and predictability, that's because Demon Slayer is very much a standard shonen. It doesn't do anything new, I just think it does it reasonably well. Zenitsu is a pervert and I find them generally irritating in any medium, but I don't find anything explicitly annoying or incohesive with the main cast, but you have a point. Honestly, Demon Slayer devoted most of its time to the conflict between the slayers and Demon, leaving little time to develop relationships and to explore the power system. It used the time that it had well, but the lack of depth remains. I appreciate the series Brevity. It doesn't overstay it's welcome by going on 10 hour+ side tangents simply to explore a character or mcguffin.

For a lot of people the end of the first Major Arc (Vs. Genichi Sojo) was the turning point for a lot of people to go "Yeah this is alright" to "Holy shit this author might actually have the juice." If you wanna give it another shot, I'd request getting up to Chapter 17. See how you feel about it then.
I might agree with dandadan, but with gachiakuta I honestly find it too rambling and quite confusing. especially the last arc just concluded the pacing was strange, there were chapters in which the author gave you any lore drop and others in which it was a miracle if anything useful actually happened. perfect drawings but very shaky and not very defined writing.
