  • Victoria Cross Metro station is the new landmark for the Lower North Shore Sydney Australia. The new metro station is about 31 meters below the ground level, located beneath the central business centre of North Sydney. There are two entrances, but three exits. In this video, I will take you to walk through the beautiful station and all the exits.
The extended M1 metro from Chatswood to Sydenham opened yesterday(19/08/2024). 2000,000 people are expected to commute on the extended line. The new metro is a 15.5 km underground line, below the harbour and through the Sydney CBD, connecting many suburbs into the City and it takes only 11 minutes from Chatswood to Martin Place, less than an hour from Sydenham to Tallawong.
Sydney Metro is Australi's biggest public transport project. According to Sydney Metro, the metro program includes M1 line and three projects under construction:
    Southwest
    West
    Western Sydney Airport
    (113 km and 48 stations)
Sydney's first metro, the Metro North West Line, opened on 26 May 2019, and the new section of the same metro line opened on August 19 2024.

Victoria Cross ≠ Victoria. They named several things after the Queen who spent most of a century on the throne.

Why r u still sticking with one place

      @smallworldBigwalk  25 днів тому +1

Because I had to go back to the platform level to go to another exit. This station is not confusing but it requires some walking to go from one end to another end. Thank you.

No, I am not confused. The signs are very clear but it is very big and deep so I need to walk back to the platform level to go to another exit. Thanks for watching. Have a good day.

Seems rail transport in Sydney has a fixation with having to walk kilometres to catch a train. Pity the elderly that have to make the trek. Central is a rabbit warren of tunnels too. Awful.

@@harrygoldun5779 It's quite common walking a long way underground in many major cities in the world. I remember walking more than 15 minutes in Japan trying to get to an exit and got lost many times. Luckily we have many different means of transportation in Sydney. Thank you for you your sharing and have a wonderful day.
