Background:
Monsters & Memories started as a discussion between MMO fans during a series of livestreams, about what it would be like to create a niche, smaller budget / indie game, in the style of a Classic Fantasy MMORPG, but utilizing modern day tools and game development practices.
Really glad someone is making a MMO in the spirit of the MUDs and original MMOs such as Everquest. I have read your site FAQ and read about things you liked from the past (I agree with all of them). Questions for the devs: What are things that you are changing that you believe were not a good experience in the classic MMOs?
Hit us up in Discord or one of the streams. It's easier to run through this type of topic there.
Im buy a computer just to play this! Been following from years ago! Game is looking amazing!
Used to visit a restaurant in Potenstein Germany that served Kangaroo and Ostrich. Both are very good! Think the restaurant was called steak on the stone. You cooked your food on hot rocks they set before you.
Based!
Hoping for another super secret test before the coming end of the month weekend test. I managed to get some solid video of Night Harbor for an atmosphere video. Barring that couldn't really do much. Happy to stress things out though so you guys can get the code and all that nerdy stuff ironed out lol.
I'm friggin dying to try Spellsword. I've mentioned it before but, FFIX and the Vivi/Steiner combo used to enchant Steiners sword with black magic really impressed me all those years ago. Ever since then the idea of a Spellsword has intrigued me, and i LOVE procs ever since 03 with my first MMO, EQOA. Hoping to level one and test them out soon.
This is great. Looks better than WoW and seems to have a better gameplay and storyline. UI could have a bit more of a touch up but I like it!
The sitting around the campfire is quite comfy and has nostalgic vibes.
Token American living in Australia here, I definitely can get behind US west coast servers
Was on the west coast and got 30-50ping with starlink. Might want to try to see of you can get it downunder.
@@pyrothem that's pretty good, sadly I don't qualify for it cause I'm too close to Sydney. I have pretty good internet and last playtest was good.
That better be a drink that makes the game look better as you drink more lol
Hah! Looks good to me already. But feel free to grab yourself some beverages and let me know if it works.
Maybe we can line up a sponsorship angle if you find a drink that makes us sexy enough for you. Wild Turkey maybe?
The ogre look more like Donkey Kong than an ogre. Everything else looks good
You don't like Donkey Kong!? Weird.
Thanks for liking everything else though!
will i be able to get rich selling ports on my druid tho
Rich? Probably not. (this is not financial advice)
I wanted to do the stress test, but been fighting a flu. Sad.
Get well soon my dude.
Get well! We'll have more tests.
Roblox meets wizards 101!
Sounds tight. If we make a fraction of a fraction of what either game's pulled in, we'll be set.
whats a good graphics card to run this game, would a radeon RX 560 work ?
have a intel 13700k and a Arc a770 and FPS was abysmal. Night harbor maybe 30fps with 3440x1440resolution. Played the recent stress test.
RTX 2060, was running the game at a solid 60fps most times, dipping down to around 47 fps when i went up to the tower that overlooks the entire harbor. The most recent stress test was not a good measure for performance btw lol.
I have a RX 580 and it was fine. Lag was server side only on the stress test.
@@pyrothem well im hoping the next stress test isnt so bad
@jasondeslatte7611 true I am as well but it is a stress test. They are trying to find the breaks and fix them not have it run as smooth as possible. They will be over loading mobs, zone logins and such to help simulate heavy load to see where the mem leaks are and code crashes. So even if it is not really Playable, that is OK. That is the reason they are asking for help and not releasing a Playable version for the next 2 year by their rough outline road map.
