Just bought this exact exhaust! Just fitted it with a pipercross panel filter, sounds absolutely amazing, and seems like it has better throttle response! Brilliant value for money!
Ah sick! Yes it is so much better than the stock on and nearly a third of the cost cheaper than the premium brands, plus it makes all the right noises. What's not to like 😀
Fair play to you under that car…. I was screaming for a ramp for you. I had a Toyo Sports exhaust on my old r53….it was deeper in register than this, loud but in a good way. This sounds good for the money. I have a JCW210 now with the JCW exhaust minus the cat….it’s tame until you rev it and it pops beautifully. Great job fella.
That sounds insane, and yes, a ramp would be the dream 🤣 I'm chuffed with how it sounds for the money, I get a Milltek or Scorpion would be insanely good, but at also around £600 it didn't fit with the budget build theme. But for the money this one sounds great! Thanks for watching and commenting as well 👍
The R53 does it stock with a stock exhaust which is why I wanted it as I knew it would be good with an aftermarket exhaust as well. Mine is my daily and then the Evo is the pride and joy, but yeah if it's for work you've got to be a little restrained
I will do a full exhaust soon on mine. I just installed a JCW back boxes on my 2006 cooper s, far as I know the rest of the exhaust is identical. Sounds amazing and huge improvement for topend.
It will sit straight, you have to make sure all the clamps are undone, mess around with the hangars until its where you want it and then tighten them all up. got this exhaust on one of my r53's and I think it sounds better than the Miltek+scorpion manifold on my other r53.
I'm exactly the same, it sounds amazing to me, and the pops and bangs are crazy. I don't mind it sitting a little off, but I'll have a tweak around one day, when it's dry 🤣
Sounds good, but how is the volume compared to stock? I don’t mind a little different tone and the pops sound nice, but don’t want to wake up the neighborhood leaving for work.
@wouter2403 I wouldn't say it's crazy loud, I really like it, but it can get a little droney around the 65-70mph mark. But with having an Evo it could just be how I'm wired because that is loud lol
@@dominichills final review from my side: exhaust fitment is pretty damn good. Took me about an hour to swap the exhaust. Sound is a little louder than leaking stock exhaust. But driving normally not too bad. When I give it the beans, it’s pretty noisy 😆.
Great video! Now that you’ve driven it for a few weeks, what’s your take on the drone? Is it still manageable? It’s something I’d like to make sure about before pulling the trigger on one of these, as I plan to install it on my daily. Thanks!
Honestly I don't mind it, it is my daily as well, but for some people I have read they didn't like the drone. You could get a silencer if you didn't weren't keen. It's difficult to day unless you try one. If you're based near Norfolk I'd happily take you out in it
Greetings from the UK! Yes I had read that before which is why I didn't get one. Plus, we have a noise limits on tracks if I wanted to do a track day and the race one definitely wouldn't be quiet enough 😂
Yes in the cab I found it fine, just don't get the race version as that is loud. I avoided the hornet as a lot of people said it was so loud on some of the Facebook groups.

Yess Dom, sounds great! 👏🏻🔥 can’t wait to see the mini soon! 🙌🏻
Thank you Sammy, I know, I'm so chuffed!!

Good job on this one mate. Looking forward to seeing it on track.
Cheers dude, long way to go really to just get it looking how I want really. Exciting times though!

@@dominichills yeah probabbly could have a exhaust just dont rev it near clients I guess keep the rpms low

Hahaha feel your pain working on the floor. Sounds decent mate ❤
Cheers dude, I love it. And yes, proper ballache 🤣
Good job🤝💯💪

Sounds good to me! Not bad for the money 👌🏽
I know! For £250 I'm well chuffed!
@dominichills you can't argue with it, bargain 👌🏽
Do it yourself. You can save a lot of money. I'm doing the same and believe me. None from the mechanics will love your car more than you.
Exactly!
I love how my miltech full exhaust sounds on my r53
Yeah man, they're the premium exhaust! I'm doing the car as a budget build so went for the best cheapest one.
Sounds good, but how is the volume compared to stock? I don’t mind a little different tone and the pops sound nice, but don’t want to wake up the neighborhood leaving for work.
It is quite a difference, drone isn't too bad but you'll definitely notice the change.
@@dominichills so it’s quite loud? I have a hard time judging how loud it is from the videos 😆

i've got the race one on mine r53, a bit too loud when you have to do long highway drive and you go to 120-130 km/h.
greetings from Italy!

Easier on ramps probably mate 👍
So isit ok in the cab I've just put an hornet on my and its awful

Fair play is so much harder doing it on the ground!!
Yes I'll admit, it wasn't the easiest thing haha.
And a crawl board lol
Definitely 🤣
