John , I love these devotionals. You’re a great brother in the Lord from Calvary Chapel in Lebanon Pennsylvania.!! I might have one area of disagreement with you. It’s been on my heart for a long time, but I think some more historical research needs to be done on the actual scourging of Jesus. It happened, but if it was a cat of nine tails and there were nine individual lashes would one heavy blow count as nine lashes? I’m not minimizing what the Lord did for us. And end of question but I’m a history guy and I just being logical 39 lashes with a Cata nine tails there would’ve been nothing left of him….. I’m not arguing brother. I’m on the same page. This is just a thought and I’m more than happy to be wrong, but I’m just thinking it through.
I love to hear over and over what Jesus has done for us. It is finished.
