Take your time pre snap and try to figure out if a blitz is coming. In so many cases, they are showing. Thats the beauty of the air raid, it spreads the defense out and forces the defense to show their scheme. Hot route a check down.

Not gonna lie when the QB1 is over an 85 the drills should require all golds to overtake him. if over 80 all silver, and if over 75 then bronze. Just the bar is entirely too low. What you should be doing is playing scrimmage games (your depth vs the depth above or below. So 3rd string vs 2nd, or 2nd string vs starters) each week to gain xp to upgrade your player as much as possible during the year (it makes for a more realistic experience, and helps for people not starting as a blue chip) and this way if you never see the field you can be redshirted. It also allows you to build some familiarity with the guys who will be starters once you get to that spot yourself.
or like the bronze, silver, gold be determined by the distance in overalls between you and the next guy. so if the diff is 5 overalls bronze, 10 silver, 15 gold (gold in all 3 not just two of 3)
Does he understand what those numbers by the game clock mean. It's called a play clock. When you have a lead late in the game, you want that number to be as small as possible before you start the play. It makes winning easier.
