Same, and on that note, I don't think I'll ever understand why Russian media regularly uses voiceovers when translating foreign speech. Trying to watch Russian versions of foreign movies is miserable.

you have to remeber though that some or many people cant keep up with the subtitles or because of stupid nationalism want voiceovers so they dont hear other languages. This is true for all socieities not only some.@@AICW

Keep it up 👍. Hope you reach more than one million subs this year.

Tucker:Who blew up NS? Putin: You! 😂
In my country all Russian Media have been banned. It was a chance to hear his side of the story from his very words. I find Mr. Putin extremely intelligent and very diplomatic. I like Lavrov too. Best politicians in the world! I stand with Russia on this. The arrogant must go. His time is up. The tide is turning and the floodgates are wide open. I don't speak Russian, but I want to hear Putin's tone of voice while I read his meaning. The tone of the original speaker adds so much. I can't stand dubbed movies or interviews. I did a search for the interview - about 10 or 15 searches on UA-cam and Google for subtitled version - and nothing came up. Then I remembered Michael Rossi. Thank you, Michael. With Western media giving us giving us summaries that sound like parodies when compared to Putin's actual words, if they tell us at all, your work is becoming increasingly important. This has motivated me to support you on Patreon. I am ashamed for not doing it sooner.

Inspiring comment, also couldn't agree more about dubs. As a Russian that learned English I consider voiceovers unethic and even illogical practice, sure it helps more people understand other languages, but the prism through they consume that information is so cloudy, does it even matter at that point?

OK. I am about 45 seconds into this interview and I already know I’m going to enjoy this way more than the original version. There is something about the tone of the verbal translator that was used in the original video that just took away from Vladimir Vladimirovich’s facial expressions and meaning of his points. Here you read the words, you see his face, if you understand just a bit of Russian like I do, you pick up on that as well. This is a way better experience than the original. 45 seconds and I can tell that already. Once again, thank you for your efforts Michael!

Oliver Stone said: you need to hear Putin's voice. His approach was the best, bar none.
So why not just copy that instead of getting a translator with a Russian accent. What were they thinking? That in the absence of a Russian accent, the American audience would get confused.

This is truly a fascinating interview. It is simply chilling to see the smirk of self confidence that Putin gives as he points out the flaws in American foreign policy. I haven't been able to count how many times he said the word "mistake." I am very thankful to Tucker Carlson for doing this. I have a lot of respect for his courage to do it and I'm thankful to the owner of this channel for providing subtitles instead of voiceovers. For those of us who understand Russian, it is great to hear Putin speak in his own words and to be able to verify for ourselves that what is printed is really what has been said.

it might be simply human to smirk, when the US and its 40 allies are trying to crush you at all cost, in every possible way, with lies and slander - and you come out on top, simply by being creative, developing your country's strength. Can you really fault Putin for that? In my opinion Russians can be proud to have such a leader, and I do not hold it against him to be self-satisfied... And is it not the truth, that one mistake after another has been committed by western politicians? - And who paid for them? Ordinary people paid for those mistakes with their lives or being crippled plus endless misery! Re Tucker Carlson: I 100% agree with you, he is one of the most courageous reporters/interviewers on this planet. ♥And of course Michael Rossi is just TOPS!!! 🙂

Cultural refinance: 27:15 "B-but I'm one of your own, the bourgeois scum!" - is a quote from the antagonist boy in Arcady Haydar's story about Malchish Kibalchish, a short story about a young-pioneer (that is, a soviet boy scout) who dies for the soviet government while fighting against the invading forces shortly after the October revolution. It's one of the first stories a firstgrader would study in a Soviet literature/reading textbook. iirc it was the very first work of prose in the textbook, and it went right after the opening Pushkin's poem with a talking cat who tells fairy tales and sings songs
The Putin's quote is humorous because of its very phrasing in the original text, and also because it's from a small children's book. However, you can also notice a strong anti imperialist and pro Global South subtext in it
