I'm a Vietnamese born in Finland and have been watching you for over a year. Can't believe you've come here 😄Just ate at the first place less than 2 weeks ago also.
That’s fantastic news! 🤩The popularity of Vietnamese food has indeed spread beyond its borders. It’s a testament to the global appeal of its unique flavors and the entrepreneurial spirit of its restaurateurs. Vietnam. I love your videos from Vietnam. I fully enjoy watching you explore different places.💖🎉🎉
It was nice to view your video about Vietnamese food in Helsinki, Finland and meeting with a local Vietnamese woman who live and give you a guide food tour! And you know the food's names in Vietnamese!
You are the man when it comes to Vietnamese food. You know how to enjoy and appreciated Vietnamese food. Your Vietnamese was getting so much better over night. That is great Max !! 😀👍
'Clothes makes the man' - cleanly shaven Max looks so sophisticated in warm attire! I had no idea Helsinki has good Vietnamese eateries, was there for 2 nights with Danish friends in May and missed these places. If you have time visit Copenhagen also to Max. It's a stunning city with so much vibes.

So great to see you in Helsinki, visiting some of my favorite places! 😍 Me and my husband, who’s Vietnamese, absolutely in love with Saigon Cafe - he says it’s the closest you’ll get to authentic Vietnamese flavors here in Finland. 🤤 Love all your videos from Vietnam, and now even more seeing you in my city! ❤️
The man the myth and the legend that is Max, it's so great seeing you again.. seems like you have been missed by so many people from your channel.. I for one am so happy to see him back
love your videos especially on Vietnam and the cuisine. ==New Max Videos/Vietnamese== you have such a great personality and camera presence. you're awesome and make me want to try so many new dishes! LOL. if you don't have a book yet on travel in Asia and the cuisine you should definitely write one. thank you for all the wonderful videos!!! will be travelling to Vietnam soon. :)
Max, if you ever come to Dallas, Texas let me know. I would love to show you around, I have been your fan when you only have 40k subscribers before you met with Chris. I love your southern attitude.
My mom sells "Cơm Tấm" at 152/39 Lý Chính Thắng phường Võ Thị Sáu quận 3 in Hồ Chí Minh city and to be honest, it's so delicious. Most of the customers love our fish sauce and the unique flavor of the pork. I believe that you will like it, come and try when you have free time. Thanks Max.
As Vietnamese living in Finland (I was born in Vietnam, but moved here as baby) I've always happy to see many Vietnamese food restaurants. I visited Pho Viet in Helsinki is very good. We also has restaurants that are renovation only and also sell all kinds of dishes. Of course every restaurant has different style specially in seasoning of the foods.
Hey, what's up? Good to see you again, Max. Enjoyed the video. It was another amazing one. You look so fresh and young in this video probably due to the cold climate of the Scandinavia 😁🤩
Interesting that you were able to find Vietnamese restaurants in Helsinki, Finland! The dishes looked authentic, as they were cooked & prepared by Vietnamese chefs. There must have been Vietnamese grocery store(s) in Helsinki to provide the ingredients to these restaurants. Annie, having moved to Finland years ago to study, is a good host showing you around. I have Caucasian friends who much prefer crunchy Vietnamese banh mi over soft-bread Western submarines. Good finds!
So great to see the travel food videos! Any plans for seeing the Northern Lights? Wellness break to AR done you good! Looking well rested 😊. As always..thanks for bringing us along!
That's amazing that they have so many Vietnamese food options there. Who would have thunk it? And the fact it looks legit and has more variety than most in the US (outside of the Viet areas) is amazing!
Quite extraordinary that there are so many Vietnamese restaurants in Finland. I thought at the beginning of the video that you were in Germany, where there is a large Vietnamese community, especially in Berlin.
I was going to guess Germany as well. So surprised when he said it was Helsinki and there were so many Vietnamese restaurants there. And the food looked really good with lots of options besides just your typical pho.
Wow, Max! I haven't watched your channel in a while and came back to you speaking Vietnamese like a native! Now, not only do you eat Vietnamese fluently, you speak it fluently too! 😂🎉
Southeast Asian food in general is pretty massive all over the West now. It has grown in popularity a lot in the last 10 years and I attribute that to UA-cam and more Westerners traveling to Asia.
I'm surprised to see that in Finland they call the Vietnamese Banh Mi "sandwich" 🥪 . Banh Mi is a roll not a sandwich unless you are at Subway in the US where they call rolls sandwich

Long time follower here and looks like a lot had changed! I haven't had the time to catch up on your content here and suddenly I was like wait, who is this Mac guy... Did I missed something. I guess you're "Hey Mac" now. 😅 Vietnamese really is your favorite of all time that even when you travel to Europe you just want to eat VN food too. 😂
From articles I've read online at various culinary websites, I gather that there is a lot of good Vietnamese food all over Europe. France of course, but also Czech Republic, Hungary etc.....
I wonder if anybody mentioned this already, but mah dude, you need to come to Prague, especially a place called Sapa (known as Little Hanoi). We have a large Vietnamese minority here and there is a Vietnamese restaurant at every corner. Plus beer or something.
No matter where you go what country you eat Vietnamese food in the end Vietnam is still the best, cheap in price, and you can't put price on freshness ingredients that the food vendor and the small restaurant business Vietnamese people's wake up at 2 , 3 am to go to market to buy and go back home to prepare their food to serve, in the western they bought meat frozen meat are cheaper, veg and herbs are limited and pricey, there for favour of food are limited, Vietnamese people's in the western trying there best all because we all have the taxes man on our back.
It blew my mind that there was good Vietnamese in Helsinki when I was there recently, I walked past Quê Em without reading the name and had to double take when I heard Vietnamese people doing Vietnamese things inside. Had to stop in for some Bò Né the next day, they got the pate you are looking for.
7:12 sandals with white socks 🙀. Btw there are Vietnamese markets in some capital cities of Europe, where you can find authentic food 🥘 . Enjoy your trip to Europe! 🎉
Not really, it's pretty rare here in Germany, although there's a large Vietnamese community here and a lot of Vietnamese restaurants. I assume it's because Germany is oversaturated with local bread and sandwich alternatives.
Hey Max Nobody eats pâté hot but Vietnamese in Vietnam 😂 Pâté is French and is always served cold as one of the many charcuterie items (ham, dried sausage, head cheese etc.) I bet the restaurant didn’t want to gross people out by putting pâté on the sizzling plate 😊
Hello Max, I Really appreciate, 'enjoy vos posts', your 'Vietnamese Gourmet Vidéos' on UA-cam ! Please here find an answer to clarify why we can find good Vietnamese cuisine in Europe, en particulier en France. A large majority of refugees were sent mainly to the Middlewest, ex Fort Hood, 1rdt Cav, where the 'Platoon' that had fought were based, and to this they brought back their refugees allies. Another part was sent to Anglo-Saxon countries like my family in Australia in refugee camps to then settle in the suburbs of Sydney which you had visited for example in Cabramatta. And a final part from a largely French-speaking emigration was sent to Paris. These were Vietnamese but also Cambodians, Laotians and a small Thai emigration who saw an opportunity to reach Europe. They were mostly welcomed in a single district of Paris in the 13th (Quand 13), where another part of repatriates from Algeria also lived, French 'Pied Noirs' and Jews, and stateless Algerians, but it is in this 13th that we find one of the best Vietnamese cuisines outside 'Viet Town' scattered in the Anglo-Saxon overseas countries. but it is also expensive as you may have noticed 19€ for a Hu Tieu Kho in Helsinki, (the same in Paris for 14€) and the Pho Dac Biet two 2x bigger than in Saigon, HCM city because the appetites and portions are not the same but 15€ with a quality of meat of quality the French beef is of good quality (as good as the Japanese or Australian beef imported to Vietnam), the Vietnamese beef or the buffalo deserves to be simmered longer to tenderize it. Finland is the North Pole and not far at all from Santa Claus lol, it is normal that you are cold in this winter season close to '30c°' in less time lag in negative difference, with Asia.
